ARUGULA: Oh, I like your scooter, Dylan! Those beads on
ARUGULA: the spokes are so cool!
DYLAN: My grandpa just sent them for my birthday. He got
DYLAN: me these, and some socks, and a brand new board
DYLAN: game!
CARL: Oh! We were just going to my house for a board game
CARL: party. Do you want to come?
DYLAN: Board game party? Me? Yes! Can I bring my
DYLAN: new game? It's called Roll Roll Armadillo!
NICO/ARUGULA: Ooh!
ARUGULA: That sounds fun!
CARL: Oh. I've got a pretty big board game collection, and
CARL: I was planning to play Flapjack Match...
CARL: But I guess we can play your game first.
CARL: I've never played it before.
ARUGULA: It sounds like fun!
DYLAN: Great! I'll go home to get it and bring it right
DYLAN: over. But first - I gotta try that hill!
[♪]
DYLAN: Woo! Yeah!
[♪]
CARL: A little more...a little more...perfect!
[knock on door]
NICO: C'mon in!
NICO: Welcome to Board-Game-apalooza!
DYLAN: Thanks for inviting me!
DYLAN: I'm really, really excited to play this.
[♪]
NICO: [deep breath] It still has that new board game smell!
[♪]
CARL: This game is new to me. Are the rules easy to
CARL: understand?
DYLAN: Totally!
DYLAN: Okay, what color does everyone want?
CARL: I'd like orange, please. I'm always the orange piece
CARL: whenever I play a game.
NICO: Yellow me, please, and thank you!
ARUGULA: Hmm...may I please have the blue piece?
DYLAN: Of course!
DYLAN: And that leaves green for me!
DYLAN: Green is my favorite color.
DYLAN: Now let's start Roll Roll Armadi-!
[♪]
DYLAN:[slow motion sound effect] Oh nooooo!
[♪]
DYLAN: Phew!
[♪]
ALL: [gasp]
[♪]
DYLAN: I can't believe I did that! This is a brand new
DYLAN: board game!
DYLAN: And now there are only three pieces!
DYLAN: [angry grunt]
NICO: Bummer.
ARUGULA: Aww. It's okay, Dylan.
CARL: We can fix it! Somehow...
DYLAN: You think so?
ARUGULA: Yeah! Maybe we can use something else for a game
ARUGULA: piece.
DYLAN: [grumpy groan]
NICO: Or we can just play a different game!
CARL: Like Flapjack Match!
DYLAN: But - but I wanted to play this one!
CARL: Are you mad?
DYLAN: Yeah, I'm mad!
NICO: Happens to the best of us.
DYLAN: [grumpy groan, stamps foot]
NICO: Whoa, you really are upset.
CARL: Hey! Do you want to try something I do when I get
CARL: upset? I call it "Soup Breathing."
DYLAN: No!
DYLAN: Wait. "Soup Breathing?" What's that?
CARL: Here's how we do it. We take a deep breath in through
CARL: our noses, like we're smelling soup.
[♪]
CARL: Then you breathe out through your mouth, like
CARL: you're blowing your soup spoon to cool it.
CARL: [exhale]
CARL: I like to imagine that it's tomato soup.
DYLAN: Or soup with peas and noodles.
CARL/DYLAN: [deep breaths]
CARL: Yeah! Just picture it in your mind...star-shaped
CARL: noodles, and bright green peas...
DYLAN: Green peas?!
DYLAN: [anxious moan] My game piece was green, too! And now
DYLAN: it's gone forever!
DYLAN: Soup Breathing didn't work! I'm still mad!
CARL: My orange piece!
DYLAN: [slow motion sound effect] Not again!
[♪]
NICO: Oof!
[♪ Sad music ]
ARUGULA: Oh, no!
[♪]
NICO: Double "Oh, no!"
DYLAN: Grr!
DYLAN::[yelling]
ARUGULA: This is bad.
NICO: It's not great.
NICO: Hey, Dylan? I get it. I get mad a bunch. Wanna try
NICO: something I do sometimes?
DYLAN: Okay...
NICO: When I get mad, and my whole body feels "grr!", it
NICO: helps to tighten my body really tight and breathe in-
DYLAN: Okay...
NICO: But then, I breathe out and loosen my body really
NICO: slowly...Like this!
NICO: Grrrrr!
NICO & DYLAN:: [exhale]
NICO: I do that until I start to feel better!
NICO & DYLAN:: [exhale]
DYLAN: Grrr...
DYLAN: [exhale]
DYLAN: Grr...
DYLAN: [exhale]
DYLAN: Oh! Thanks. That actually is helping!
NICO: I've had some practice.
DYLAN: So...what should we do now?
CARL: Play Flapjack Match?

CARL: Or...maybe we can still get the pieces out of the
CARL: vent.
DYLAN: You think so?
ARUGULA: Yeah!
NICO: We just need a plan.
DYLAN: I can think a little better now...Let's do this!
NICO: Step one: Assemble the team. Done.
NICO: Step two: We need to get through the slots in the vent.
CARL: The slots are pretty narrow, so the tongs from my
CARL: salad utensil collection won't work.
[♪]
ARUGULA: What if we use something sticky to pick them
ARUGULA: up?
DYLAN: Like...clay?
[♪]
NICO: Perfect! Step three: we gotta smoosh the clay onto the
NICO: end of some kind of pokey stick...
CARL: Oh! I know! We can use a paintbrush! I have a long one
CARL: in my painting kit!
NICO: Great idea, Carl!
NICO: Now, step four: Poke the pieces with the clay and
NICO: lift them out of the vent! Voilà!
DYLAN: "Voilà?"
NICO: It means "Ta-da!"
ARUGULA: Let's get started!
CARL: I'll get some clay from Mama.
ARUGULA: And I'll grab the paintbrush. I know where it
ARUGULA: is!
DYLAN: Wow! Thanks, everybody! Now let's do this.
CARL: Oh no...
♪ DYLAN: [slow motion sound effect] Not again again!
[♪]
DYLAN: My brand new board game! My grandpa just
DYLAN: gave it to me, and now it's ruined!
DYLAN: GAHHHH!
[♪ Dramatic Music ]
ARUGULA: Hey, do you want to try some-
DYLAN: No! I don't want ANY more of your suggestions!
DYLAN: They. DON'T. Work!
NICO: Don't you yell at her!
DYLAN: I'll yell if I want to!

DYLAN: The last piece! GONE!
DYLAN: GAAAAAAHHHH!

ARUGULA: [quietly crying]
NICO: Stop it! You're scaring my sister!
ARUGULA:[crying] I know you're mad...
DYLAN: I'm not mad, I'm FURIOUS!

ARUGULA: [tearful] But that's not an excuse to yell at us and
ARUGULA: hurt our feelings.
CARL: Um...Er...Maybe we should go outside and give you
CARL: space to calm down...
[♪]
DYLAN: [angry groans]
[♪]
NICO: That guy's having some BIG feelings.
[♪]
CARL'S MOM: Having a tough day, huh?
CARL'S MOM: Can you tell me what happened?
DYLAN: We were supposed to play my new game, but my game
DYLAN: piece fell into the vents. I was so upset about
DYLAN: it that I stomped my feet and yelled and threw
DYLAN: the board...so now all the pieces are in
DYLAN: the vents.
DYLAN: And then...everyone walked away. I don't blame
DYLAN: them. I wouldn't want to play with me either.
CARL'S MOM: Ooh. That sounds really rough. Was this game
CARL'S MOM: special?
DYLAN: Yeah! It was brand new. My grandpa just gave it to me.
DYLAN: And I really wanted to play it with everyone...I'm
DYLAN: still the new kid at school, and I really wanted
DYLAN: everyone to like me, so I thought we could have fun
DYLAN: together, but if I lost the pieces, then we couldn't
DYLAN: play, and then - and then...
DYLAN: [sad groan]
CARL'S MOM: Oh, I hear you.
CARL'S MOM: You know, sometimes when we get mad, it
CARL'S MOM: helps to just take a break and go move our body in
CARL'S MOM: a way that's fun for us - like taking a walk,
CARL'S MOM: or jumping or...
DYLAN: Or riding my scooter?
CARL'S MOM: Yes! See, that helps get the angry energy out
CARL'S MOM: and then we can think more clearly about
CARL'S MOM: why we're mad.
DYLAN: I just wanted to have fun with my new friends...but
DYLAN: now I ruined it.
CARL'S MOM: Well, I wouldn't be so sure about that. Let's go
CARL'S MOM: talk to them. I will be right here behind you.
[♪]
DYLAN: Thanks, Carl's Mom.
CARL'S MOM: Aww, you're welcome.
[♪]
CARL: And this one is called "Around the World."
NICO: Ooh, I haven't seen this trick yet!
[♪]
ARUGULA/NICO: Oh! / Beautiful!
DYLAN: Carl, Nico, Arugula. I want to apologize.
DYLAN: I shouldn't have gotten so angry.
NICO: It's okay to get angry. Everyone gets angry sometimes.
NICO: But it's not okay to yell at other people or make
NICO: them feel unsafe!
DYLAN: I know. I was excited to play, and then everything
DYLAN: went wrong. I know you were all just trying to help
DYLAN: me. I'm really sorry for yelling at you and
DYLAN: stomping around.
ARUGULA: Thanks for saying that, Dylan.
CARL: And we really do want to help!
CARL: Let's go back inside. We can still use my paintbrush
CARL: and clay to finish our plan!
DYLAN: You still want to play with me?
ARUGULA: Of course we do! Let's get to it!
[♪]
NICO: Careful...Careful!
ARUGULA: Almost got ‘em...
CARL: Aaaannnnnnd...Oops!
CARL: My paintbrush!
DYLAN: My game pieces! I'll never get them back now!
DYLAN: Ooh!
DYLAN: [big exhale]
DYLAN: Wait. I'm starting to get upset...I'm gonna go ride
DYLAN: my scooter and move my body!
CARL: Good idea. I think I'll come with you.
NICO: Let's all go together.

DYLAN/NICO/ARUGULA/CARL: Whee!/Yay!

DYLAN: I feel a LOT better now!
NICO: Totally.
DYLAN: Can we head back to your place? I'm sure we can
DYLAN: figure something out.

DYLAN: Hey! I've got an idea! These beads are the same
DYLAN: colors as my game pieces!
NICO: So?
DYLAN: So, we can use them as the pieces to
DYLAN: play Roll Roll Armadillo!
ARUGULA: Oh! That's a great idea!
DYLAN: Thanks! When I'm calmer, I can think a lot
DYLAN: more clearly.
DYLAN: It's time to play... Roll Roll Armadillo!

CARL: Phew.
FRIENDS: [laughing together]
ARUGULA: Okay, who's turn was it?
CARL: Oh, oh! My turn!
CARL: Yes! Your turn, Nico.
NICO: Yay! Yes!
CARL: Nice!

CARL'S MOM: Well, what do you know.

CARL'S DAD: Out you go, Carl.

CARL'S DAD: Carl, I've got your stuff! Oh hey, Maude!
CARL'S MAMA: Hello, Harold!
CARL: Oh.
CARL'S MAMA: Well, hello, upside down Carl!
CARL: Mama! Dad got me the most amazing book! It's called
CARL: the FuzzyWorld Book of Records!
CARL: It's filled with everyone who has set the
CARL: greatest records in the WHOLE. FUZZY. WORLD!
CARL'S MAMA: Oh yes! I know this book. They had it when I
CARL'S MAMA: was a kid, too. Oh boy, I loved it!
CARL: You see, Mama, every single year, anyone who wants
CARL: to, can try to set a Fuzzy World record.
CARL: There is someone who holds the record for having
CARL: the longest beard, which is EIGHT FEET AND THREE INCHES
CARL: LONG!
CARL: There is someone who did the most magic tricks
CARL: underwater! TWENTY!
CARL: There's even a KID who set the record for stacking
CARL: the most blocks on top of ONE block.
CARL: SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY BLOCKS! It's amazing.
CARL'S MAMA: Mmm, so what I'm getting is, you really like
CARL'S MAMA: your new book!
CARL: No. I don't just like it. I am going to be IN
CARL: it.
CARL'S MAMA/CARL'S DAD: Ahh!/Oh!
CARL: Yes. I, Carl, am going to get into the FuzzyWorld
CARL: Book of Records. And be officially amazing.
CARL'S MAMA/CARL'S DAD: That's great!/ Can't wait!
CARL: I already have two of the three most important
CARL: things I need: determination and persistence.
CARL'S DAD: You do seem determined.
CARL: Yes. My mind is made up.
CARL'S MAMA: And the persistence part?
CARL: Yes. I am going to try and try until I accomplish it.
CARL: Because I'm persistent.
CARL'S DAD: So...what are you missing?
CARL: An idea. The only thing left to figure out is what
CARL: kind of record I should set.
CARL'S DAD: Hmm. Hey! Maybe you can set the record for
CARL'S DAD: having the most collections. You do have a lot
CARL'S DAD: of collections!
CARL: Dad, the record-holders in this book have collections
CARL: that make mine look teeny-tiny.
CARL'S DAD: Okay, well, how about setting the record for
CARL'S DAD: the most argyle sweater vests?
CARL: Hmm...
CARL: No, Dad. That record is held by Dr. Stephen Shore. He
CARL: has six hundred and thirteen vests and counting!
CARL'S MAMA: If you want to try and break the record for
CARL'S MAMA: the longest hug, I'm happy to help.
CARL: No thanks, Mama.
CARL: [gasp]
CARL: I've got it! My goal is to make a way bigger Pizza
CARL: Pyramid model than the current record holder, who
CARL: used cards to make it!
CARL: I will use all cards from my card collection to
CARL: make my Pizza Pyramid model! I will need some
CARL: witnesses, and some documentation, proving I did
CARL: it, but I'm going to get started...RIGHT NOW!
CARL'S MAMA: Go get ‘em, honey!
CARL'S DAD: We believe in you!
[♪]
CARL'S MAMA: Whoa, someone holds the record for the
CARL'S MAMA: fastest time pulling a school bus with
CARL'S MAMA: their TEETH?
CARL'S DAD: Whaaaat? Lemme see that!

CARL: World Record...here I come!

CARL: [tired sigh]

CARL: Mama! Dad!
CARL'S MAMA: Coming, Carl!
CARL'S: We'll be right there!
[parents' footsteps]
CARL'S MAMA: We're here.
CARL'S DAD: Here we are.
CARL: [whispering] Can... you... guys... walk... more... softly?

CARL: Phew.
CARL: Oh no!
CARL'S MAMA: Aww, what a bummer. I'm so sorry, hon.
CARL'S DAD: But it was amazing! And on your very
CARL'S DAD: first try, right?
CARL: That's right. It WAS my first try.
CARL'S DAD: And you still got your determination and
CARL'S DAD: persistence, right?
CARL: Yes. That's right.
CARL'S DAD: So you're gonna try again, right?
CARL: Right!
CARL'S MAMA: Amazing!
CARL: And not just that! I have learned a few things from
CARL: my last attempt.
[♪ Collecting Thoughts ]
CARL: Perhaps, the cards would be steadier, if I put down a
CARL: flat surface first, like cardboard.
CARL'S MAMA: Ah! We have lots of that.
CARL: And since the cards are sensitive to air-flow, I
CARL: should make sure the windows are closed, the fans
CARL: are off, and everyone should tip-toe.
[♪]
CARL: That will make for better building.
[♪]
CARL'S MAMA: Maybe I could set the camera up on a tripod, so
CARL'S MAMA: it records your whole build?
CARL: Yes!
CARL'S DAD: And maybe you could have a snack and refuel
CARL'S DAD: before you start building again?
CARL: Okay. It's a plan.
CARL: I am going to do this. I'm gonna build the biggest
CARL: Pizza Pyramid in cards! And I am going to get into
CARL: the FuzzyWorld Book of Records! Hmph.
[♪]
CARL: Okay, cards. Prepare to be balanced.
[♪]
SHELDON: [quietly]...Carl? Buddy?
SHELDON: Your parents said you are trying to set the
SHELDON: FuzzyWorld Record building with cards? That's so
SHELDON: cool!
CARL: Yes! I'm building the biggest model of Pizza Pyramid
CARL: in Fuzzytown History! Come in and see what I made!

CARL: Ta-daaa!
[♪]
CARL: No!
[♪]
CARL: [whispering] It looks pretty good.
SHELDON: [whispering] It looks amazing!
CARL: But something is wrong.

CARL: I know! I forgot to add the tiny tables outside.

SHELDON: Sooo delicately.

CARL: Careful...

[Alien spaceship sound]
CARL: [sniffs, then starts to cry]
CARL'S MAMA: Carl?
CARL'S DAD: We're coming up!
CARL'S DAD: Ohhh...

CARL'S DAD: Oh, Carl, do you want to talk about it?
CARL: No.
CARL'S MAMA: You wanna try bouncing a little?
[♪]
CARL: I want to be in that book. But my cards keep
CARL: falling down. I will never be in the FuzzyWorld
CARL: Book of Records. Maybe I will set the record for being
CARL: the biggest failure.
CARL'S MAMA: Just because we fail at something, doesn't
CARL'S MAMA: mean WE are a failure. Sometimes failing
CARL'S MAMA: is...it's a part of learning. Do you remember
CARL'S MAMA: how many times I fell down before I could do a
CARL'S MAMA: headstand?
CARL'S MAMA: Every day I would try to balance upside down.
CARL'S MAMA: First, I couldn't get my legs up.
[♪]
CARL'S MAMA: Then, I couldn't get them to stay up.
CARL'S MAMA: [laughing to herself] I fell so many times.

CARL'S MAMA: But I kept trying. Again and again,
CARL'S MAMA: getting a little stronger and staying up a
CARL'S MAMA: little longer every time.
[♪]
CARL: [still sad] And now you can do headstands.
CARL'S MAMA: That's right!
CARL'S MAMA: Even though I had to fail a lot to get there -
CARL'S MAMA: and I mean a lot-
CARL'S MAMA: I just had to persist, until I was strong
CARL'S MAMA: enough to reach my goal.
CARL'S DAD: Remember how many times we tried to bake bread
CARL'S DAD: before we got it right?
CARL: Yes. I will always remember the bread.
CARL'S DAD: At first we couldn't get the temperature
CARL'S DAD: right, and kept accidentally burning them...
CARL'S DAD: Then one time we used too much yeast and forgot
CARL'S DAD: to turn on the oven, and it expanded all over
CARL'S DAD: the place!
CARL'S DAD: And sometimes the braid didn't stay braided.
CARL'S DAD: But eventually, we got it just right.
CARL'S MAMA: And now, your bread is the best!
CARL: It is good now, Dad.
SHELDON: Oh, that reminds me of the time I kept trying to
SHELDON: whistle through my teeth! Remember that, Carl?
[♪]
[spitty sounds]
SHELDON: My mom tried to teach me how.
SHELDON'S MOM: [perfect whistle]
SHELDON: I tried...and tried...
[spitty sounds]
SHELDON: I practised...And practised...
SHELDON: [slowly improving]
SHELDON: And then one day...[perfect whistle]
SHELDON: I finally got it!
SHELDON: And now, I can whistle.
SHELDON: [strong whistle]
CARL: But I really want to be in the FuzzyWorld Book of
CARL: Records. I really want to be amazing.
CARL'S MAMA: Well you already are AMAZING! But I know this
CARL'S MAMA: goal is important to you.
CARL'S DAD: And I am AMAZED by your determination and
CARL'S DAD: persistence.
SHELDON: Don't give up, buddy. It's just a matter of time
SHELDON: until you're in this book.
CARL: You're right, Sheldon. Maybe I won't be in the
CARL: next Book of Records, but maybe I'll be in the one
CARL: after that, or the one after that!
[♪]
CARL: But I think the next time I do a card-build,
CARL: I should build on a concrete floor, with LOTS of
CARL: space.
[♪]
CARL: Like in a garage!
CARL: And maybe I should sketch the whole thing out
CARL: first, so I know exactly what it's going to look like
CARL: before I start.
[♪]
CARL: And maybe I could watch some tutorials with some
CARL: tricks and tips for card-builders.
[♪]
CARL: And ONE DAY, I will build the biggest Pizza
CARL: Pyramid out of playing cards!
CARL: And I will officially be in the FuzzyWorld Book of
