- Hello, Central Park.

My name is Kate,

and I run the rescue habitat
here, at the zoo.

So if you'd like to meet some of
our youngest and wildest residents,

then why don't you come on in
and get a little wild!

These are very clean hooves!

- And it's not your super cool

It belongs in the Lost & Found.

Which is where it's going
until I can find its rightful owner.

- Interception! Mm-hm.

did not see that coming, folks!

[HUMMING]

[LAUGHING]

and covered in traffic.

Pigeons are flocking in for the
big boat race in Central Park.

I tried flying
over the Long Island Expressway,

but this one pigeon,
she's my third cousin, Amy,

she caused a traffic jam
when she collided with a crow!

It was really more of a feather
-bender than anything.

it is almost time for lunch.

I hope it's growing food.
I'm trying to grow out my coat.

gonna fuel these dance hooves.

Loves: flying dinosaurs,
glow-in-the-dark stars,

- As the lead Park Ranger
on this case,

I won't rest until I get Mr.
Bear into Jakey's arms.

Search all New York City till we find him?
Because if that's the plan, I'm in!

- I do think better
on a full stomach.

- Would you dump the dumplings!

I know how to get Mr. Bear
to Jakey before it's too late.

But I need you all to trust me.

- I trust you, Marty.

[SQUEAKS]

- Vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom!

[GASPS]

One, blast--

- I changed my mind!
I don't trust you!

- Hang on, Melman.

GLORIA: Vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom!

[GROANING]

[SCREAMING IN SLOW MOTION]

[GRUNTS]

[SCREAMING]

[CHUCKLES]

[GASPS]

MELMAN: Yee-haw!

[MELMAN LAUGHING]

[SCREAMING]

GLORIA: There's Jakey!

There goes Jakey!

- It's been real, Mr. Bear.
But it's time for you to go back

to the arms
of your rightful person.

[LAUGHS]

[GRUNTS]

[GASP]

[GASPS AND CHUCKLES]

- Did not see that coming.

- Mr. Bear! How'd you get here?

[GASPS]

That's Mr. Bear.

He's the most special bear
in the whole world.

Hm. Looks like you think so too, huh?
Then there's something you ought to know.

Sometimes he gets these
little lint ba*ls in his ears

that you need to clean out.

Oh, and he likes to sleep
with a night light.

Take care of him for me, okay?

- Okay.

[SIGHS]

- Hmm!

- Whoa, whoa!

This is not how it was supposed
to go down!

Mr. Bear was supposed to land
in Jakey's arms, saving the day,

and ensuring Jakey
had a good night's sleep.

I thought I knew everything about Jakey.
I thought he loved Mr. Bear.

- Maybe Jakey just thought it was
time for someone else to love him.

Maybe he
doesn't need Mr. Bear anymore.

- Or maybe Bill the Flamingo
was right.

Maybe I'm not cut out
to be a Ranger Horse.

ALEX: You're not.

- Huh?
- You're a zebra.

And someday you're gonna make
a really great Ranger Zebra.

[SIGHS]

- We better go before Melman
misses his bath.

- I think Marty just gave up
on never giving up.

[LAUGHING]

[MARTY GRUNTS]

- We're investigating
a dumpling incident at the park.

Dumpling Dan's business is booming!

Now everyone wants to try
his new flying dumplings.

Looks like Mr. Bear
is back where he belongs.

I didn't complete the mission.
Mr. Bear is not with Jakey.

- Wasn't your mission to get Mr.
Bear to his rightful kid?

Those two look pretty right to
me. People change.

Sometimes kids
go from bears to boats.

GLORIA: That's what I said!

- But you stayed the course.
You never gave up.

And now, Mr. Bear
is where he needs to be.

- So you're saying I still have
a shot as a Park Ranger Horse?

- Off the top of my head,
I'd say you have a pretty good chance.

- Thanks,
but I think it's too big.

You'll grow into it.

- Ma'am, yes, ma'am!

[CHUCKLES AND CHEERS]

- Well, buddy, that looks
like a mission accomplished.

- Make some room. I want in on that!

KATE: I'm back!

[GASP]

You wouldn't believe the day I had.
One of the baby hedgehogs got out.

She hitched a ride
on a backpack.

Whew! We finally found her
poking around the snack stand.

I'm just happy she didn't
make it out of the zoo.

Can you imagine,
animals getting out of the zoo?

[CHUCKLES]

Come on, let's tuck it in.

about that "never give up" stuff.

I never gave up on the dumplings,
and they never gave up on me.

- Everything in its place.

- Two egg rolls, please.
- Make sure to get fried rice.
