to the African Savanna and...

[screams]

[Alex] I need my beauty sleep.

[Melman] Guess it's

[sighs]

[Wild Wanda] Welcome
back, Nature fanatics.

Today we're visiting
the grassy plains

of the savanna,

home to some of the
wildest animals on earth!

[Melman] Woah!

[Wild Wanda] Here we
have the mighty hippo,

isn't she a beauty?

But watch out,

hippos are among the
most dangerous animals

in the wild!

[Melman] Huh?

[yawning]

[Wild Wanda] But not
nearly as dangerous

as the king of the jungle!

These animals are at the top
of the savanna's food chain.

[snoring]

They're unpredictable,

they're untamable, they're...

[Melman] They're my friends!

[Wild Wanda] Just
a few miles away

we find herds of gentle,
graceful creatures

who thrive with their own kind.

Zebras with zebras, and
giraffes with giraffes.

When these beauties
stick together,

they've got nothing to fear!

[Bill] Melman! You
will never believe!

Huh? Melman!

You will never believe

what Carlos brought
me for breakfast!

[Melman] That's nice, Bill,
but could you keep it down?

I'm watching my show.

[Bill] He brought me
algae, per the usjsh.

[Wild Wanda] If these
little giraffes are lucky,

they'll spend their
entire lives together

without a predator in sight!

[Melman] Bill, can
I ask you something?

[Bill] When's Carlos going
to switch up my breakfast

once and for all,
bring me french toast,

maybe a short stack of
pancakes? Is it too much to ask?

[Melman] No, about the habitat.

There's gotta be other predators
and prey that live together

like we do, right?

[Bill] Doubt it.

I mean, birds of a
feather flock together.

[Melman] But... I don't
have any feathers.

[Bill] Feathers or fur, you
four are quite the odd bunch.

[Melman] I know my friends
and I don't always agree,

but, not every herd is
perfectly in sync, are they?

[Bill] Don't worry.

You will move outta here someday

and you will find your
very own flock to fly with.

Or, whatever giraffes do.

[Melman] Move

I've never thought
of it that way.

[Gloria] Never thought

[Ant'ney] Howdy kids! Billiam.

from the new Butterfly
migration exhibit

at the Brooklyn
Botanical Gardens

and it is a once
in-a-lifetime must-see!

For insect eaters and
casual enthusiasts alike.

[Marty] Butterflies
up close and personal?

Sounds great for
Ranger training!

[Gloria] All those butterflies
in the air at once,

can you imagine?

[Melman] I'd rather not.

One butterfly is bad enough.
Who wants a whole flock of them?

[Gloria] Oh right.

[Alex] We can find

[Dave chattering]

[Pickles] Uh, maybe try that

[spits]

[Melman] I'm going
to meet my new herd!

I'm kinda nervous,
but who knows?

[Dave chattering]

bigger bananas to fry.

Our banana peels lost
their slipperiness

and they were the
perfect skates!

[Dave screams]

could fly thousands of miles?

sounds like a real workout!

[Alex] All I can think about is

with their feet!

[wiggling his paws]

[Gloria] Speaking of

Melman seemed pretty
bummed when we left.

How bout we grab
something from the library

to cheer him up.

been sitting around

waiting for us all day.

[screams]

[Melman] And once
again, Mr. Alligator,

[Bronx gator] No problem.

[giraffe] Huh?

[Melman] My herd! You're
real! And you're beautiful.

[yawns]

[Markus] You're

[Melman] Squeaky
clean! I promise!

[Melanie] In that case,
howdy doo, buckaroo!

[Melman] Howdy. I'm so

that was already our
third nap of the day.

[Mitul] But not our last!

full To-Do list.

[Markus] We've got to take our
bubble baths, paint pictures,

play with trucks,
it's a real grind!

and since I'm sure

terrifying monsters,

I decided to get rid of them!

to find that coffee
shop lullaby station!

that I cleaned the dirt
off your blankies, right?

They were filthy!

Reminded me of Alex's.

[Mitul] You touched my blankie?

[Melanie] That's not how we
do things in our herd, Melman.

[Melman] I'm so
