this time no way is hideous Elvis
tries to sell me on a rare special edition

golf convertible in my least favorite
color I love it my first ever car was

yellow but I'm struggling to see the
opportunity all the paint work looks

really dirty if you not bother cleaning
out a bit spin Polish and it'd be

good wouldn't this canary colored
cabrio was going cheap for a good

reason and the roof don't work lovely
but Elvis is determined to turn this one

round absolutely gleaming and give me
the shock of my life love it love it love

it I'm Mike Brewer and I've been buying
and selling cars for nearly 40 years.

it's rattling noisy is utterly
wonderful now I'm set up shop in

Britain's motor inheritance heartland
near Oxford I can't stop smiling along with

ex-formula one mechanic Mark Elvis
Priestley come on oh yeah together we're

going to buy I love these me so do I
and fix up right down there I'm fine the

most iconic and exciting cars on
the market why is it on a trailer hasn't

run for 30 years 30 years with Elvis's
engineering skill oh my goodness

what a mess and my car dealing
clout couldn't you be in a bit cheeky with

your price we should be able to make
ourselves a tiny profit hey mate I found

us a car you found us a car yeah come
on I love it when a colleague picks up

some of the slack what is it there's
lots about this car I think you're

gonna like it's a VW good golf better
take a look no way it's hideous look

how yellow that car is you know I
can't stand yellow cars is no and I've.

never understood it I love them my
first ever car was yellow that explains a

lot there's a whole host of reasons why
yellow cars don't work they take longer

to sell plus in the summer you get
chased by bugs mate it's a convertible

we buy twice as many convertibles as
the Italians we buy 10 times more than

the Spanish but there is a very
good reason give it to me it's cheap

how cheap I mean really really cheap
see now you've spiked my interest yellow

just look beyond the color yeah okay
Elvis I'll keep an open mind especially as

I've learned something else about this
car now this golf that I'm gonna go and

see is called a color concept or a
limited edition it's got the front and

back end of a Mark for golf but the
sides of a Mark 3 golf and the stays a

bit of an oddball but that might
mean that this car is special it's rare

it's gonna be sought after and that
always gets me going in the morning when

I know something is special limited
and very rare that means it's worth going

to see sometimes these models are
utterly outrageous but more often than

not manufacturers preferred small
changes like unusual color options

fancy alloys or specked-up interiors
these rare cars can sometimes end up

becoming sought-after collectors
items so although the yellow color concept

I'm off to see might not be my cup
of tea I'll give him his due Elvis could

be onto something but there's
always a reason a car is cheap.

selling the car he's called Russell
and he's got his own paint and body

shop he's asking 1500 pounds for
it and I'm not expecting to look at a

show car for that kind of money
because I have seen these cars sell

somewhere between four and five
thousand pounds so hopefully there's not.

too much to do and there is some
profit in it was it too late to change my

mind Russell how are
you and I'd like nice to

meet you that's proper yellow in it
Wow yeah you got a light yellow how

long you had it and probably about
six to seven months if you like that what

did you like about it I like the colors
kidding now would you go friend

did your girlfriend like yeah yeah so
you were gonna actually work on this

car yourself I bought it for to do as
a project to make it's concourse as

I could can I not wait for you to
do that and come back it'll be a few

years they really yeah so I might
as well start and look around it

properly I mean the all the paint
work looks really dirty have you not

bothered cleaning it out I haven't
no it's been polished and it'd be good

one you say so the wheels they need
refurbishing yeah rear wheel arch like

these painting yeah let's open it
up oh yellow is nasty it's absolutely

everywhere it's on the door cards
the seats the gear shifter and it's

really faded and
really dirty keys are in it

did fire up yeah yeah Pfizer yeah
beautiful I mean they're inner wings

and the suspension turrets and
everything looks original so it hasn't

been crashed I'll be honest with you
Russ I am really in two minds whether

to just thank you for your time or
to be brave enough and ask you if I

should take it for a test drive
take it for a test drive you'll love it.

listen to it the suspension is it's
collapsed on the front oh it's gonna

need some serious attention it
really is the weather's nice let's get this

roof off and enjoy the experience
and the roof don't work lovely so

that's another thing it's cracked
screen windows don't work suspensions

collapse the interior it's gonna need
more than just a you know a bit of

treatment on the leather to bring it
back we have to address everything we

have to replace the screen fix the
roof repair the broken suspension but

if we do get it right it has got a
marketplace and this is where Elvis

is becoming a Wheeler dealer
he's realizing that these little special

edition cars like this color concept
is one of those cars that's gonna sell

because there's so few of them out
there in a marketplace and admittedly

if I can see beyond the yellow there
will be a profit to be had so for that

reason alone I'm gonna go back I
can't believe I'm gonna say this I'm

gonna go back and try my hardest
to get a deal going with Russell.

did you like it honestly rush you said
go and experience here go and have

the Sun on your face get the wind
in your hair roof doesn't work oh the

suspensions broken paintwork needs
tidying up the wheels need refurbishing.

interior is hideous I just don't know
if it's if it's worth the money does

you want 1500 pound for you yeah
and you're saying that with a straight

face yeah definitely I think I'm
being really brave if I was to say

it's worth a grand yeah much more
than that I thought when I said that

you'd leap across the bonnet and
hug me what's the best you take for it

14 1200 quid that's it I've got to put
a screen in it as one right behind you.

what that's the screen for this car
certainly is a new one brand new I'll

do you 1350 with that brand new
screen I don't want to say it but I'm

gonna have to done I'm just gonna
bought Elvis a VW Golf color concept.

well there you have it 1350 pounds
plus a windscreen I think for Elvis it's

gonna be a case of making sure we
get it running safely fix the suspension

and then we can set about thinking
about the aesthetics and what we can

do for it but if we do get it right
and I need to bear this in mind we get

the ingredients right we could have
a little special car out there in the

marketplace it's very rare and we
can find a customer for it should be good

now I've got to endure this nasty
journey back to the workshop I just

hope nobody out there recognizes me
as I'm driving down the road just don't.

want anyone to see me.

I love it I mean different car but
this rolls back the clock like 25 years

it's another yellow VW with the same
charm and character come on love it

listen this car it sounds like a one-man
bang going down the road it's clanging

banging yellow inside as well a
yellow outside it's yellow mess it's

horrible I mean I heard some of the
noises it might be a couple of issues

with the suspension but come on nothing
that's not fixable that's what we do

we fix up cars but can you imagine
when this thing's done no and it's

another sunny day with the roof down
it's gleaming in its bright yellow no you

can't imagine it no because this
bit couldn't get the roof off because it

don't work it doesn't work yet if I
could take the roof off I'll be saving

your blushes because wait until
you see the inside are you prepared for

them back can it be all right I mean
that's pretty bad but look at those

what these these wheels look at
those I'll give you the only endearing

feature about the car is the fact
it's got split rim BBS's they are good

wheels aren't they they are good
there how much did you pay for this 1350

pound amazing hey 1350 that's nothing
and imagine when it's done somebody is

gonna love this even if it's not you
yet someone else definitely will at

1350 quid there is profit in this
thing right here there's one other

broken thing what my pride come
on let's get it in the workshop I.

convinced Mike to buy some rare
color concept VW Golf Cabriolet I love it

but I'm sure we can sell for more
than the 1350 pounds he paid for it I

had to twist his arm because he has
a serious aversion to yellow cars but

you know what I love it partly
because it's fun and it's cheap and partly

because it reminds me of the first
car that I ever bought a bright yellow

VW Beetle and on top of that they're
really easy to spot in a busy car park.

what exactly is my mission here
well first and foremost I really want to

convert Mike gray black and white
are the UK's favorite colors for new cars

but it's a traders secret that
yellow cars and other bright colors

depreciate slower I did an Internet
search and found there are only four

yellow goals of this age still on the
road compared to over 11,000 in silver

and that rarity means that if we
get it right our yellow beauty could be

worth a tidy sum however I would
be quite happy to sell this to a driver

that has a smaller budget who
can get as much joy out of a fun

summertime cheap car as I did when
I first bought mine back at age 17 first.

thing to do to attract a yellow car
fan is to sort the damage caused by 18

years and 114,000 miles of motoring
now both rear wheel arches on our golf

have been affected by rust now I had
hoped to be able to just rub this down

and repair it but on closer
inspection the rust has actually gone.

all the way through to the other
side so what I am going to do is take

away the minimum amount of metal
as possible to maintain the structural

integrity of this area of the car
but before I start any of that there

are some important safety
precautions I need to take first.

cutting and repairing the corroded
panel will create red hot sparks

so I'm making sure that both
the car and myself are covered up.

I'm starting by marking out the area that I
want to remove from the wheel arch and I'm

just going not too far
but far enough that I'm

gonna find clean metal
to weld the new section

into so I reckon that's
about 50 millimeters

or so all the way
around the rusty area and

I'm coming up as high as this because
it's easier to hide a weld in this slightly

shaped section of the wheel arch
than it would be on a completely flat bit.

there we go now I've managed to
find two replacement wheel arches

online for just 26 quid each and it
allows me then to just cut out the

section that I need to repair our
car by only using a small part of this

fresh panel to make my repair rather
than the whole thing I'm helping to

put the panel around 10
millimeters all the way around

the outside of that so
that we've got a little bit of

extra material that will
slot behind the panel

on the car just to give
us a bit more strength.

so that's the panel
now fully cut out before

I weld this into place
in the car I want to

create a stepped
section all the way around

the outside of here and
to do that I'm going to

use this bead rolling
machine together with

this little hand swaging
tool as well the reason

I'm doing it is twofold
first of all it gives

this a bit of added
strength it doubles up

the material when we apply the piece to the
car but it also just gives this piece this

panel a bit more rigidity
so when we apply the

heat from the welding
process it's much less

likely to warp the stepped edge created by
the bead roller will ensure the replacement

panel sits snugly
into the gap I cut out of

the golf now that's as
far as I can go with the

bead roller because of this angled return
on the piece of metal here can't fit it in

the machine so I'm
swapping to a more refined

tool now this swaging
tool is going to give.

us the same depth
swage as the bead roller

over there but because
it's smaller and a lot

more nimble I can get
into these tight confines

of these intricate
corners a lot more easily.

okay let's see if it fits okay there we go
so the piece is now clamped in position

from behind which
means I can now get the

welder out I'm going
to tack it in the corners

to hold it in position
and then apply a series

of tacks all the way
around spaced out by about

15 20 millimeters oh
that's it that's this side

of the car now
completely rust free I've still

got to grind it down
and fill it and then of

course I still got to
the other side of the

car but after that it's
ready for a new coat

of that brilliant
yellow paint hello mate

I made you yellow tea so you've had your
welder out yeah that rusty wheel arch gone.

no more and I got these
six out yeah these can

be taken away and
hopefully you got someone.

who can restore them
for us so can I choose a

different color as
long as it's yellow while

Mike sorts out the
interior I'm turning my

attention to the golf
suspension yeah there's.

definitely something wrong with that spring
it actually looks like the spring's broken

at the top in fact it
definitely is broken

it's fallen all the way
down now Springs are

made of hardened steel
metal fatigue can kick

in and these become
brittle and then the result

is this they snap to
remove the broken spring

I need to unbolt the
suspension strut from

the steering arm and
there is broken spring

there's absolutely no
way I can repair that so

it's got to be replaced
but if I only replace

this one spring it will
create an unbalanced ride

so it makes sense
to replace all four but

that's gonna set us
back a few quid now this

is interesting I've been
looking into Springs

for our golf and
whilst doing so I think it

might have stumbled
across an idea because

for not a huge amount
more money than it would

cost to replace all
four Springs on the car I

can actually get a
complete set of coil overs

so Springs and new
shock absorbers to go all

the way around now
that's gonna deal with the

corrosion issues we've
got it's gonna refresh

the entire suspension
but on top of that I can

also lower the car not
by a huge amount 30 or

40 millimeters but it
will change the stance

of the car lowering it
down over those lovely

split rims that Mike
Brewer loves so much

I just don't think I'm gonna tell him just
yet keep it secret I know I've been given

Elvis a hard time about
this VW but he's starting

to persuade me there
could be a niche market for

this rare car if we
can get it looking as it

should at the end of
the day this is a business

so we just need to get
our car as good as it

possibly can be and that
means that we need to

sort out those smelly
knackered tired and

very stained leather
seats I've come to King's

Langley in Hertfordshire
to meet up with an old

friend of mine Tim
who's a specialist leather

restorer with 25 years
experience the process

Tim uses to recolor
the leather is called

canalizing it takes its
name after the Connolly

brothers who supplied
leather seats to Rolls-Royce

and Aston Martin a mess only I think we can
do something with it unfortunately it's not

gonna clean off right
we're gonna end up

damaging the surface
so what we're gonna need

to do is strip it and recoat it and recolor
it okay so what's the first step then first

thing we need to
do is clean it go for it

right so we're gonna
use a specialist leather

cleaner what this does
is it breaks down the

grease and the soiling
so that we can get the

surface leaner oh you
literally cover the whole

seat you don't muck
about no no okay so what

we need to do next
is start agitating it in

oh yeah look at that
it's nice to watch a man

work well it's about
time you did a bit then

just agitate it in yeah
that's it there's some

nasty staining in his
seat isn't there I dread

to think what it is
it looks yeah it's not

pretty it's not pretty
is it do you know what

Tim already it's
starting to look a little

bit better a little bit
better next stage we

need to strip it yep so
we're gonna use what

it's basically an industrial
nail varnish remover

this strong industrial
solvent strips away the

top surface of the
lever which will allow the

fresh pigment to be
absorbed the lever coming

clean off and I gather
that's what you want to

see Tim absolutely oh
that's a proper workout

that is it oh yeah hey that's good right
nice one um next step is it actually yep so

we're gonna have to
figure out what this yellow

actually is right so we're
gonna start with white.

yeah and we're gonna
add yellow yeah and keep

mixing it until we get
this color yeah perfect.

perfect Tim uses
nothing but a set of kitchen

scales and 25 years of
color matching experience

to mix up the perfect
shade it's not quite

there yeah really you
want to go a little bit

further than that
still a little bit too light

look at that it's
already dissing I don't

know where I put it on there that's got to
be it isn't it looks about right it looks

about right to me so there you go that is
what we've ended up with and I challenge

anyone to tell the difference between that
and that so that's the perfect paint match

time for the most important bit of this
transformation right here we go Tim is

about to lay down the
paint this is where the

real craft takes place
the action happens.

using a spray g*n ensures a nice even
distribution of the paint across the lever.

nice one Tim what do you think he did it
really is yellow isn't it I mean it's like

really a lot brighter
than I was expecting to

be honest with you so
that's like it would have

been when it come out
the factory absolutely

so can we take the
masking off yep now we can

well I will say that
is a actually a brilliant

contrast that's kind
of surprised especially

with the yellow
stitching the contrast of

the black and the
yellow it's brilliant that

you have done a
fantastic job it's perfect

for the car I told you
Mike yellow works back

at base I've taken delivery of the new coil
overs I ordered online now I'm really quite

pleased with myself on this one because
I feel like I've taken this car suspension

problems and turned
them to my advantage

for just over 200 pounds
managed to get this

set of brand new coil over suspension legs
for all four corners now 200 pounds not an.

insignificant sum when you talk about the
car that only cost 1350 pounds in the first

but these particular
ones are adjustable even

comes with its own little
C spanner that C spanner

is to adjust this platform here that sits
underneath the coil and can be moved up and

down this threaded
section now what that does

is move the car up or
down the cars ride height

so I'm going to set
this to roughly in the

middle of the shaft
which give me scope to go

up or down when we
finally put the car on

its wheels and we'll
see how it looks the new

coil overs go on the
same way as the old ones

came off so fitting them
to the car is an easy

job I'll adjust the ride
height later well that's

one done three more
to go I'm really looking

forward to seeing how the look of the car
changes with these coil overs on I'm also

really looking forward to
seeing how Mike reacts

to it will its new stance
change his opinion

of this fun happy
little car will Mike still

be happy when I
finally tell him I've spent

200 pounds on it without
asking him I'm trying

to convince Mike that
he needs to get over

his yellow car phobia
as there's money to be

made in this special
edition golf GTI yellow

inside as well a yellow
outside it's horrible

we've managed to make
a few upgrades already

without breaking the bank and I'm not done
yet this car has another ace up its sleeve.

now Mike has made
no secret about the fact

that he does not like
our bright yellow golf

but the one thing he really
did like were these the

BBS split rim alloys and
I love them too they're

gonna be a huge selling
point when we come

to market the car but
they clearly need some

refurbishing like the
yellow seats Volkswagen

used these flashy split
rim alloys to make what

would otherwise be a fairly standard Golf
Cabriolet into a more desirable limited

edition car the split rim alloys exist
more from an ease of manufacture point of

view it was much cheaper
and easier for companies

to manufacture a number
of different wheel designs

by just replacing the
centers and attaching them

to a standard rim I've
had some ideas that might

further enhance the
look of these great alloys

I want to change the
color of the centerpiece by

repainting it and I've
got an idea to Polish

up the outer edge of this rim which will
make it look great but to do that I need to

split them in half these
cool BBS split rims

were popularized in
racing because they were

light strong and versatile
from a manufacturing

perspective each of the
four rims is held together

by 16 bolts that's 64
bolts in total that I need

to undo now the reason
this job takes so long

is that every single
one of these bolts is

painted over so these
tiny little multi spline

tops on the bolts here
which are very fine

anyway are all now
full of paint so you've

got to hammer this tool
in hoping you remove

the paint and the years
of corrosion and it's

not so fixed hardened
into the rim itself that

you can manage to undo it some of them are
working some need a little bit more effort.

I have just stripped
the splines on the head

here which I have
I'm into a world of pain

of trying to think
about how I get that out

stripped bolts like this
can turn the simplest

of jobs into a nightmare
so I've picked up a

few techniques for
getting them turning adding

heat normally does the trick I just can't
get enough purchase on the splines in the

bolt they're just too
ground away thankfully

there's more than one
way to skin a cat let's.

give this a try now this is a Torx headed
bit which as you can see if I compare the

two has less splines on
it but they're bigger and

by hammering that
incredibly hard down through.

the bolt head we might just cut our own
grooves in it and allow ourselves to get

something to turn
on it's a big big if yes

turning with all of the
rims finally unbolted

and taking them around the corner to my
mate Kev's alloy wheel refurbishing workshop

right boys you're right
if I can use the machine

thanks mate I've banked
a few favors with him.

so I've popped round
to cash one in first I'm

using an aqua blaster
it uses a high pressure

water jet to simultaneously
wash blast and etch

the rims ready for a
fresh coat of gloss black

paint well they already look loads better
now that Kev's painted them but this really

is the thing that's gonna set them off I
think diamond cutting this out face this

state-of-the-art computer-controlled
lathe uses lasers to accurately guide its

cutting tool across
the profile of the wheel

is the wheel now sat in
the lathe spinning with

a diamond tip cutter
just taking off a tiny

amount from the
surface first of all to take

out any imperfections any warp that might
have occurred over the years and then to

leave that brilliant
shiny chrome finish

beneath oh look at that
it's absolutely gleaming

and Brewer is gonna love these honestly
quite frankly you should be quite pleased in

yellow and speaking of yellow Mike's back
with the golf seats mate what a lovely job

you've done on those
Tim our lever guru has

done an amazing job I
would rather we left them

a slightly duller color
I preferred them when

they were dirtier
because they weren't so

bright as this it's a
really popular color I

mean listen mate there
were six thousand eight

hundred and sixteen
yellow car registrations

in 2020 making up
naught point four percent of

the entire market on a
minute one of the most

popular colors making
up naught point four

but fifty percent more
than there were in 2019

and yellow was the
ninth most popular color of

all car registrations
the brightness and the

intensity of the color
yellow do provoke some

pretty strong emotions
in people although Elvis

hasn't completely sold
me on yellow cars just

yet I'm always keen
for us to turn a profit

and the fact that our
golf is a ragtop could

just help us achieve that you know in 2003
when that car was new we were buying more

convertible cars than
France Spain and Italy

countries with hotter
and longer summers than

us and that trend still
continues today and I've

been trying to work out
why that would be I can

only think it's because
even back in 2003 if you

had an ordinary car in
one of those countries

when I get hotter summers
it would have come

with air conditioning
and here in the UK we

didn't get air conditioning
the standard until

much later so the only
chance we got of getting

cool and enjoying some
of that summer heat was to

roll back the roof and
that's a trend that still

continues today and
that's why I reckon we're in

a good chance of selling
that convertible golf.

but nobody's gonna
buy it with a broken roof

over to you Elvis
now I yellow VW is the

perfect summertime
car but right now it's not

even really a convertible
because the electric

roof doesn't even open
and that is no good I've

got to fix it because
otherwise how on earth is

Mike Brewer gonna get
out posing in this yellow

beauty now the way this
system was designed was

that VW made it so that
you could only operate

the roof with the engine
switched off but the

key in the ignition now
at the moment when

I put the key in the
ignition sometimes if I

wiggle it around the
power comes on enabling

me to operate the roof
but most of the time it

just doesn't I could
replace the ignition barrel

in the car but that would
come at a cost and mean

I end up with a different
key for the ignition

to the one that I need
to open the car's doors

so I think I can do
better than that with

some simple rewiring
now that the back seats

out and I've got access here I can give an
electrical feed to the roof mechanism still

with a fail-safe but bypassing the key
sensor entirely it's this gray wire down here

that VW used to cut
the power to the roof

when the ignition to
the car went on that was.

their fail-safe now I
think I must be a find

along here the brake
light wire if I can tie

into that and take a feed from it well I've
still got my own fail-safe because the roof

will only be able to be operated with
the driver's foot on the brake pedal itself

the only challenge of
course is finding that

wire on my own operating
the brake pedal at.

the front of the car
whilst using a voltmeter

at the back isn't easy
but years of yoga are

finally paying off I've now just got to cut
the existing wire from the relay and then

solder that onto this
brake light feed to give

the unit power right
let's see if it works.

ignition on foot on the
brake there we go yes

it works which means
this car is genuinely

now a convertible and
we're one step closer to

hitting the open road
with our open top golf.

I persuaded Mike we should take on a rare
special edition golf in his least favorite

color look how yellow that car is that's
horrid you know I can't stand yellow cars.

it was up to me to change his opinion and
now thanks to my low-cost improvements

look at that is absolutely gleaming and an
initially skeptical Mike getting involved

I will say that is a brilliant contrast
especially with the yellow stitching our

special edition convertible
is almost ready to

hit the roads and put
some smiles on people's

faces what I think we've got the stance
of the car just about perfect with that

lower suspension it
sets off these beautiful

split-ring alloys brilliantly
Mike's beautifully

reconnected seats have
completely transformed

the golf's interior but
the exterior paintwork is

still looking tired and flat so my plan is
to bring back its original shine by machine

polishing the entire
car I'm using a very

mild abrasive polishing
compound to remove the

top scratched layer
of clear coat lacquer to

reveal a smoother
brighter finish you can do

this by hand but trust
me this way is quicker

and much easier on
the arms starting to look

really really good in
fact you know everything

we've done to this car
has absolutely worked

from the wheels and
suspension to the interior

and now all the body
work that's absolutely

popping yeah we've given
ourselves the best shot

at getting this car sold
I'm chuffed we've managed

to turn our tired canary
yellow soft top into

a beautiful and desirable
cabriolet and most

importantly it hasn't
broken the bank we paid

just one thousand
three hundred and fifty

pounds for the car the
rear arch repair panels

cost 52 pounds
refurbishing the wheels 240

pounds reconnecting the leather seats 600
pounds new adjustable coil over suspension

200 pounds fitting the
new windscreen 234

pounds giving us a total
spend of two thousand

six hundred and seventy
six pounds money well

spent not least because
I reckon this new

look will finish the
job of winning skeptical

this thing look at the interior that we're
saying it looks like a brand new car in

it certainly does when
I bought this car it

looked like it was left
at the bottom of the

hamsters cage driving
wise it feels so much

different from when I
got it we've put brand

new coil over shocks
on it which actually

were cheaper than I
thought I mean a couple of

hundred quid for all
four lovely so not only

that have we uprated
the suspension in doing

that and fixing it we've also lowered
the starts of the car they're adjustable

so I've been able to drop the car a little
bit over these beautiful split rim alloys.

but the surprise is what you've done to
them I didn't realize you were going to do

that work to them
yeah well it was a great

little process as well
machining them getting

them polished and
then the painting has just

set them off beautifully
new bolts all the way

around I mean it really
does look great and that

suspension not only
looks great and lowering

the starts but it's now really quite pointy
it's not the most powerful car but it feels

responsive you know
when you turn the wheel

in it's honestly it feels
as good as this car

could be and that you
know that's as much as

we can do with it it's
a new day and back at

the workshop I've lined
up one final surprise

for Mike to demonstrate
the joys of yellow cars.

as we arrive back at our
place of work I'm gonna

tell you there is
something about it that I'm

starting to actually
really enjoy it I knew

it of course you are I
mean that's what yellow

cars do they generate
positivity I've been

telling you that well hold
on with your positivity

for the minute because
I still need to work

out a way I'm gonna

particularly nice yellow golf

concept three and a
half color concept we've

redone the suspension
lots of work on the engine

as well and change the
wheels we've also done

uh the interior in fact
I'd done that interior

quite proud of my work
actually did a decent job

well I have to admit this has been a great
and fun car to have through the workshop I

didn't really want to
buy it it was Elvis that

made me go and get
this car after he found it

and then he did the lion share of the
work admittedly I've done the interior

but the majority of the work has been
done by Elvis and you can see his passion

and enthusiasm for this yellow golf
and I never thought I'd say these words

but we made a profit
out of it and you can't say

fairer than that but I
think the most important

thing with Jaws and with Morag we've
put more members into this yellow car club.
