[Shaggy] 'That's my pal.'

Scooby-dooby-doo!

[Tony] 'No! No! Stay back!'

[Phantom] 'You know too much, Tony Synes.'

And you will not get away from me.

No, please!

There's no place to hide, nowhere to run.

'You won't get away from me.'

It's open.

[Phantom] 'I know you're here somewhere'

'Tony Synes.'

'There's no escape!'

[evil laughter]

No!

[evil laughter]

[instrumental music]

Like, that Jimmy Lewis sure sings a mean song.

Yeah, doesn't it make you feel like dancing?

Uh duh duh dah. Scooby-dooby-doo!

Scooby-dooby-doo!

[laughter]

[Shaggy] 'Go, Scoob, go!'

Stop, Fred!

'We're here, Decade Records.'

[Daphne] I hope we're not too late for the recording session.

We're fine, Daphne, Jimmy said he'd be recording late.

Ring the bell, Scooby.

- No bell. - No bell? Try knockin', Scoob.

Okay!

[Shaggy] 'Scooby!'

Yikes!

Who are you and what do you want?

I'm with them!

Uh, we're friends of Jimmy Lewis.

He asked us down to watch him record tonight.

- Yeah! - Yeah?

Well, he didn't say nothin' about it to me.

- Hey, you made it. - Hi, Jimmy.

- Hello. - Good to see you, Jim.

- Jimmy! - It's okay, Joe.

They're friends of mine.

Come on in, we're about to start.

I gotta admit, you've come at kind of a bad time.

Tony Synes has disappeared.

- The song writer disappeared? - 'Without a trace.'

Like, the worst kind of disappearing.

He left this new song behind that we'll record tonight.

'It's not his best, but any Tony Synes song will sell.'

Especially with you singing it, Jimmy.

Kids, I'd like you to meet Ian Barkin.

My pianist and arranger.

He's the best in the business.

Pleased to meet you.

This is a Tony Synes song?

'The handwriting is shaky. It's not like Tony at all.'

Come on into the control booth, g*ng.

'You can listen from there.'

I'd like you to meet, Ace Decade.

'He's the Mr. Decade's nephew.'

Hi, kids.

[Jimmy] 'And that's our recording engineer Brick Tyler.'

[Velma] 'This is really exciting for us, Mr. Decade.'

Whoa!

Hey, Scoob, like, get off of that.

Are you okay, pal?

Not yet.

- Now? - Now!

Okay, Ian, give us a level.

I'll give you a melody line.

[piano music]

[electricity crackling]

- Yeow! - It's exploding!

Let's get out of here.

- What was that? - I-I don't know, Velma.

The-the equipment just short circuited, I guess.

All sorts of strange things have been

happening around here lately.

All because of that Phantom.

[in unison] Phantom?

I think, like, that's our cue

to hit the road, right, Scoob?

Right!

Uh, we'll meet you guys in The Mystery Machine.

Don't just stand there, Scoob, open the door.

After you!

Yikes!

It's the Phantom!

I heard the explosions, everything okay, Mr. Decade?

Yeah, everything's fine, Joe.

What's this about a Phantom, Jimmy?

It's just a legend, Fred.

Something about a ghostly musician.

'Who wanders these corridors seeking vengeance'

'against those who ruined his career.'

Oh, we certainly had nothing to do with ruining his career.

Like, I don't know, Daphne.

Maybe he knows we didn't buy his records, huh?

[giggling]

[Jimmy] 'While Brick fixes the equipment.'

I'll give you a tour of the studio.

Uh, thanks, but with that Phantom out there

I think we'll stay in here.

I'll get some temporary equipment, Mr. Decade.

[Decade] 'Thanks, Brick.'

[Ian] 'And I'll take five.'

Well, how about that, Scoob?

We got the whole place to ourselves.

Uh, yeah.

'Hey, Scoob, how about a little'

'demonstration of musical genius?'

[clears throat] Uh, what'll it be?

The second of Beethoven?

The third of Mozart?

The fourth of July, huh?

[laughing]

Uh!

'Okay, okay, like, how about your'

'basic minute waltz in 59 seconds?'

What's that?

Uh, somebody probably just left the tape runnin'.

I'll cover..

[evil laughter]

Something tells me, this is the Phantom.

Run, Scooby!

[both grunting]

I got you.

[Shaggy] 'Not if we can help it.'

'Forward run, Scooby!'

[Scooby] 'Right with you!'

[Shaggy] 'Faster, Scooby.'

I'll get you, yet.

You'll never get away from me.

This is the shipping room, where they send my records

to the record shops all over the country.

'Those ten stacks are being shipped'

'first thing in the morning.'

Ten, I only count six, Jimmy.

There are only six.

The Phantom has struck again.

[Shaggy] 'You're-you're tellin' us?'

We just met him, face to horrible face.

Yeah!

[growling]

We barely escaped with our lives.

- And, Ian's piano. - Where?

- Right there. - In the recording studio.

So, this Phantom got away with the music?

It looks like we'll have to cancel the session, Mr. Decade.

Not necessarily, Brick, I've got another copy

in my dressing room.

Like, we'll go get it, Jimmy.

Anything to get out of this creepy place.

Come on, Scoob.

I'll still need some more equipment, I'll be right back.

This is really odd.

What would a Phantom want with Tony's song?

And whatever happened to Tony.

[Shaggy] 'Here it is, Scoob, Jimmy Lewis' dressing room.'

- Hello? - Anybody in there?

That includes Phantoms. All clear, Scoob.

Let's get that music.

Better close the door, Scoob.

Like, we don't want the Phantom to find us in here.

Okay, Shaggy.

Here's the sheet music.

I'll bet it has something to do with

all the strange things that have been happening lately.

[Phantom over PA] 'You will never get away from me.'

Open the door, Scoob.

[groaning]

[Velma] 'Relax, Shaggy. It's only Ace Decade.'

Sorry, if I startled you.

I heard that weird voice and..

[Phantom over PA] 'Get out, while you still can?'

'Or I will track you down one-by-one.'

'And you will never get away, you hear me? Never.'

[evil laughter]

It's coming over the speakers.

Those are the intercom speakers.

He must be in one of the offices.

Then this is our chance.

We'll split up and check 'em all.

[Fred] 'Right, let's go.'

Velma's right, Scooby. This is our chance.

Huh?

[Shaggy] 'While the Phantom's in some office.'

We check out the cafeteria.

Yum!

Follow me, pal.

[Phantom over PA] 'Get out while you still can.'

'Before I find you all. And..'

[Fred] 'It was just a tape recording'

[Velma] 'With the intercom switch tape to on.'

But how did it get here, in my office?

Nobody has a key but me.

And I always keep the office locked.

Well, obviously, somebody has another key.

But, who?

Like, so far, so good, Scoob.

- No Phantom. - Yeah, no Phantom.

But here's something I think we should check out.

Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.

A milkshake vending machine.

Lucky I always come prepared for just these emergencies.

[machine whirring]

- What's goin' on? - I don't know.

[Shaggy] 'Okay, like, where's the milkshake?'

Maybe it comes out over here.

Yum!

Nope, it's not there.

'Oh, well, I'll try again.'

[machine whirring]

Like, not again!

This machine's a thief.

Like, I'm not wasting anymore money here.

What're you doin', Scoob?

- One more time. - One more time?

Yeah, yeah!

Okay, but, like, this is the last time.

clink

[machine whirring]

Okay, that's it. I give up.

Like there're other goodies here.

[laughs]

Hey, Scoob, like look what I found.

'Just look at all those goodies.'

Yeah, goodies.

[laughing]

Ice and cakes, and hero sandwiches

tacos and candy bars.

It's a gold mine.

'I think I'll just start with a sandwich.'

[groans] This door is stuck.

I'll try this pizza here at the bottom.

Hmm, yum, yum, yum!

I don't understand what's wrong with..

You okay, Scoob?

[mumbling]

crash

- What was that? - I don't know.

[Shaggy] 'Like, there's somebody in there, Scoob.'

- There is? - Can you hear that?

crash

I guess we better at least look inside, huh?

Anybody home?

[growling]

- The Phantom! - The Phantom!

[knocking on door]

We did it, Scooby, like, we captured the Phantom.

- Hurray, for us. - Let's get the others.

What are you two up to?

Uh, well, you see, you know the Phantom.

[mumbling]

Wait! Hey, like, where're you takin' us?

'Hey, y-y-you don't understand.'

clank

meow

[Shaggy] 'Are you okay, Scoob?'

Yeah!

Well, it's no use.

The equipment will have to be replaced tomorrow.

So, this session is cancelled?

Afraid so, Jimmy.

We'll try again, tomorrow.

Well, it looks like, we're alone.

Yeah, just us.

And the Phantom.

Like we gotta tell the others what we found, Scoob.

Yeah, I know.

And it looks like that window is the only way.

Here, I'll give you a boost up.

Uh, no way.

- Oh, like come on, Scoob. - Uh-uh.

Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?

- No. - Two Scooby Snacks?

Hmm...well..

Okay, four.

But that's my final offer.

Okay. Ah, ah!

Sorry, Scoob, like, I'm fresh out. I'll have to owe ya.

Come on, now. Alley-oop.

Geronimo!

Atta boy, Scoob, in the window.

'The window, Scoob, you missed the window.'

Yeo-o-ow!

plop

He-e-elp!

'You're doin' great, Scoob.'

'Grab for the window!'

- 'Oops!' - 'Scooby!'

Did I do it?

No, Scooby, like, you didn't do it.

Well, we'll try something else.

Just a little higher, Scoob.

I...I can almost reach the window.

'One more inch.'

[screams]

Hey, hey, will you look at that.

'A hundreds of Jimmy Lewis albums.'

Who'd want to throw all those away?

I don't know.

[piano music]

What could be so special about this music?

It's not even one of Tony Synes' best songs.

Hmm, maybe Tony was trying to tell us something.

bang bang

[Velma] 'Something's inside the air vents.'

Whatever it is, we'll be ready for it.

- 'Scooby!' - 'Shaggy!'

Like, we were just in the neighborhood

and thought we'd drop in.

[laughing]

- What're you doing in there? - It's a long story.

But have we got news for you.

'The garbage cans outside are filled'

'with Jimmy Lewis albums.'

What?

'All of 'em, chuck full of records.'

'And that's not all.'

- What else, Shaggy? - There's the Phantom.

There's the Phantom.

- What? - It's mine now.

And you'll never get it back.

[evil laughter]

Give that back!

Good ropin', partner.

You will give that back to me, now!

Everybody, scatter!

[Daphne] 'Shaggy, the Phantom is right behind you.'

Like, somebody catch!

Grab it!

I've got it!

Grab that plane, Scoob.

thud

Help!

Come down here!

Geronimo!

crash

- Scooby did it! - Yay, captured the Phantom.

[growling]

I did?

Now to see who this Phantom really is.

Ace Decade? But why?

He was stealing records from his uncle's studio

and selling them for his own personal profit.

I get it, like, he was smuggling

the records out in the garbage cans.

Right, Shaggy.

But he was the one who led us

to find the tape deck in his office.

[Fred] To throw us off the track, Daphne.

You see, he tried to make us think he was being framed.

Our big clue was this song.

It told us he was the guilty one.

Tony Synes found out what Ace was doing and left this clue.

'The notes in the first three bars'

'spell out Ace Decade!'

And when Ace heard it played on the piano

he realized what Tony had done and faked

the explosions to stop the session.

[Velma] 'The Phantom was just a cover for'

'his under-handed operations.'

'To keep people away. But what happened to Tony Synes?'

[snapping fingers] I'll bet we know.

We do?

- Tony! - We saw him earlier.

But figured he was the Phantom.

So, we shut him in again.

I'm sorry, I scared you.

But I thought you were the Phantom.

[laughing]

Us, the Phantom?

[laughing] Like, did you hear that, Scoob?

Who could mistake us for the Phantom?

[evil laughter]

[growling]

The Phantom!

Scooby, come back, it's only a mirror.

A mirror?
