[intriguing music playing]

[phone vibrating]

Hey, Andy, what's up?

[Andy speaking]

Look out!

Whoo, baby, yeah!

[Jonathan]
That's not good.

It's been a struggle.

I'll do what I can do, buddy.

It's rally time.

[Monte speaking]

Are you [bleep] me?

Half a million dollar
load of crab and a tank

that's going to k*ll
those crab.

We're not gonna be able
to rest anymore.

Why is Jake turning right now?

Keith left his back door open,
and we're just about

to raid his kitchen.

Guys on deck,
we're gonna find out.

Ain't going to be no stopping.

[Sig] This is the end
of the bairdi season.

I mean, we've got to get
in for that offload.

So if this is what it takes
to get there, then so be it.

[indistinct exclamations]

[Jonathan] Watch out.

[cheering]

[Andy speaking]

Yeah.

We're not the kind
of guys that quit.

[narrator] 230 miles northeast
of Dutch Harbor.

[deckhand]
What is this?

Man!
Where's our crab at?

[Jake] I switched
from milk in my coffee

to whipping cream.

I'm liking it a lot better
than [bleep] pots.

On the eastern
bairdi crab grounds.

[Jake] This was the best fishing
that I had found so far.

And I've lost the scent
of the crab.

[deckhand]
Sucks!

And I'm starting
to get worried

'cause it's all gonna
affect me purchasing the Titan.

Aiming to make the switch
from hired g*n

to owner-operator
of the Titan Explorer,

Captain Jake Anderson sleuths
out his final 50,000 pounds

of crab before mandatory
offload in just 72 hours.

[deckhand] What have we got,
what have we got?

[groaning]

[deckhand #2]
No good!

I see Keith out there.
He's a little south of me.

I'm gonna give him a call.

Twelve miles south...

[OJ]
All right, here we go.

You got to be
right here somewhere.

Come on.

...aboard the Wizard.

[deckhand]
Yeah!

[deckhand #2]
Oh, man.

That's a good start.
Right on.

[Keith grunts]

[OJ] Oh, yeah.

All right.

[deckhands cheering]

[Keith] This little
vein of crab here

is as hot as it can get
for bairdi.

And...
[Keith sighs].

So far, no competition
right here.

[OJ]
All right, now we're fishing.

With $150,000 of bairdi crab
in his tanks and over 10 miles

from the nearest boat,
Captain Keith Colburn

races to harvest his remaining

before the fleet
catches the scent.

At north, the entire fleet
is just sitting there,

the lights on the horizon.

That's where we were.
Fishing where Sig is right now.

He's watching me.
He can tell that I'm hauling.

And he gets a hint of crab,
he throws every pot
he's got on it.

So we don't need Sig
right on top of us.

[OJ speaking]

[phone vibrating]

Jake, how you doing?

I'm getting my butt kicked
here a little bit.

I'm -- I'm just trying to find
a better place...

OK.
Uh...

[OJ speaking]

I don't know yet, just...

[Wizard crew cheering]

[Jake] Yeah.

[Keith speaking]

Your daddy, Sig,
he's like a bloodhound, man.

I have you beeline it
towards

the east, where I'm gonna set
a decoy string.

If I am comfortable that
I have my crab on board,

I'll let you clean out the rest
of my gear at the end

if you're not getting it, OK?

OK.

OK, later.

I've pulled a decoy set
a bunch of times.

I mean, like, some epic,
amazing decoy sets.

Keith's plan?

Lure Sig away from the Wizard's
crab-rich grounds

with 20 pots set
in a dead zone to the east.

He's trying to use my boat to
set Sig up just to keep Sig away

from his hotspot.

A ruse bolstered by a string
from his dear friend,

Jake Anderson.

[Jake] Which,
he's on good fishing.

I know that.

I've been watching
him go up and down,

up and down,
just like a cornfield.

He's getting fat while
everybody else is starved

on the streets.

Nine miles north.

We're getting towards
the end of our bairdi season,

and, you know, everybody
wants to go home.

You know, Clark obviously
wants to see his new baby.

Of course, I miss my wife
and my family.

On the Northwestern...

[Sig] However, right now,
we're seeing a little dip

in the fishing.

There's always the rumor mill,
and there's always that

grass is greener, that better
spot, and right now,

that's just right down below me.

I know...

that Keith is poking around,
and Jake as well.

I'll give him a shout here.

[phone ringing]

[indistinct]

You copy, Jake?

[Jake] Uh...yeah.

How's it going out there?

[Sig] Fishing, where
we're at now, up north is

kind of dropping off.

Not good.

[Sig speaking]

say anything?

[Jake speaking]

I mean, by the looks of it,
he's got that area

pretty well covered.

Well...

he's gonna leave.

Why would he leave,
and how do you know that?

He's trying to...

set a fake set to dupe you
into following him.

[Sig laughs]

Is he that paranoid?

[Jake speaking]

Well, if that's
the case, then...

Reverse this whole thing
so it backfires in his face.

All right.

[Sig] And I'll guarantee
you one thing.

He better be afraid.

[Jake laughs]

OK, bye.

[Jake] OK, later.

I'm very close with Keith.

And he pulled me out of
the water and saved my life.

But we're fishing now.

I'm gonna take that crab...

because he would do
the same to me.

What I do know is that if
a guy is so paranoid to try

to decoy me away from an area,
then the odds are

that's the place to go.

on the western
red king crab grounds.

We got big weather coming,

and we got offload date
looming down on us.

I got about three more days.

Aboard the Time Bandit.

[Jonathan] But it takes
two days to get back.

So we don't have time to dilly.

Or dally.

How do you like that
one, Heather?

Helming the last boat
fishing reds,

Captain Jonathan Hillstrand
must solve a complex equation.

from 80 pots in 72 hours.

With one variable.

A 220-mile-wide
low pressure system

heading straight
for the western grounds.

-All right, let's do it.
-[Freddy] Roger.

Whoo!

[tense music playing]

[Jonathan]
All we need is a 40 average.

Knock on wood, baby.

[cheering]

[Russell]
Come on, baby.

Come on, baby.

[Freddy] Whoo!

[deckhand] That's what
I'm talking about right there.

Whoo!
Yeah!

[Time Bandit crew cheering]

-Red gold, baby, red gold.
-It's coming home mama.

I'm going fast, mama.
I'm going fast, mama.

Going fast mama, going fast.

[Freddy] Whoo!

[Jonathan]
How many you get, Russ?

[Russell speaking]

Twenty-two.

I mean, it'll work,
but we need better.

I was hoping we'd get a few
more pounds on this string,

you know, a few more crabs,
but guess I gotta figure out

what to do.

[mechanical whirring]

[indistinct chatter among crew]

My main just died.
I think I lost --

-Neal!
-[deckhand] What the hell?

[Jonathan speaking]

Oh!

You there, Neal?

-[Jonathan] Neal?
-Yeah?

[Jonathan]
Port main just died.

On the Time Bandit...

I got it running now.

I need someone to come back
here and see if I got line

in the [bleep] wheel.
-[Russell] Copy.

I don't think I do.
[bleep], I don't know.

-Yes, you do.
-[Jonathan] OK, [bleep].

-[Russell] In a port.
-[Jonathan] OK, yeah,

let's get it.

[deckhand]
Yeah, roger.

Problem with line
in the wheel...

we could have
too much line in the wheel

for that propeller
to even work again.

Like a yo-yo can wrap it
right up, pull the line up.

So it might k*ll that motor.

And I got to go to Dutch.

...and ram rod it out.

[Freddy]
Roger, Roger.

[grunting]

Teddy, give me a hand
right here, give --

Give it to me.

Just ram rod it out,
forward and reverse.

[Freddy]
It's pretty tight, boss.

[mechanical grinding]

Pretty super tight, boss.
It's gonna break.

[Jonathan speaking]

I got to throw it
in reverse now.

Hold it in and turn it off.

[propeller whirring]

[deckhand speaking]

[Jonathan] Need someone
to hold it right there.

[deckhand speaking]

[Freddy grunting]

-Pull it in.
-Nice and slow, man.

Man...

Keep that [bleep]
on board, all right?

[Jonathan speaking]

We've just got to make sure
it's not too much line

in the wheel,
or else we could be KO'd.

[Neal] OK.

So Neal has this camera
he got from my dad.

So you can see the bottom.

-We can look at our props.
-Sea view.

It's gonna be a prop view.

We have to do
the port one, Neal.

[Neal] OK.

I can see it
on the screen already.

All right, let's do it.

OK.

I can see the rudder.

[Neal] OK.

OK.
Go -- go up.

Go up.
Tilt it upward.

[intriguing music playing]

There it is.
Stop right there.

Stop!
Right there.

Oh, yeah, there's
a [bleep] lot of line in it.

You got a [bleep] pile of line.

Bad, bad, bad.

You can see
I got a lot of line.

The shaft's usually this big.
It's this big now.

It's got all that line on it.
It's very bad.

My boat's down to
one and a half props.

So we're gonna be a real
slow boat, like a six-knot boat,

instead of an eight-knot boat.
So it's gonna slow us down.

-We're crippled.
-[deckhand] Coming up.

We're crippled,
but we're not out.

If we can roll
through this gear

and get another pick,
then I can get that offload.

It's got to keep going,
even if it's slow,

get as much as we can get done.

Get my a*s out of here
and go to town.

[deckhand] Come to papa!

[Jonathan]
We got a lot of pots to pull,

but the weather's
coming up, too.

[deckhand]
Set it back!

Just keep on going.
Keep on turning.

[Russell]
OK, going over.

[Keith] They're ready to get
their stack off the boat.

[deckhand]

this stack off the boat.

On the Wizard.

and the kids sitting in a spot

that's about seven miles
from where he's at now.

to come look.

Captain Keith commences
with Operation Decoy Set,

bedding 50 pots from the Wizard

set to the east of his gear,
will add up

to an irresistible draw to one
Captain Sig Hansen.

[tense music playing]

any of that.

to do anything about it.

ridiculous, because, Keith,

it's like you're leaving
your ducklings to protect them,
