♪ Hang around for Scooby Doo ♪♪

[Shaggy] That's my pal.

Scooby Dooby Doo!

[instrumental music]

Hurry up, Pedro, it's almost time

for the ghost of General Juan Carlos to appear.

I...I think we better go home, Diego.

Don't be scared, amigo.

If the ghost appears, I will protect you, I..

[evil laughter]

Aye, aye, aye!

Aye! It's the ghost. Run!

This vacation will be terrific!

I've always wanted to see Puerto Rico.

Well, here it is, Daphne.

kaboom

Hey, was that thunder?

Like, maybe it was a 21-g*n salute

for our arrival here.

- Twenty-one g*ns? - All at once, huh?

[laughing]

All at once, he, he, he.

Scoob, it wasn't that funny.

It wasn't? Oh.

- Maybe it was a sonic boom. - Fred, look.

What's going on over there?

[Fred] 'They must be searching for something.'

- Let's go take a look. - Good idea, Velma.

'Shag, you and Scooby keep an eye on the Mystery Machine.'

Okay, Fred, like, we'll be right here.

Chowing down on the native fruit.

crunch crunch

Hmm, pineapple!

Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.

[Shaggy] Sorry, Scoob, I think I got the last one.

No, Scoob, pineapple's no good for ya.

Yikes!

Besides it's bad for your complexion.

'And, you probably wouldn't like it anyway.'

Huh.

[instrumental music]

And like, it's kinda sour.

Mm-hmm!

Scooby Doo-o-o!

crunch

Like, I've been robbed!

It was the crime of the century, senor!

What happened?

Our museum was robbed of many artefacts.

These treasures must not be allowed to leave Puerto Rico.

We'd be happy to help you search for them.

Uh, gracias, senorita.

But our police force can handle it.

Okay, officer. Good luck!

Come on girls, we've got a lot of sights to see.

[Shaggy] 'Scooby, get back here!'

'Scooby Doo!'

Like, I know you're here some place.

'Come on out with that hot pineapple.'

[laughing]

Yikes!

Now, that's more like it.

- Shaggy! - What is it, Scoob.

Over here, look, look.

Like, that's really interesting, Scooby.

Uh, but I'm sure there are better things

to see in Puerto Rico!

Huh?

I hope the police catch those thieves soon.

Right, Daphne, before the treasures

'are smuggled out of the country!'

kaboom

- What was that? - More thunder and lightning?

I don't think so, Daphne

it came from that castle up there.

It sounded like some kind of expl*si*n.

- We better check it out. - Uh, like, like..

Can we take a vote on that?

- I vote we check it out. - Me too.

- Count me in. - All those against?

- Me! - 'That's three to two.'

[Daphne] 'Three, four, five?'

We win.

'We lose.'

Listen, you two can stay out here if you want to.

But we're going inside.

Like, what do you think we are? Cowards?

You're right, we are!

[laughing]

[Daphne] Boy, this fortress looks awfully old.

It is, El Morro Fortress dates back over 400 years.

Like, on a clear day, I bet you could see

all of Puerto Rico from here.

Yeah! Yeow!

Hot! Hot! Hot! Ooh, hot! Hot! Hot!

Hot, come on, Scoob, like, this cannon probably

hasn't been fired in centuries.

Zoinks, it is hot.

Like, I wonder if those booms we heard were from this cannon.

[Scooby] 'I don't know.'

Yikes! Scooby, look behind you.

Out of my fortress!

G-ghost!

Be gone!

Good idea, like, let's let

begones be begones and split.

Couldn't we just, uh, you know, like, talk it over?

The time for talking is past, senor.

Whoa!

[laughing]

Follow me, Scoob.

[laughing]

Hah, hi, guys! Like, any luck?

No nothing, Shaggy.

Did you see anything unusual?

Yeah, there was this..

[muffled chatter]

Nope, not a thing, right, Scoob?

Yeah, yeah!

Why don't I believe that?

[laughing nervously]

Come on, let's get some rest

for our big fishing trip tomorrow.

whirr whirr

[Shaggy] 'Careful, Scoob, like, if they find out'

there's a ghost up there, you know

they'll wanna check it out.

Gotcha.

Fortress, sure, I know all about it.

- And it's ghost. - Ghost?

Would you tell us about it, Captain Eddie?

Well, Velma, legend has it

that the spirit of Juan Carlos

a 16th-century Spanish general

is still guarding the old fortress.

'And whenever he has a mind to'

'he likes to sh**t off the old cannon.'

That must be what we heard last night.

[laughing] You heard, it, eh?

Yeah, like, what they don't know won't hurt us.

Zoinks, he's still on the line!

Oh, no, you don't, you sea monster.

[laughs] Old Shag doesn't give up that easy

Gotcha!

- Yikes. - Ooh, get this off.

It's vicious! It's mean!

- It's.. - A parachute.

Parachute?

What would a parachute be doing in the ocean?

The backstroke?

[giggling]

No, there's no water damage to the fabric at all!

And look, it's much to small for a man to use.

[fog horn blaring]

[Eddie] 'Fog's rollin' in, we better get to shore.'

G-great, like, I want to get out of these cold clothes

and into a hot meal.

Brr! Me too!

We'll all grab a bite before we go back to the fortress.

Right. The fortress?

With the ghost?

So you did see something last night?

Like, oops, uh, didn't we, uh, mention the ghost?

- Silly us. - Yeah.

Like, I'm sorry, guys, but this time

we'll just stay here and guard the entrance.

Hey, like, wait, you can't leave us here.

The answers to this mystery just might be

at the Hall of Records.

Right, and somebody has to keep an eye

on things here while we check it out.

- Why us? - Yeah, like, why us?

Don't worry, guys, the ghost won't show up again.

Lightning never strikes twice in the same place.

Oh, yeah, like, he's got a point, Scoob.

Yikes!

- Fred, come back! - Daphne, Velma!

[male #1] 'Why do you disturb me so late at night?'

[Velma] 'There's something strange going on'

at the El Morro Fortress, senor

and we think there might be a connection

with the recent museum robbery.

Hey, Velma, Fred, look at this.

'This old map of San Juan'

'shows a tunnel leading to the fortress.'

[Fred] 'And it begins here where the museum is.'

I'm sorry, it is late. You must all leave.

- 'But--' - You must leave!

[Fred] 'Boy, what got into him?'

[Daphne] Well, where to now?

[Velma] To the next piece of the puzzle, the museum.

[Fred] 'Right, Velma!'

[dramatic music]

Like, do you see anything, Scoob?

- No, uh-uh, you see anything? - Nope.

[Fred] Okay, here's the museum.

And according to the map at the Hall of Records

the tunnel is right underneath us.

So there must be an entrance inside the museum.

[Fred] 'But why didn't the police find it?'

[Velma] 'It must be very well hidden.'

Let's see if we can get inside to check it out.

[dramatic music]

Whoops!

You found it, Daphne.

There's an opening under this phone booth!

Jinkies, this phone booth is a fake!

[Daphne] 'No wonder the police missed it.'

[Fred] Follow me!

[music continues]

We've been walking for almost an hour!

Yeah. Seems to go on forever.

Look, there's something at the end of the tunnel!

[instrumental music]

- 'Wow!' - 'Amazing!'

[Vilma] 'Look at all this stuff!'

[Fred] 'The stolen treasures!'

[Velma] 'We better head back right away and get the police!'

[music continues]

rumble rumble

[Fred] Look out, girls!

rumble

- What's that? - I don't know, Scoob!

It's coming from that direction!

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

[laughing]

[screaming]

crash

Like, what're you guys doing here?

[laughing]

Never mind answering. It's good to see you.

clink clink

Hey, like, you know we're trapped in here?

Trapped, I tell ya.

We'll never get outta here! Never! It's over!

It's over, I tell ya! We're finished!

[sobbing] Finished! I'm finished.

Now that you're finished, come over here

and help us look for a way out of here.

Hey, guys, look at these.

More parachutes like the one we found before.

Parachutes? Great!

Like, maybe we can skydive outta here!

Scoob, this is no time to be foolin' around!

Put down those cannon ba*ls!

Uh, alright!

clang clang

[Fred] 'Hey, what's this?'

'A hollow cannonball!'

Like, this mystery gets crazier and crazier.

Hollow cannonballs, parachutes.

Hmm. Maybe it's not so crazy after all.

- Look what I found, guys! - Good work, Velma!

click

We're free!

Great! Let's get outta here! Fast!

- Wait, just a minute! - Just a minute? Just a minute?

Like, that ghost is out there someplace

and he wants to do us in, Fred!

That's just why we've got to trap him, Shaggy!

And I've got a plan.

We take one of those parachutes and..

It's all set, now, we'll split up and try to make

as much commotion as possible to draw the ghost here.

Then we'll try to lead him through this doorway.

- It's him! Run! - Yikes!

- Hey, you two! Come back! - What's scared them?

Perhaps it was I.

- Fred! - Who are you?

Permit me to introduce myself.

I am Inspector Armandez of Puerto Rico police.

- Police? - That is correct.

I have been on this case from the beginning.

Allow me to congratulate you on locating

part of the missing treasure.

Just part of it?

Unfortunately, our ghost friend

has already managed to move

much of it out of the country.

[laughing]

[together] There he is!

[instrumental music]

Quick! After him!

I think we've lost him, Scoob!

[instrumental music]

The ghost!

[Fred] 'He went this way!'

There he is! Up there!

Hell cannot stop me!

He's heading back toward the dungeons!

[Velma] 'Oh, no, a dead end!'

[Fred] 'It's a trap!'

[laughing]

rumble rumble

You are trapped forever, my amigos!

[laughing]

Help! Help!

crash

- Scooby? - Quick, Shag!

Pull that lever and let us out!

[Juan] 'Bah! Get this thing off of me!'

[grunts]

You are finished, General Juan Carlos!

Or whoever you are!

[together] 'Captain Eddie!'

We located the rest of the treasures

on his boat, inspector.

Meddling young fools!

I'd gotten away with a king's ransom!

Like, I still don't understand how he got

all those things past the police.

Through the tunnel that leads here from the museum, Shaggy.

And then he didn't get it past the police, Shag.

He got it over them. With the cannon!

Over them?

Captain Eddie put the stuff inside these canisters

with the parachutes attached.

Then he aimed the old cannon toward his boat

anchored out at sea, and shot the treasure

'into his fishing nets.'

'He used the old legend of the ghost to scare people away'

'until he had all the stuff on his boat.'

Yeah, a couple of more nights and I would've had it all.

Take him away.

[instrumental music]

Well, I'm glad that mystery's over.

You said it, Velma!

Like, now we can get down to some serious vacationing.

Hey, that's some fortress you're building, Shaggy.

Yeah, and this one doesn't have a ghost.

[Scooby wailing]

[Shaggy] 'Zoinks! Like, it's a sand ghost!'

[laughing]

Scooby Dooby Doo!
