A mother taking
photos in England

captures a ghostly face
behind her son.

It almost looks like

he's touching his shoulder.

Very, very disturbing.

And even more
paranormal footage
you have to see

to believe.

In a sleepy town
in northern England

stands an
ordinary-looking house

with a sinister history.

Legend has it

that 30 East Drive
in Pontefract

is where a black monk
was hanged

for the m*rder

of a young girl.

Since then,

residents of the house have
described living alongside
of violent poltergeist

and reported strange noises,

mysterious puddles of water,

and even an apparition

of a dark hooded figure

who some believe

is this spirit

of the black monk.

Recently,

a woman from Manchester

went looking for it...

in Pontefract, England,

Aimee Skachill and a team
of paranormal investigators

are staking out

at the infamous 30 East Drive.

So we're here
during the day,

but the atmosphere...

...is unbelievable.

Hi, I'm Aimee,
and this is my video.

This place has got
a very big reputation

for paranormal activity.

What a place this is.

There's loads of crazy stories
about the place.

So we just wanted to
experience that for ourselves

and see whether it is
as haunted as what people

make it out to be.

I've been there.

I stayed in that location
for five days.

It has probably been
one of the places

that have terrified me
to my core.

Some of the phenomena reported
at 30 East Drive

include furniture
being overturned,

pictures slashed,

things levitating,

and then we have reports of

phantom breathing
against the necks

of some of the children
that have lived there.

Oh. Oh.

I feel like I'm being watched.

The main culprit who haunts
the property

is called the black monk.

A young girl
was m*rder*d

and the man who did it,
a monk,

was hanged in this spot.

So, there's
the monk's presence

most people think that's here.

His angry spirit,
he's aggressive
he's haunting the space.

But it's this double tragedy
that's built

where a young girl
lost her life as well.

In hopes
of capturing evidence
of the black monk,

Aimee and her colleagues
are using an array
of equipment

including EMF meters,

Rem pods,

and several stationary cameras

placed throughout the house.

This is the cameras
that are all set up
in the rooms.

And right from
the start...

What the hell?

...a presence
is palpable.

Oh, my leg.

We were at
the top of the stairs.

I heard something.

I felt like I was touched,

which really made me jump.

And exactly the same time,
the Rem pod

at the bottom of the stairs
alarmed up.

It actually scared me,
it really made me jump.

The strange
activity continues
throughout the evening.

All right,
come on then.

We know you're here,
tell us your name.

But while terrifying,

it's not until after
the investigation,

when reviewing footage
of herself practicing
a technique called scrying

that Aimee discovers something

that truly stuns her.

Scrying is the practice
of either divination

or some form of far-seeing
using a mirror.

You essentially
are separating

your mind from
your physical being.

While focusing on
your reflection,

you start to see
layers of another individual

as it enters your body
or being.

You're just looking directly
into the mirror

and you're focusing
on your own reflection.

Watch closely

as Amy begins the process.

Did you catch that?

As one of
the stationary cameras

captures Aimee's face
in the mirror

suddenly distorting.

I was like,
"Oh, my Lord, what is that?"

I couldn't believe
what I was seeing.

Couldn't get my head
around it.

And I watched it
over and over.

This was like straight out
of a horror film,

except there's no special
effects going on.

The face just distorts
into something that seems
very unnatural.

The mouth becomes
extremely large.

It appears like her
face becomes this maw

that is impossible for her
jaw to actually do

and it's only for
a split-second.

You can see
her reaction,

she kind of gasps,
she's taken aback.

The person next to her

is kind of wondering
what's happening.

And you have to wonder what
exactly was happening there.

Was it something that
was affecting her physically
in her being?

Or something that
was almost mimicking
her reflection

back at her?

There seems to be some
entry point for spirits

to use mirrors to kind of

either reveal themselves
or to kind of come forth.

So, it never seems to shock me
when you start to see
some of these things.

If it was in fact
an entity,

black monk or otherwise,

revealing itself
through Aimee...

Oh, my leg..

She, for one,
is unsure of where
it came from

and what exactly it wants.

I still cannot pinpoint

who or what caused it.

My head kept tumbling
backwards as if my head was

too heavy at the back

and I couldn't hold
my head straight.

So, it just makes me think
it was somebody trying to push

how they felt on me

for them to show through me.

It makes you question

what you know when
you are investigating.

You do need to be extremely
careful what you are doing.

Excellent advice.

And though Aimee has no plans
to stop investigating,

she does have a new limit.

If someone said to me now,
"Would you wanna fancy
going back tomorrow?"

I'd say, "Yeah, but I'm not
looking in that mirror."

Witnessing
paranormal phenomena

a mind blowing experience...

the first time.

But when it happens
to you again

accustomed to it.

And maybe,

even attached.

That's what's happening
to Jay Brown,

a security guard

who has regularly come
face to face with
a ghostly entity...

And I'm looking
dead at it.

...who can't seem
to get enough of him.

And I'm like,
"Oh, no, no, uh-uh."

We first met
Jay Brown in season one

when during his night shift
as a security guard

at a senior living facility
in Chicago,

he notices a misty,
amorphous entity

floating around his desk.

I'm looking dead at it.

And though Jay can
see it with his own eyes...

I guess it can...
I waved at it. Like, you know.

He also confirms
what he saw

by playing the security
video back

and narrating while
recording it with his phone.

I guess it's too cold
outside and he was like,
"it."

And incredibly,

ever since that
first encounter,

it has reappeared
on the regular.

Like on this night
in November, 2018,

as again,

Jay plays back
this new encounter
on the security video

and narrates...

The storm is so bad,

that ghost had to go upstairs.

Look at the bottom right.

Look.

There he go.

Look at that.

My name is Jay Brown.

I work at a senior
citizen building.

I do security there.

It's like a light
foggy mist-like thing

the size of, like,
a basketball.

It's always around
the three to four o'clock
in the morning time.

It is mostly when I'm alone.

We see something.

It's kind of like a blob.

And at one point, it almost
seems to be walking

or moving or having limbs.

Anytime you
are investigating,

if you see it with your eyes,

that's excellent.

If you catch something
on camera,

that's dope.

If you get them both...

you have hit
the paranormal jackpot.

More often than not,

we don't see these
things until later

when somebody points it
out to us

or we see something
is out of place.

Look, there he go.

That puts Jay
in a different category.

He's aware.

And not just aware,

but also eager to make
actual physical contact.

It was cold,
I'm like, "Ah, it."

I really, I wanted
to follow it.

He doesn't seem to
be reacting out of fear.

Like, he's holding it together
quite nicely,

which makes me think
maybe he doesn't feel

threatened by said entity.

Like, "Yo, look,

I ain't gonna cause
no trouble with you

if you don't cause
no trouble with me."

It feels... see,
I'm trying to feel, like,

follow the cold breeze.
I saw it...

going towards the elevator.

It's like a few seconds
of, like, having,

like, a air conditioner on.

It's very common
when you come across
a haunting like this

to have the room
change temperatures,

like, in a second.

So, yes, it's very common
for people to feel

cold spells and cold spots
when there's paranormal
activity around.

It happens again
in April 2019.

But on this night,

the mist takes a slightly
different form.

This time it was dark.

Literally, a dark one.

Watch the bottom
right of the screen closely.

Right there. See it?

A dark
nebulous mist

floats toward Jay.

It's going up.

See it? And I'm looking
dead at it.

And I'm like, "Oh, no.

No. Uh-uh."

There it goes over that...
By the exit sign.

And I'm like, "Wow."

Then it just vanished above
my head.

So, what exactly
is this thing?

And what is its connection

to this particular location?

The fact that Jay's
a security guard

at an elderly facility,

they are going to have
a higher percentages of death.

And if they're in this
location where they're
there to kind of

take that last breath,

I think you're going to
have a lot of

experiences that would be
deemed paranormal.

A thought that
doesn't sit well with Jay.

I do feel kind of sad,
you know.

This is a person
still wandering around,

not at rest.

Or perhaps
it's something
a little less sad

and more helpful.

There are stories that

as someone is ready to
shuffle off their mortal coil,

they actually receive
messengers or guides

that help them cross over.

Whatever it is,

Jay has gotten
used to its visits

and looks forward to more
in the future.

Well, when I first,
first saw it, I was terrified.

But throughout numerous times,

I just don't feel

pretty much scared at all.

He's a great
example of, like,

just accepting the spirit
world around you

and coexisting with it,
which I think

is a lesson that all of us
can learn from Jay.

I was filming alone.

I went to go get

turned the light off,
came back, just did my thing,

didn't notice anything
out of the ordinary.

When Marissa
finishes the video,

it goes to her sister, Shauna,
to edit.

And that's when
something strange happens.

A few days later,
my sister called me over

and she was like,

"Have you looked
at this footage?"

And I was like,
"No, I haven't."

as moments after she leaves

and turns off the lights,

the camera's weight
begins to pull it down.

As the camera pans down
on its own,

what appears to be a tiny hand

suddenly disappears
under the bed.

I was so worried.
I was shocked. I was like,

"What is this?"

It looks like a creepy
little hand under the bed

that she almost did not
capture on camera,

which makes me wonder,

"How long has it been there

that she has not noticed it?"

To me, it doesn't look
like a living hand

or even a ghost hand.

It looks like a doll's hand

or the hand of a toy
or a puppet.

It just makes it even kind of
creepier when you think

that there might be
some haunted

puppet living underneath
your bed.

And almost as if
whatever is under there

senses this,

senses the gaze,
senses the observation,

it goes, "Oh, I don't
want to be seen."

hoping to get some answers.

It got such
an overwhelming response.

People speculating,

"It's a doll."

"It's a dog paw."
"It's a cat paw."

I do have cats, but there's
no way... I mean,

that's like a very
small drawer

beneath my bed.

So, there was no way they
could have gotten

into that drawer
by themselves.

I really had no idea.
I still, to this day,

I'm... I can't say
what it was for sure.

I never found anything that
resembled what that
could have been.

It looked like she
had a lot of toys
and stuffed animals.

So I'm wondering if there
was a type of entity

in her room that almost
took on the appearance

based on what was in her room,

almost like how
an AI generated image would.

It was looking around
her room like,

"Okay, what is a form I can
take that she might accept?"

And it took that form.

Marissa may not
know what the hand-like
form is

or where it comes from,

but she believes it to be
paranormal in nature.

Because in the months
after she captures
the mysterious footage,

she starts to experience
strange events

that begin to take their toll.

You can kind of see
in my videos
I'm getting sick,

I'm not sleeping,

I was having nightmares.

I haven't slept in, like,
probably four days.

I keep waking up.
I either wake up at 3:00 a.m.

or I just don't go
to sleep at all.

At all.

And the damage
isn't just emotional.

Out of nowhere,
you know, a huge red scratch

just appeared down my neck.

As if by magic.

I would wake up with
these things.

When you get a big
black bruise,

a welt on you,

you remember hitting yourself,
bumping yourself,

running into something,
banging it somewhere.

And that just didn't happen.

That was probably
the scariest part.

Often times when you
are dealing with something
that's negative,

they're trying to hurt you
and you'll wake up

with scratches

or have a bruise that you
don't remember how
that got there.

But Marissa
does think she knows

why she's being attacked.

I think making videos about it
also kind of made it progress

a little bit, like, I think it
kind of maybe antagonized

the spirit.

It's a small encounter
like that,

a fleeting little hand
under the bed,

that is used to capture
the interest of the person

experiencing the phenomena

to give more energy
and time to that entity,

so it can feed into
bigger haunts.

This is something that
gets documented
over and over again.

It's the reality behind
the theory

that perhaps some poltergeist
activity is actually generated

by a young person living
in a space,

that it's their
own unintentional
psychokinetic energy

that's making noise
and causing things
to move around.

It is documented
throughout history

that hauntings tend to zero in

on young people,
especially young women.

Mercifully,

whatever was tormenting
Marissa stopped

when she moved out
of the home.

But the memory serves
as a sobering reminder

that the monster under
your bed

is not just in
your imagination.

I feel like removing
myself from that house
was a good thing.

You don't know when
it's going to stop,

if it's going to stop,
when it's going to
happen again.

So it definitely kind of
made a believer out of me.

Just ask a doctor in Mexico

who experienced
something unimaginable

right outside his front door.

December 2018,

Neza, Mexico,

Dr. Jaime Lule
and his daughter, Karina,

are on the street
in front of their house

and have just witnessed
something very unsettling.

Once safely back inside,
Dr. Lule

reviews the footage from
the CCTV camera,

trying to figure out

what exactly they just saw.

Watch closely.

It's a shiny object

floating along the street.

And it appears to be morphing

and sprouting limbs.

...and this is my video.

But perhaps
what is most remarkable
about the object

is not what was captured
on camera,

but rather what the doctor
and his daughter

saw with their own eyes

while down on the street.

It's at this point

that the doctor's daughter
runs away.

And though the doctor stands
his ground for a few
more seconds,

he too finally runs for cover.

As if that weren't enough,

not long after they run away
from it,

a nearby transformer

suddenly...

...blows.

So, what did
Dr. Lule and his daughter

just witness?

This is really one
of those, like,

insanely interesting clips.

Because right now, I'm like,
"Oh, is it a human-like thing?

Is it a robot? Is it a...

Is it an alien?"

At first glance,
I thought that this
was probably just

a bunch of mylar balloons
perhaps inflated with helium
that was dissipating.

But then, it starts to
move down the street.

There's an oddness
about its motion.

It's shimmying
or almost dancing.

It doesn't behave the way

a bunch of balloons would.

Balloons also

wouldn't become transparent,

morph into the shape
of a person

and head back towards them.

Shape-shifters,
they are known on

a lot of different paranormal
categories, from ghosts

to skin-walkers to aliens.

The cases we know about
that seemed to be genuine

where something like
this happens,

it seems to be very powerful,
usually intelligent,

sometimes otherworldly.

The common thread
through all of that

is whoever witnesses it
is absolutely terrified.

Whatever this anomalous
sort of light-generating
object is,

this isn't the first time
it's made an appearance.

We saw another video from
the other side of the world

in Turkey once

where something very similar
to this was

floating down the street,
about the same height,

and about the same amount
of motion that this thing has.

It stops, it starts,
it has a shadow under it

just like this one does.

And it moves forward with
a real sense of purpose

just like this one does.

I feel like we have found

the silver floating
street-walking alien brethren.

For his part,

Dr. Lule believes it could
most certainly

be from another world.

Regardless,

he has no desire

to ever see it again

for one very good reason.

These days,

front door security cameras

are ubiquitous.

Many homeowners appreciate
the sense of safety they get

from being able to
monitor activity

around their house.

Although,
there are times

when these devices can
leave us with more questions

than answers.

Take it from one man
in England,

who was happy keeping
an eye on the neighborhood

until he suddenly discovered

some otherworldly beings

keeping their eyes

on us.

October 2021,

in Hertfordshire, England,

it's around 8:00 p.m.

and Matt Doughty is at home

watching TV with
his friend, Kevin,

when he gets an alert
from his doorbell camera.

Matt checks the footage
expecting to see a cat

or a neighbor walking by.

But instead,

he sees
something inexplicable.

A triangular formation
of bright, twinkling lights

is moving across the sky.

My name's Matt Doughty

and this is my video.

I rolled back the footage

and then thought, "Well,
what do we got here?

This is really quite strange."

It was deadly silent,
not a single sound

picked up at all
by the camera.

Just these three lights
appearing over the house
opposite me

and then coming from
right to left.

Matt rushes outside
to get a better look,

but the lights have
already disappeared.

I thought, "Whoa,
this is really strange."

So, I called my dad.

My dad's an aviation
plane freak.

He loves his planes.

Dad was completely
shocked by it as well.

Dad looked at his
flight trackers

and relooked at his
flight trackers

and said,

"Yeah, there was definitely
nothing flying over."

There is a lot of
programs out now

that use what's called
ADSB tracking.

This is sort of a transponder
that aircraft

in nearly every airspace
is required to have.

It'll give you all that data
as to what aircraft it is,

how high is it,
where is it going?

Even military missions have
to broadcast that information

because it's important
for aviation safety.

So, it's really unusual

that when they look up
the information for these
supposed aircraft,

there's nothing available.

I could feel
the hair stand up on my arms.

I was like, "Wow, what
could this have been?"

Good question.

This clip is evocative
of a very classic sighting

of either three objects
or a singular triangular craft

moving through the sky.

So, it does have

a lot of precedence
within ufology.

To me, it definitely
look like three objects
flying in formation,

but they work connected.

Some kind of way.

It's weird. I don't think that
our human brains can even

come close to trying to grasp

the knowledge of these
extraterrestrial beings.

Every time I see these lights
and they seem to be

in the form of a triangle,

I always get this sense that
we're looking at one craft.

We see those lights not
really move,

they kind of stay
in their formation,

they're solid.

So, I think this is one craft.

But if this craft

or formation of crafts

is extraterrestrial
in origin,

why are they hovering

over a London suburb?

Maybe it's not concerned with
what us puny humans
think of it.

Or maybe it's trying to
get us to see it.

Maybe it wants us to

become familiar with
these kinds of sightings

as a way of making it easier
to introduce itself to us.

I feel like they're
here to observe
or to send information.

I have spoken with contactees

that have had interactions

with extraterrestrials
and UFOs

that state that the lights
are a communication tool

and supposedly it creates
a download

into the contactee's psyche

that projects a message
towards them.

When you're viewing these
lights through an IR camera,

you're missing
the frequencies,

you're missing the colors,

you're missing the pulsating
effects that

put thoughts and information
into your mind.

As far as he knows,

Matt did not receive
an information download.

But he was affected

by the experience.

The experience to me
is something that

I never really gave a lot
of thought to

prior to this occurrence.

But since it's happened,

it's made me think that, uh...

"Hey, there could be extra
life form out there,

and it could be looking at us

and looking and seeing
what we do."

So, it certainly makes me
keep one eye open now

to see what's up there

and potentially circling
above our heads.

images of departed souls

through something
called spirit photography

where photographers would
take pictures of the living,

sometimes with their
recently deceased relatives

in the hopes
of revealing proof

of life after death.

The practice continues
to this day.

But with cameras so ubiquitous

and photos so freely taken,

ghosts are often captured
by chance

without the photographer
even knowing.

Just ask a woman in England

who took a picture
of her family

and may have ended up

with an image of a lost soul.

May 2018,
at Plessey Woods Country Park

in Northumberland, England,

a woman named Sophie

who wishes to remain anonymous

is enjoying a nice day outside
with her extended family

and uses her phone

to take some photos
of her two children

and their cousin
playing in a tree.

When she reviews
the pictures later,

she notices something

that makes your blood
run cold.

There's another child
in the tree

behind her 9-year-old son

who wasn't there

when she took the photo.

Hello, my name is Sophie

and I took this photo.

It's really eerie when
you look at the photo.

There is without a question
another child

standing behind this
mother's son.

The really creepy part is that
it's looking directly at him

and we can see it has
extended a hand

and laid it on his shoulder.

We see a portion
of this child's face,

they're standing
in the background,
they look pale,

they look drawn,

they look a tiny bit menacing.

It's rare to have this
level of clarity

in a photo like this.

Haunted by
the image,

Sophie posts it on
social media

in hopes of finding
an explanation.

And sure enough...

If you really research
spiritual attachment,

one thing that many experts
will say

is there is a belief
that spirits like to attach

basically right at the back
of the head.

That's something that's been
documented for years and years
and years.

It goes back in
all the old literature.

Could that be what's
happening at that moment?

The look on its face,

the location right behind
the head,

I would be
concerned that there
was a physical attachment

at that exact second.

Or maybe

it's something a little
more innocent.

It looks like we might have
captured the spirit
of a young person

who possibly wanted to get in
on some of the fun.

If so,

it certainly wouldn't be
the first time.

Throughout history,
there have actually been

a lot of photos that
captured something

very similar to this one.

For example,
the Goddard Squadron,

which was captured in 1919.

And in it you see a face that
looks like Freddy Jackson's.

But he had actually died
before this photo
was even taken.

Why are there
so many instances

where there appears to be

a peek-a-boo ghost making
themselves known
in group photos?

Maybe the ghost is taking
a spectral selfie

as a way to say,

"Hey, remember me as well.

I once was here."

Whatever
the reason,

it's given Sophie
a new outlook

on the afterlife.

What should you do
in the event you witness
something paranormal?

Here are some tips
to get it all on camera.

Check your footage,

and then,

check it again.

Trust that what
you're seeing...

It's going up. See it?
