My home that I love
is changing a little bit now
with the relationship,
and it's doing its job.
As soon as you're up
out of the bag, you know,
there's, like, a race to go
back into the sleeping bag.
I can't help but think,
like, at this stage,
we're getting to the end.
And as each day goes by,
like, the possibility
of actually winning this,
yeah, starts to become
more and more real.

looking historically
at the other seasons,
I could have actually won by now.
And, yeah, you start
to fantasise about that
and think about, like,
what does that mean?
And the idea of having
an Australian to come
to the Arctic and to win
the world championship

like, what a statement.

and gives me
a lot of motivation to continue.
And every day that ticks by...

That possibility
becomes more and more real.
But, also, I try not to get
too carried away with it,
because there's still
a lot of work to be done
and it really can still be
a really long season.

I'm eating three full pots a day,
along with the liquid,
so I'm hydrated as well.

And I think that this phase
is actually
the most important one
for my personal growth.

third phase relatively late,
because otherwise
I would get insane.

want to be a guy like that,

in the shelter, but...
pretty much almost everybody
did it in the end.
I know that this guy
in Patagonia,
he was carving
a lot in the shelter.
Sam and Juan Pablo... they were
pretty much in the shelter
as much as possible.
That's a bit more easy
to start now.

It's really hard
keeping my mind occupied.
If I stop now, I can go back,
have my job,
and be back with my family.
If I decide not to stop
no matter what,
this can easily go
over day 120 and more.
Normally, these things last
around 80 days,
but maybe there
is another guy who says,

still proud of myself.
If I continue,
I would be missing Bor
for a very long time and
missing important milestones.

a substantial amount out here.

a lot of time to reflect.
I feel I need to take my time
with things,
especially decisions
that hold a lot of weight,
like friendship with Travis,
the separation with Melissa.
I feel we need to slow down,
step back, take a look.
Everything else is a distraction.
Not going to go
back to work right away.
I'm going to sit down
with Melissa.
We'll figure out our stuff.
That's what
we're going to focus on
with the same
but better mental strength.
87 days has given me
a fresh start.

this passion

has definitely changed me.
I really missed my family.
At home, I was really aiming
too much for my career.

more time with them
and watch them and listen to them
and be happy with them.

It feels amazing
that I'm representing
one very small country...
Slovenia.
No matter where
you're coming from,
if you really live for something,
go for your passion,
and not be scared
of doing things different
and keep on living it
no matter what.
$500,000 gives my family freedom,
money independence,
less stressful life.
Would definitely put part
of it to our survival school
to increase the things
we can share
with other people.

It feels very good
to be the first scientist
to win "Alone."
I was able to test my skills,
my knowledge
but, at the same time,
also learn a lot.
Leaving this place,
it's a bit bittersweet.
In these 90 days,
I found some kind of harmony
with nature.
I really felt not so much
like surviving
but rather
like living out in nature.

infinitive possibilities
and new ways and techniques
to discover,
and we should try to
understand it,
try to respect it,
and try to live with it.
