-[gnawing]

[Doc] Progress.

One week,
the Captain's Inn opens for business,

and a week later,

they're digging up the street
in front of our house,

putting in a new gas main

and making a terrible racket.

[gnawing continues]

Oh, you don't care about the noise,
do you, Sprocket?

You love digging around
in that big pile of dirt out there.

What are you chewing on, Sprocket?

Come on, spit it out.

[whines]

Yes, you. Come on.
Come on, spit it out, boy.

[sighs]

Sprocket, do you know what this is?

This isn't a nom-nom rock.

-[whines]
-It's a fossil.

[grunts]

Yes, the perfectly preserved remains
of a seabed creature

that lived here
a hundred million years ago.

Where did you get it?

In that pile of dirt in the front yard?

The gas company
must be excavating a fossil bed.

-[whines]
Well, they can't do that.

That steam shovel could be destroying
an irreplaceable record

-of early life on this planet.
[yelps]

-I've got to call the gas company...
-[whines]

and tell them
they don't know what they're doing.

-{lifts phone receiver]
-[sighs]

[telephone dialing]

[Mokey] Dear Diary...

Well, here we are

in our most favorite place
in the whole world.

-Hove this place, Diary.
-[bird squawking]

It's so peaceful.

I When you're weary with the world



I You can reach out
Feel the love, the joy

I Feel the breeze and smell the grass

I Hear the birds sing as they pass }

I Through the branches of the trees

[sighs]

I wish everyone could feel

-what 'm feeling right now.
[squeaking]

[squeaking]

[laughing]

-[squeaking]
{laughing]

-[squeaking]

You're a Toe Tickler, hmm?

That what you are? Hmm?

[chomping]

Oh, and you like to eat
those little white flowers too, don't you?

Well, they're good, huh?

-[laughing]
{squeaking]

Well, 'm Mokey Fraggle, and you are...

Agnes.

Agnes the Toe Tickler. Yes?

-[squeaking]
{laughing]

Nice to meet you, Agnes. Really...

Hey... Hey, Agnes, wait for me.

[chittering]

[giggling] Come on, Agnes. Come on, girl.

“Whoa.
-I want you to protect

-these flowers.
-[whispers] Agnes. Come here.

-What, those little teeny white things?
-Shh.

-[Junior gasps]
What's so special about them?

-Ooh.
-[sighs] They are the same flowers



[groaning]

Oh, your mother's got a memory
like a mule.

Yeah.

[laughing nervously]

[stammers] Gee, I think
these flowers are pretty.

Of course they are.

But every time they come into bloom,

a plague of hideous little furry pests

swarms into our garden to devour them.

Oh.

This year, things will be different.

What's inside this sprayer?

-[sniffing]
-Poison.

-[gags]
-Now | want you to stand on guard

and spray any creature
that looks like this.

- I shall be heartbroken
-[gasps]

if these flowers are gobbled up
before they reach full bloom.

-Agnes...
-[Pa Gorg] Ch.

[splutters]

The king of the universe

does not hang around spraying for bugs.

Yeah.

You do it
-[groans, stammers]

And do it right.

-Understand?
-Aye-aye, aye-aye, Captain Daddy.

Those furry little bugs
will wish they'd never been born.

[laughs]

[grunting angrily]

She is not a bug.

-[squeaking]
-[scoffs]

Don't you worry, Agnes.

I won't let those monsters hurt you.

Come on.

-[squeaking]
-{giggling]

Agnes, please. [giggling]

Bug patrol...

About face.

Bug patrol...

-Forward march.
-Agnes, stop...

Whoa, Agnes. [giggles]
-Hup, two, three, four...

[Gobo] Mokey.

Mokey...

[panting]

Oh, hey. Have you guys seen Mokey?




Oh. Well, she wasn't there
when I woke up this morning.

But she left a note
saying she'd gone to her secret place.

Well, what does it say?

"Dear Nephew Goho..."

Oh, she'll like that.

[Matt] Whenever ! get a chance
to appreciate Mother Nature,



[grunting]

Today, while doing this,

I discovered the place
of forgotten treasures.

From all the evidence,

the silly creatures used fo have
some kind of settlement here.

Hmm.

-Oh.
-[clattering]

Why did they abandon this beautiful place

and forget fo take all their treasures?

I noticed
one of the absent-minded silly creatures

and tried to set matters right.

[clearing throat]

Excuse me, but I believe
you forgot these treasures.

The silly creature
showed me a special place

where the treasures could be stored.

Allow me to be of assistance.

{ pitched right in and helped.

[stammers] Whoa!

[grunts, groans]

The silly creature
was ever so appreciative.

[grunts]

Isn't nature wonderful?

[sniffles]

[Gobo] "Love to all,

-your Uncle Traveling Matt."
-[all] Traveling Matt.

-[laughing]
{squeaking]

Hey, what's that?

{squeaks continue]
{Mokey giggles]

Ooh, ooh.

Hey, Red. Hey, everybody. Come quick.

'Whoa.
-Look what I found in the...

Whoa, girl.

[clamoring]

What s that thing?
[squeaking]

This is Agnes.

Agnes the Toe Tickler.

[laughing]

Come on, Agnes, strut your stuff.

[laughter]

[Mokey] Isn't that great?

She just loves to hear our laughter.

[laughs] Oh, this little critter
is sensational.

[laughing]

I can't believe
what she's doing to my toes.

It's like pins and needles
turned inside out.

Ooh, stop. Make it stop. I can't breathe.

[laughter]

[Mokey] And... and can you believe it?

Those creepy Gorge wanted to k*ll her.

[Gobo] Aww.

Oh, Agnes.

-[Gobo] Aww...
-[Mokey] Hmm...

-[chomping]
Boy, that little critter sure is hungry.

-Yeah.
-Yeah, she eats like crazy.

What are you gonna do with Agnes?

Oh, gee, I don't know, um...

Keep her?
-[all gasp]

You mean, here?

Well, sure. Or, um...

Over there.

I wonder why the Gorge would wanna k*ll
something so cute and fuzzy.

-{laughs]
-Yeah, that's what...

That's what I thought.

-Besides, one little Toe Tickler
{laughing]

-Won't take up much space.
-Aww... No.

-[chittering]
-Huh? What's that?

[chittering continues]

[gasps]

[laughter]

[Doc] Thank you for your time,
Dr. Dewdney.

I'm glad we got all that sorted out.

Oh, Sprocket.

-This is so exciting.
{sighs]

That gentleman is from
the geology department at the university.

-[sighs]
-They put a stop work order

on the whole project.

Whines]
Well, don't you see,

if it hadn't been for your discovery,

the gas company would've destroyed
a record of Earth's early history.

Sprocket, you're a hero.

-[grunts]
-[phone ringing]

Oh.

-Hello.
-[woman speaking]

Ah, Ms. Ardath.

-[whines]
-Yes, yes.

I stopped them putting the gas main in.

Isn't that wonderful news?

[woman speaking]

Well...


Ms. Ardath.

[woman speaking]

Yes, yes, you're quite right.
I should've thought about it.

-[woman speaking]
-But... but don't worry, I'll...

'I come up with some solution.

Ms. Ardath has worked herself up
into quite a tizzy.

-[groans]
Well, if the gas company

doesn't put the line in,

she won't be able to have central heating

-for the Captain's Inn.
-[sighs]

The place will have to close,

and I'll be out of a job.

[gasps, howls]

All because of a petrified little creature

that lived here 400 million years ago.

Oh, Sprocket, what am I gonna do?

[laughter]

Mokey, they're still coming in
from the Gorg's garden.

Oh, well, it's a miracle of nature, Gobo.

-[laughs] Yeah.
-We provide the toes,

they provide the tickle.

Hey, everybody, let's celebrate!

I Though it begins in your toes

even one of those little fuzzy things.

I wonder what happened to them.

Those bridal bouquet flowers
came up real nice.

[sniffing]

[retching]

Oh, they smell like old socks.

-Uh-oh. Give me that.
-What...

Well, dear. [laughs]

I guess you might say
mission accomplished.

Aren't they exquisite.

-Uh, it wasn't easy, dear.
-Aww.

I've been battling
those little fuzzy things

tooth and nail all morning.

Of course I have, you nitwit.

-[groans]
-[clearing throat]

Well, what do you think?

-Pretty enough for you?
-[sniffing]

[clearing throat]

I think that that's the smell
of the mature blossom, dear.

they are crowding out our radishes.

[Pa Gorg stammers]

[laughter]

Mokey, what are you gonna do about this?

They seem to be running amok.

Oh, they're just a little confused, Gobo.

Confused? They're ravenous.

They're gonna eat us
out of cave and tunnel.

I have a very good relationship
with Agnes.

Um, maybe I can talk to her, you know.

Mokey, you're dreaming.

These things are on the rampage.

They don't belong here.

Oh, Gobo.

[screaming]

[high-pitched buzzing]

[Mokey] I think Agnes is giving them
some sort of a signal.

-[buzzing stops]
Mokey] Oh.

[chittering continues]

-Ooh.
-Oh.

Outside.

[laughing]

Hey, I got an idea.

Let's head them off and herd them
into Chimney Hole Cavern.

-Yeah.
-Good idea.

-They'd be out of trouble down there.
-Yeah. Come on.

[stutters] But... Gobo, wait.

[grunting]

[Boober] Over there.

-Up ahead there.
{Wembley] I can hear 'em. I can hear 'em.

[panting]

[screaming]

[Mokey] Gobo, no, no no.

Let's think about this.

Maybe you're right.

[screaming]

[Boober] Oh, no, let's get them.

[Wembley] There they are.

Hi-yah!

[clamoring]

[laughter]

[Gobo] Yeah. All right, Wembley.

[shouting]

[Red] I'm gonna get them in there.
Get them in there.

Whoa.

Wembley, come on.

-Get in there.
{screaming]

Come on. [laughs]

Hi-yah! Get in there.

Hey, we did it.

Come on, quick.

Help me move this rock
in front of the opening

-before they get out.
-[straining]

[Mokey] Gobo.

Gobo, you can't do this.

Oh, Gobo.

What'll they eat in there?

Oh, Mokey,
there's plenty of cave moss in there.

Well... well, what about
when the cave moss runs out?

Mokey, they call it Chimney Hole Cavern

'cause there's a hole in the top.
Remember?

Yeah, what are you worried about?

Well... Well, it's a long way to the top.

Sure, for a Fraggle it's a long way.

But for a hungry Toe Tickler,
I's no problem.

When they get hungry, they'll move out.

Oh...
-Yeah.

[sobs]

Hey... hey, Mokey, I'm sorry.

[stammers] I know you did your best
for those little critters.

But, oh, it just didn't work out.

-[sighs]
-Don’t worry.

They'll be okay.

[meekly] Yeah.

[[sighs]
-Are you coming, Mokey?

Oh...

No, Red, I...

I think I'd rather stay here for a while.

Okay?

-Okay.
-Yeah.

I... 'I wait for you in the Great Hall.

Oh, yeah, sure.

[sighs]

Oh, Agnes.

This is all wrong.

I can't just leave you in there like this.

[spits]

[straining]

-[rumbling]

Mokey's caught in a cave-in.

No Fraggle has ever made it
to the top of Chimney Hole Cavern.

And I don't think
they'll ever move that rock slide.

Oh, Agnes.

It doesn't look good.

I'm so sorry, my little friend. I...

I just didn't know.

There are so many things I didn't know.

Oh.

[sniffles]

[humming]

with all those Toe Ticklers.

-[Boober shudders]

Move these rocks.

[chittering]

[gasps]

It's magic.

Oh, Agnes, you're beautiful.

Yay, you're free. Fly away.

Yeah, These things are nauseating.

And they smell bad, too.

Let's get rid of this stink weed
once and for all.

-[grunting]

those little furry things.

The Purple Sproingers
devour the pestilent plants.

Never seen them do that before in my life.

Why, they normally
just fly over this place and look pretty.

[all sighing]

Where did they come from?

They're born someplace up in the clouds.

They've always been
my favorite garden creatures.

So much prettier
than those dreadful little fuzzy things.

Those Gorge may be large,

but they sure don't see the big picture.

[clamoring]

-Mokey.
Mokey.

-Mokey, are you in there?
-Mokey?

-Mokey!
-'m out here.

Well, fine. Grab a rock, then.

-Mokey.
What...

-Mokey!
Mokey!

[cheering]

-Mokey.
-We thought you were...

We... we thought you were...

Well, I was. I was.

Well, what happened? How'd you get out?

-Yeah, how'd you get out?
Well, Agnes did it.

-[all] Agnes?
-Yeah.

Wait till I tell you the story.

It's amazing.

Well, Sprocket.
-grunts]]

-In the best of all possible worlds
whines]

People solve problems
through working out compromises,

and that's what happened today.

I met with a representative
of the gas company,

geologist from the university,

and we figured out
anew route for the gas line.

But all we have to do
is move the line closer to our house,

and then the fossil bed
will be undisturbed.

-[whining]
-The geologist said

people will come from all over the world

to see the fossils that we collect here.

-[woofing]
-You should've seen Ms. Ardath's face

-when she heard that.
-[panting]

All we need to do now
is find a new place for your dog house.

[gasps, whines]

-[gnawing]
-[laughs]
