On June 21st, Benjamin Whitney and undercover agent

for the Immigration and Naturalization Service

was shot and seriously wounded on a Detroit pier.

Whitney was investigating the smuggling of aliens

into the United States by organized crime elements

in Detroit.

Because of the threat he posed

professional K*llers were employed to k*ll him.

Since the as*ault involved a federal officer

the FBI entered the case.

One which tied into an intensive ongoing probe

of the widespread criminal organization.

- Mr. Rodman? - Yeah.

the whole thing was over within three-four seconds.
