The helicopters,

before I got with Wayne.

They are a great group of girls.

They're up for a laugh. They're all mums.

And I would say they are good friends
of them both, so it's so entangled.

But a really solid friendship group.

We've had loads of good times
over the years, haven't we?

And we still do have good times.

Coleen's still got her Liverpool friends.

If she was to come down,
she'd still go back to the local pub

in Crocky where she grew up,
and they'll all be together.

I've got really great friends
who have been loyal since the beginning.

And that's why we're still,

Loyalty and trust is
a lot in my friendship groups.

So I do go back to Liverpool a lot.

Lisa used to do my auntie's hair.

And, yeah, she's still around
all these years later.

And Emma is my beautician.

No, I was trying to work out
on the way down...

how old was I
when I first got my highlights done?

-Just before you were with Wayne.
-[Coleen] So about 15, was it?

-[Lisa] Must have been.
-[Coleen] Yeah.

They'd come to my mum's,

so it's a good catch up for everyone
if my mum is in.

[Lisa] We're having a little freshen up
today, aren't we?

Good luck, because it's still got
all the stuff in from the weekend.

[laughs]

-I'm not going grey yet, am I?
-No.

[laughs]

[Coleen] The court case blew up
like I could never have imagined.

My friends were so important
during that time.

That was quite hard to...
to watch her go through that.

I said to you, didn't I,
"You don't think it's me, do ya?"

Yeah. Yeah.

And I was gutted, because it was not...

Like, I would never thought it
would be someone, like, close to me.

And I hated knowing
that people thought that.

-[camera shutters clicking]
-[Coleen] It was worldwide press.

Excuse me.

I really struggled with that

because it was press
that I didn't want and I-I didn't ask for.

I think people were really shocked
at how she handled that case.

And when she turned up to court
with 17 ring binders full of information.

Like, this girl's on it.

When the verdict came out,
the support that I got was comforting.

It was nice to know
that people were rooting for me

and believed that I was telling the truth.

I am full on team Coleen.

She is grace, she is class.

Did you guys watch the jungle?

-Yeah.
-Yeah, we did.

-[both chuckle]
-Yeah. Very proud.

[Emma] She had the best hair in there.
Didn't you, Col?

You were worried about me at first,
wasn't youse?

You know, I just didn't know how you'd be
without the kids and your mum. [chuckles]

I was quite scared for her, actually.

-We're so proud of that, aren't we?

In the jungle, she done amazing.

I didn't go in there expecting to win.

[Emma] I was fuming. [grunts]

[chuckling]

The jungle opened up a lot of doors.

Today, I'm on my way for a meeting
with the guys at Applied Nutrition,

a health and wellness company

that are based in Liverpool.

It's always nice to stick to your roots

and work with companies that are born
and bred in Liverpool, you know, our home.

It's a massive part of us and our lives.

I did have all the children in Liverpool,

because we wanted Liverpool on
the passport as their place of-of birth.

Birth certificate. I said to Kai, I said,
"Where are you from?"

-He's gone, "Liverpool".
-Yeah, they say Liverpool.

It was, like, "Well, you've lived in
Manchester, Cheshire, your whole life".

He goes, "Yeah, but I was born
in Liverpool. I'm a Scouser".

-"You don't even sound like a Scouser."
-[laughs]

What do you think? What are you?

-I'm from Southampton.
-[laughs]

-A Geordie.

[Coleen] I've used Applied Nutrition
supplements over the years,

and when they asked

would I get involved with the brand,
I was really interested.

So I'm Thomas Ryder.

I'm the founder
and CEO of Applied Nutrition.

Applied Nutrition started off
in spit and sawdust gyms.

A lot of big guys knocking
around the Liverpool gyms, you know.

That's where supplements were born.

That's where the industry was back then.

But sports nutrition, which is what
it once was, is now health and wellness.

And about six months ago,

we contacted Coleen
to come on board with us

so we could expand
more into that female demographic.

And we are now appealing to more
and more women

every single day now because of Coleen.

We had a couple of investors
come around a couple of weeks ago.

And we've got red hairnets and blue
hairnets and they're staunch blues.

And they wouldn't put it on.
No. We had to get them blue hairnets.

As you can see,
your product is being filled.

You can see it on the line running now.

Still amazes me how all this works.
So... [laughs]

-In our lovely hairnets. [chuckles]
-I know.

We signed an exclusive deal with
Holland & Barrett for the Coleen range.

She's coming in to sample
some of the new products today.

We'll take her feedback and hopefully
those products will reach the market soon.

So these are one of the product extensions

that we've done for Holland & Barrett.

So, on the back of the success
of the Coleen collagen powders.

I personally think they taste delicious.

But it'd be great to get your feedback
on them today, Coleen.

[Coleen] I don't know whether I...

that's... I could drink
a whole can of that.

-Yeah.
-It's nice, but I... I think personally,

I think, um...

I think there'll be others that I like
better than that... looking at the flavours.

If I don't like it, then I'm gonna say.

She doesn't hold back.
She's absolutely honest.

It's great that they give me that freedom.

I wanna make sure that the product's right

for my audience
and the people that buy it.

It's going well for Liverpool, but
they're relying on late goals to do it.

you've got confidence and belief

I tell him, when Everton play,

Today, I'm promoting the new Applied
Nutrition range by Holland & Barrett.

People might ask you some questions
about your range,

and I'm sure people will want pictures.

They've organised a ticketing,
sort of, route in.

So they've set it up
so there's a bit of a barrier.

[Coleen]
I would like to just blend in the shop.

I know you would.

And not be on show.

But it's not as straightforward as that

'cause otherwise, you'll just get
anybody walking into that area.

I don't like to be separated
from other people.

I like it to be more social.

No. Well, I thought I just wasn't
gonna be on show in a way, do you know?

I know it's not on show
but with barriers round it, it is on show.

[Coleen] So, it's just obvious.

-If we just get rid of barriers...

-And then I can just be in the shop.

That's hard for me because I just don't
like to draw attention to myself.

I just... don't like to just be on show.

I felt more comfortable

and was happy to chat to the customers
and the people that attended.

People must be interested in me,

which I've always found that hard
to get my head around.

look at Coleen different

'cause they put her on a pedestal,

"I'm no different from anyone else."

Because that's how she's been brought up.

Went to church every Sunday
until they were 16.

So she's learnt about respect,
about not looking down on people.

Tony didn't like having anything better
than anyone else.

[Colette] Even going to McDonald's.

He'd put it in a different bag
bringing it into the house,

so the kids in the street didn't see
what they were getting

in case they couldn't afford it.

[Coleen] From my upbringing to where
I am now, it is totally different.

That is one thing that
I've never took for granted.

In our old house, we had a trophy room

in a part of the house that you don't
ever go in, you don't see.

So, when we were building this house,

I suggested that we have it somewhere
you can see it all laid out.

Because when you think about it,

all these achievements and hard work
got us this house.

I am really lucky
with the situation I've got.

-[engines roar]
-[laughs]

[Coleen] I'm forever grateful for that.

But at the end of the day, I'm still
the person that I always have been.

Me and Wayne are still just
a couple of kids from Liverpool.

We live in a lovely big house,
but I feel like we still do things.

-What are you laughing at?

I get invited to quite a lot
of red-carpet events,

but I don't tend to go to many.

I only go to the ones
that there's meaning behind it.

And the jungle was really important to me.

But yeah,
it's black tie so in your finery.

Yeah, I've got a black dress.
I brought two just in case.

I was looking back at our Instagrams
before, 'cause I always have a look back

and think how do I think
you look the best,

and it was all the videos from
when you came out of the jungle.

-You know, when we did all the TV shows.
-[chuckling]

It was just so amazing how, you know...

how well you carried yourself.

I think they got to see a bit more of me.

It gave me a bit more
confidence back again

'cause I hadn't really
done much before that

and that was a massive thing for me to do.

[Cassie] Yeah.

And obviously, there's no restrictions
because I don't know what's going out.

So, I think for people going in there,
your true colours do show.

Are you happy with how you came across?
Would you have done anything differently?

I think I'm more pleased
with the things I didn't do.

There was moments

Certain things that I would get,

But then I'd think,
"No" because that's not...

you so much because you were just you.

I think people saw her for the mum she is,

the wife she is, and how caring she was,

how honest she was, and I think that
the public really relate to-to Coleen.

So, when my mum come in,
and that was near the end,

I did say, "Have I come across
dead boring?" [chuckles]

And she was like, "No, no."
She wasn't very convincing.

I said, "You've been far from boring.
You've been yourself."

I said, you know, "You be proud of that."

my thing, that I've done it on my own.

are that they are voted for

in myself, and understanding
why people are interested in me,

which I've always found that
hard to get my head around.

But everyone behind the scenes

when I look around it's everyone I know.

What represents me
and the brand is being real.

One thing that comes up regularly when
I'm speaking to friends was bloating.

It's not something we always
talk about with each other.

But it can affect how you feel
and knock your confidence.

So, when everyone started arriving
at the house, that did throw him a bit.

we're gonna go to the pub in one van."

Little does he know it's closed down.

I knew she'd done something, because I was
having a drink, and then looked outside...

[Wayne] At first, I thought,
"She's invited some celebrity."

And then I realised that we were going
somewhere, and I hate helicopters.

[Danielle] Wayne's 40th birthday...

they were like two teenagers in love.

[singing indistinctly]

It's in those moments where you think,
"That's why they're together."

-I'm 40 years of age.

[Colette] Wayne said it himself.

You should have taken me to
a f*cking jazz bar or something.

[Colette] He wouldn't be where he is today
if it wasn't for Coleen.

So it's vice versa.

They're both there for each other.

[Coleen] The whole weekend,
everyone was just relaxed

and happy and just enjoying it,
which is just what I wanted.

[Wayne] It was brilliant, and...

All of us have got kids who went,
and none of us had kids with us.

So for three days,

we just all switched off
and, together, had a good time.

She done really well.

Probably more than I expected for my 40th.

[producer] Did Coleen have a good time?

Um... what happened?

[Coleen] On the last day,
I was dressed as Dolly Parton.

I had some fake boobs in,
so I was a bit top-heavy.

And I literally just went over on my heel.

And then, the next morning,
it was just swollen and black.

And I have done my fifth metatarsal.

[♪ "Burn It Down" plays]

The doctor did say,
"Try and keep off it for two weeks."

With four kids, it's not easy.

[producer] You've got the photo sh**t,
the Primark photo sh**t with it, right?

-So, like... You know, a bit worried...
-Yeah.

You can't have a broken foot in the shot,
can you?

[groans] My zip's gone, on my skirt.

It's December.

And the day has finally come.

It's the big photo sh**t for Primark.

[photographer] That's perfect. Stay there.

However, I have a broken foot.

-It's Christmas!

[producer] What's the best thing about
Christmas in the Rooney household?

-Heard something sliding down the chimney.

-Matching pyjamas?

Nah. She gets bad pyjamas though.

[Coleen] I love Christmas.
I love our Christmas spirit.

-But it can get mad at times.

So, this year, we're going to Barbados,

which we are really excited about.
