It's time for Operation Happy Mommies.

The day, Mother's Day. The mission,

to surprise each of our moms and make them feel special

For my mommy and grandma, we're gonna prepare a fancy

Mother's Day feast. Mmm!

- For my stepmom, Jozi, we're gonna clean up my whole house.

She's gonna love it.

- For my mom and mama, we're gonna find seashells

and make a fin-tastic mural.

- And for my mom, we're gonna dance to a song

written by yours truly.

So I hope you remember your funky, fresh dance moves.

- You know it.

- Sure do. - Uh-huh.

- Look at that form.

[squeals] I can't wait to show my mom.

- Whoa, whoa, wait, that's your mom?

But she's a mantra ray, and you're a pilot fish.

- Well, I'm adopted. I had a pilot fishy birth mom,

but then my manta mom took me home.

- So why are you dancing for her

if she's not your pilot fish mom?

- Well, I...um...um...

- Sorry, Shadow, no time to chat.

We've got an important mission.

- Whatever.

- Are you okay, William?

- Oh, yeah. It's just--it can be hard

having a family that doesn't look like everyfishy else's.

in the Mother's Day spirit.

- Happy Mother's Day. Welcome to Chez Shark.

- We made the Shark kitchen

into a fancy restaurant just for you.

- Oh, this looks fin-incredible.

- Your table awaits.

[elegant music]

- This is the best Mother's Day ever.

- Oh, this is prime scrapbook material.

- Wow, look at those matching Shark smiles.

You all look perfect.

- Say, don't do squiddos have another surprise to get to?

It's almost time for Hank's surprise.

We'd better hurry.

- They all look so alike.

Is this how families are supposed to look?

Our goal is to clean this whole house

before my stepmom gets home.

- Did you fishies hear something?

- Oh, no, they're awake.

- Who's awake?

- Ashley and Splashley, my stepsisters.

[laughter]

- They're undoing all of our cleanings.

- I'll distract them. You fishies keep cleaning.

[clears throat]

Ashley! Splashley!

Who's ready to play hide-and-hunt?

both: Me! Me!

- [gasps] Hurry. She's almost here.

[upbeat music]

all: Surprise!

- [gasps] What in the seven seas?

- We cleaned the whole house just for you.

- By Beluga, it's beautiful.

Oh, and so is that.

[laughter]

- Ashley and Splashley

are playing with their big stepbrother.

all: Happy Mother's Day.

- My heart can't take it, it's so sweet.

For a stepmom, there's no better Mother's Day gift

than seeing your squiddos

and step-squiddo getting along.

- Huh, Hank has a stepmom and stepsisters.

His family is different too. I guess I don't know

what families are supposed to look like.

- That's two surprises down. Next up, Vola's house.

Agent William, you coming?

- Oh, yeah. Let's go, Agent Baby.

[dramatic music]

- I need seashells for my mural.

And lots of them. Let's go, agents.

- Now that's a lot of shells.

But what should my mural look like?

Hmm. Wait, I've got an inkling.

[upbeat music]

all: Ooh! Wow!

- I like art.

- Mom, Mama, come on out.

- Vola? W-What are you...

- Surprise. Happy Mom/Mama Day.

- It's us. Vola, this is fin-credible.

- Well, she's an artist, just like her mama.

- And crafty, just like her mom.

all: Octo-hug. both: Gotcha.

- Mom, Mama.

all: Aww.

- Wow. Vola has two moms.

Her family doesn't look like Baby's or Hank's.

Agent Baby, do you mind if I take a minute?

I think I need to go for a swim.

- Of course, Agent William.

Just let us know when it's time for your surprise.

- Will do.

[somber music]

- Ohh.

- Hey, Mom.

- What's on your mind, Angelfishy?.

- Well, I've been thinking, I notice that our family

doesn't look like everyfishy else's.

- You mean because I'm a manta ray and you're a pilot fish?

- Yeah. I mean, have you ever noticed

how Baby's family all have matching shark smiles?

- I have.

- I think I was worried about how different our family

looks from Baby's,

but then I noticed that Hank's family looks different too.

And so does Vola's.

- That's a great thing to notice.

All families are different;

that makes them unique and special.

It's something to celebrate.

Because we may not have matching shark smiles,

but you know what we've got?

- The manta family Whirlpool Swirl!

[laughter]

It's our big, big love that brought us together, William.

It doesn't matter what we look like.

All that matters is that I'm your mom and you're my son.

- Just yesterday a fishy said I was the best bubbaloon artist

she's ever met. Yeah, moms are the best.

[seesaw squeaking] both: Huh?

- [sighs]

- Hey who's that lonely fishy. Excuse me.

- Baby, what are you doing?

That's Penny Piranha. She bites.

- Really? Her? - It's true.

I once saw her bite the tail off a piñata.

But it was full of treats, so it had it coming.

- Well, she looks harmless to me.

- Excuse me, you wanna come make bubbaloon animals?

- Me? You want me to play with you?

- Oh, yes. That would be fin-tastic.

- Great. I'm Baby Shark,

and this is my best bud, William.

- That's right. - I'm Penny.

Pleased to meet you.

- Let's start with a bubbaloon seed dragon.

All you have to do is pinch, loop, and twist.

Voila. both: Ooh.

[grunting]

Whoo-hoo! Heh-heh.

- [grunting]

[bubbaloon pops]

- Oh, no. I think she's gonna blow.

- Ahhhh!

- Splish-splash, I'm sad.

- Whee! - Whoo!

- Yahoo!

- [chomps]

Well, that's not how you make bubbaloon animals.

- Oh, no.

- [sighs]

- Whoa.

Penny turned The Wreck into a wreck.

- I'm sorry, Baby. Are you okay?

- My fin is okay, but my heart's a little broken.

I thought you wanted to be friends.

- I do. I just have these feelings inside me.

I don't know any other way to show how I feel, so I bite.

I know it's not a nice way to act.

- Hmm...feelings? Acting?

[gasps]

I know a fishy that knows everything

about those two things.

both: Goldie!

- Oh, yeah. I bet she could help you find a way to show

how you feel without biting.

- Really? - Sure.

Goldie has so many feelings, like all of them.

- ♪ Ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh, ahh-ahh-ahh ♪

♪ Ahhhh ♪

[together] Wow! Brava, Big Fin.

- Brava, Big Fin. Same time next week?

- You know it.

- Wasn't Big Finn divine?

To think he couldn't growl above a C sharp

when he started.

- You're an fin-credible teacher, Goldie.

Speaking of, this is Penny, and she has a problem.

- Sometimes I get this weird feeling inside of me.

And then I bite.

- But you are positively bite-sized.

You couldn't hurt a fly-fish. Ooh.

- Ahh!

Don't call me bite-sized.

I'm plenty big.

[both gasp]

- Oh, no. I did it again. I'm sorry.

- Worry not. 'Tis but a fake prop fin.

Baby, William, you were right to seek my expertise.

Darling, you just need to learn

to express yourself in a new way.

- Express myself?

- Yes, to say how you feel. Fret not.

I'll teach you the three steps you need to do to stop biting.

It'll be my greatest role yet.

- Three steps? - Yes.

When you feel like you have to bite, do these three steps.

First, count to three.

Second, figure out how you feel.

And third, use your words.

- Do you really think three steps can help me stop biting?

- Absolutely. When we are done, the only thing you'll wanna

take a bite out of will be the Big Squidapple.

Behold the first step, counting to three.

Calming down when you're upset is difficult for anyfishy.

But counting to three can help.

- But what should I count?

- You can count coral trees or coral bushes.

You can even count all the times I say "coral."

- How about chum-yums? One, two, three.

- Or look, teeny-tiny sand crabs.

One, two, three.

- Ooh. How about a family?

One, two, three.

- Great work, Penny.

Let's celebrate with a sweet treat.

all: Yeah.

- Ice cream? I like the way you teach.

- What can I get for you?

- William and I will have our usual, please.

- One Swimsational Sundae coming up.

- Thanks.

- And what would you like?

- I'll have the Tsunami Sorbet, please.

- Oh, shucks. We just ran out of that flavor.

- But I want Tsunami Sorber now!

[all gasp]

- I want to bite something. - [gulps]

- You do? Oh, that's fantastic, darling.

We can practice the steps. Count to three.

- One, two, three. - It's working.

Now try step number two, figuring out how you feel.

Which one of these emotions are you feeling?

- That's it. That's how I feel.

- Aha. You are angry. You are frustrated.

They didn't have your ice cream,

and that upset you.

- Yeah. I'm angry. Counting to three

made me stop shaking, but I still want to bite!

- Just another prop.

- [sighs] I'm sorry, Goldie. I'm not getting better.

- Oh, but you are.

- Yeah. You counted to three

and figured out what you were feeling.

- Now we can move on to the last step

using your words to express how you feel.

No teeth involved.

- Using my words? But how?

- Darling, I thought you'd never ask.

I'll count my new friends.

Wow. I'm not shaking anymore.

Now, step two, figure out how I'm feeling.

[clock ticking]

[gasps] I got it. I know what I'm feeling.

I'm frustrated and angry.

All that's left is step three, using my words.

- Whoa.

- That was jaw-some.

- Phew. I feel way better, all because I used my words.

- Oh, yes. Wonderful. Oh, I'm so proud.

so I won't feel so frustrated.

- Of course.

Just cross it here, loop it there,

and...

- Ta-da!

I made a bubbaloon animal, and I didn't even bite.

Whoo-hoo!
