today with flour,
and the idea is to apply
white paste on the fabric,
and when I let it dry, I'm gonna crack it.

I thought there was a perfect
throughline in your runway look
into your accessible look.

I was really impressed
with the very sculptural one
that came out first as your runway look.

I thought of it as kind of
a wedding dress, actually, even,
and I thought of the gold belt
like the wedding band.
I actually preferred your accessible look.

The beautiful back bow and the tying
and how it all came through.
I see the throughline

I feel like there's a preconceived
notion of what evening wear is.
You usually think elongated gowns
and, you know, dramatic ruffles
and things like that,
but for the Ciara Chyanne woman,
the evening is a little bit
more effortless and chic.
She is the woman who is from age 24 to 42.
- I can't wear it anymore?
- No! I mean, hey, that is...
I know...
I feel like you wanna focus
on your niche...
I like that it was, like, 42.
Like, really specific.
I can't wear it anymore.
That's not fair.
No.
I think it's always important
to stay true to your brand,
you know,
and your version of evening wear.
I had mixed feelings about this.
I love the color.
I love the chartreuse and I love
that with the baby pink and the lilac,
that mixture together was yummy.
For me, what was hard,
both were not really cohesive.
They came from two different worlds,
they just used the same fabric.
You clearly had some fit issues
with this press dart.
The side of the pants.
Satin just screams at you.
It's unforgiving to sew,
so you have to be perfect with it.
It just kind of made that one
feel a little like... wah wah.
Right.
I feel two ways.
The first look was for one girl,
and the second look, like,
I just felt like it was a different girl,
but I did like your first look,
I really did.
And hearing you and hearing
where your inspiration is coming from,
and understanding that
you want your girl to be effortless,
I actually feel all of that
in the first look.

Yes, so I have
a festival-inspired clothing line
that definitely gets inspiration
from the '60s and '70s,
vintage fabrics, vintage textiles.
I had mixed feelings about both looks.
You do have a very good eye
on putting all these beautiful textures
and colors together
because it did have
a very beautiful ombre effect.
I think I like the jumpsuit
a little bit more than the two-piece.
I just wanted a little bit more.
I am like you.
I draw most of my inspiration
through vintage.
I love vintage.
It's important to draw inspiration
from vintage
without being so on the nose
because it can go "costume" so quick,
and the challenge was evening.
Your piece came out
and it just screamed daytime to me,
and so I didn't necessarily connect.
I could definitely see where
it very much could read daytime
rather than evening wear.
To me, festival means anything goes,
having some kind of gorgeous gown,
walking around some dusty festival.
I'm totally in there,
but it didn't feel urgent,
and that's what has to happen
with fashion... it has to feel urgent.
Even with this beautiful ombre
and this, you know,
passion for the textiles,
I kind of was already lost there.
You have to have more of a vision.
You did not get all your bells
and your whistles out
for the first look
to really show us who you are.
I-I really, I loved the pieces,
and I hate that you guys didn't.
