That's where everyone will be having their surprises.

Especially for surprise day.

- She's missing out on surprise day!

I gave her what I thought would be a nice surprise

And she got mad at me.

Then she didn't want anything to do with surprises

- That's what surprise told us.

- Well, why would she be upset?

- Share gave her a special surprise,

But harmony didn't like it.

- Maybe we should go talk to her.

- Oopsy, put the tires back.

Gotta get up pretty early to surprise old grumpy.

At least come out and talk to us.

- I don't like not knowing what's coming.

I mean, what if there's a bad surprise?

- I know how you feel.

Sometimes I worry, too.

But I've never had a bad surprise yet.

But then I see how much fun

Everyone's having, and I want to have fun

On surprise day, too.

- Well, maybe instead of getting surprised,

You should try giving someone a surprise.

- Giving a surprise?

- Yeah. You might enjoy that.

- How about if we do it together?

- Well, that might be ok.

It'll be fun!

- I can't think of any sort of surprise to do.

To get an idea.

It's that book on butterflies I've been wanting!

A surprise is unexpected.

That's what makes it fun.

- Especially when it's a gift,

Like the tuney tulip you had for me.

I can see how this could be fun,

But I still get nervous.

We should start with someone easier.

Once the work's done, then everyone can play.

[Clock chiming]

- Ohh. Why, there's just not enough hours in the day

To get everything done.

- Yeah, well, tomorrow is another day.

- But we want to play now.

- Tweazle, I don't like being patient.

It's no fun.

- There's gotta be some way to make things go faster

So the care bears can play with us sooner.

[Clock chiming]

Why are we talking to the clock?

Mr. Clock doesn't seem to want to talk to us.

- We're not talking to it, we're going to speed it up.

That way everyone will do their work faster.

- And then we'll get to play sooner.

Ooh. Do you think it's a good idea?

- Bumpity, we'll be helping our friends,

And helping is good, right?

- Yeah, I guess so.

Are you sure this is gonna work?

- Of course!

We'll be playing before you know it.

[Gears cranking]

Let's see how fast they can get done with work today.

- Well, back to work.

Look what time it is!

We better pick up the pace.

- At this rate, their work will be done in no time.

- They'll thank us for helping,

And then we can play.

- [Panting] I'm all worn out.

- This was the hardest day of work ever.

- Look on the bright side.

We got all our work done.

- You call that done?

Look at that mess!

- How did this happen?

- Hey, if it's the end of the day,

Then why is the sun still up?

- Because somebody tampered with that clock.

- Who would do that?

- Hey, guys, looks like your work's all done.

Who wants to play tag?

- Ooh, me! I'll be it!

Or, uh... One of you can be it.

Is there something you'd like to share with us?

- We set up the clock

So you could get your work done faster.

- Ooh, I don't think they're going to thank us.

- No. What you did was wrong.

- Changing the clock doesn't change real time.

- Besides, it's not nice to play tricks like that on your friends.

- Ooh, we thought we were helping.

- Well, your "helping" made even more work for us.

Now we have a big mess to clean up.

- If time really was set up,

I bet bumpity and I could take care of it.

- We could do it. At least let us try.

Could use our belly badges to speed up day and night.

- Bedtime. That's right.

- But we didn't get our work done.

After we get some rest, we'll work even faster.

Next you have to sweep main street.

- Ha! We'll just blow that problem away.

[Both take big breath]

- Ok, lights out.

- This is getting frustrating.

We didn't even get a drink of water before bed.

- Next job--

Water the park.

- Easy as pie!

- Tweazle!

We never water pie.

It gets soggy.

Both: oh, come on!

- [Panting]

This is no way to get anything done!

- [Panting]

We didn't get anything done.

- That's right, you didn't.

- There's a time for work and a time for play.

- And everyone needs to take the time to do the job right.

We made you rush around like this, too.

- Now we know what it feels like.

We're sorry.

- That's ok.

Everyone's allowed an oopsie once in a while.

- I fixed it!

- Everyone ready for a night of rest?

You've earned it.

- Yep, and since our work is done,

Tomorrow we'll have the whole day to play.

[Both giggling]

Tomorrow we can play!

I want to get rested up first.
