For this challenge, you will be
creating a red-carpet look for a
Very special client, and that
client is someone who has a good
Deal of empathy for what it is
that you're experiencing now on
Project runway.
And this isn't just any
red-carpet look.
This is a red-carpet look for
the emmys.
It's a big deal--a very big
deal.
The color of the lexus gs
vehicle that you're assigned to
Must be incorporated into the
look that you design.
You will have $300 and one day
to complete your look.
I am delighted to introduce you

gorgeous cars.

It's great to see all of you.
The all-new gs is really the
first step in a complete
Transformation for the lexus
brand, so while lexus is now
Making a very bold statement
with its new products, we feel
Like it's now your opportunity
to do the same thing on the
Runway.
The lexus gs is going to
take you to meet your very
Special client.
You will have 30 minutes to
consult and to sketch, and then
I'm going to be meeting you at
mood.
For this challenge, you will be
working in teams of two to
Create one red-carpet emmy look.
I don't like to work with
anyone, and--and--and who does?
In order to determine our
teams of two, I'm going to be
Giving each of you a key to one
of these cars, so there are two

Opinion, so it's not just alicia
and I designing this dress.
There's this other girl.
The thing that she
specifically said, she does not
Want fitted.

She wants a full skirt and

Our client is kenley from season
five.
She has a strong point of view.
She's very outspoken.
So it's not that.
It's more like that.
You have more of a vision of
the front, just like I have more
Of a vision of the back.
We just have to make sure they
connect in the right places.

can look daytime.

I mean, it's a perfectly nice

For the lexus challenge, we
really wanted to think about
Clean lines, modern, bold,
sophisticated luxury, so in the
Workroom, I created the skirt,
fabio created the bodice.
And this is, um, a silk gazar
facing and a silk taffeta
Lining, so it's--
yes, we lined it in silk
Taffeta.
I think you guys did a
fabulous job.

It does look very expensive.
It does not look slapped
together.
And you could go to the emmys.
How do you like your look?
I love it. They listened to
everything I said.

and they made something

I love the color.

What I love most about this
dress is that you chose to do it

not my comfort zone at all, so I
Have to listen to gunnar really

It's got, like, a nice mix of
elegant and sophisticated, you

skills could definitely be

Personally, I think it's a
beautiful dress.
