And, Melissa,
I'm figuring you feel right at home here.

It smells good.

Now,

everybody knows
this is barbwire.

It's been around
since the 1800s,

and once farmers had this,
it changed farming forever.

They could contain livestock
like they never could before.

As you can see,
there are two incomplete pens behind you.

Your job is to finish
the two sections of fence

using four wooden posts,
eight metal T-posts,

four lines of barbed
wire and a gate,

all under the watchful eye
of ranch manager Dwight.

Good morning.

Your fence needs to be straight

and the barbed wire
needs to be tight.

No sagging wire,
just like those sections

of finished fence over there.

All the supplies you needare
back there at the farm shed.

To get them,
you've got a Ford Super Duty truck.

When you hear the
work whistle blow,

you're gonna go
looking for your keys,

which are hidden in
the haystacks over here.

First team to get all thefencing
done and close the gate,

you win the $12,000 and
today's Badge of Honor.

Right now,
the team score stands at one win apiece.

There are six team
challenges left and in the end,

the team with the
most wins overall

will get a cash bonus prize

of $60,000.

That's $10,000 each,

so make every
team challenge count.

I do drive a lot of posts

and put up forest service signs.

The post hole digger,
it's good to get

the soil out of the hole,

but the auger is really
gonna dig deeper.

Very tough ground
to get through.

Ground is very hard.

Jam it down, pull the dirt out,
keep jamming down.

It's all upper body strength.

So it gonna take a lot
of energy out of you.

so that the orange
mark is covered up.

Out of the individual

it's all about
working for her team.

my confidence was extremely low.

However, I am crew boss today,
so I'm going to give it my all.

what are the sort of key factors

- to getting the job done right?-Well,

You want to make
sure that the line of the fence

doesn't have to be
perfectly straight,

but it needs to be pretty close.

- So getting that straight line, that's-that's key?

and he got a big advantage.

I worry because I don't
want Murph to be able

to disadvantage me.

It just takes one
mistake to lose.

And then overtime's
gonna be tough

no matter who's in it.

Melissa builds fences
every frickin' day.

We were not that far behind.

I don't want to
lose any more jobs,

because I don't want you
to lose any more money.

That's important to me.

Since Linnett's out
of the individual competition,

her only way to win money

is during the team challenges.

Anytime that we don't succeed

to the limit,
I feel that same way, too, and...

I feel like the team
wasn't actually listening

to each other.

And the thing is, Tara,

I feel like you
weren't listening,

and we were standing
around trying to wait on...

what you wanted us to do.

I wasn't the leader today.

Half the group

We just need to
learn to listen to each other.

I've been curious to
know everyone's reasoning

behind why you

to irrigate this field.

When the work whistle blows,
you're gonna go

to the far end of the field,
where you'll find

eight 40-foot sections
of irrigation pipe,

weighing about 75 pounds each.

Roll each section
of pipe onto the field

and clamp them together to
create an irrigation system.

Your job will be done when
you can turn on the water

and the sprinklers
are sprinkling

without any leaks.

However,
there's a little bit of a twist.

You're gonna be
working in pairs.

- Oh... - The losing pair

goes into overtime,

and then one of you
will be punching out,

joining Melissa and Linnett.

Now, Murph,

I told you that after winning
the last individual challenge,

you would have a power,
and your power today...

...is to pair everybody up.

It's gonna be a tough decision.

Not only do you have to think

about who you're
gonna be working with,

but you've got to
also be thinking

about who everybody
else is paired up with.

about the power.

so there won't be too much

in place because
of the strong winds.

Our first pipe was a struggle.

If Young pulls up too much,
mine goes down.

And if I pull up too much,
his end goes down.

And I knew right then that
we had our work cut out for us.

It's kind of
hard trying to roll it.

Linda and Luis
got a clear lead right now.

Danny and
Murph also close behind.

Everybody doing

because they're coming
to the water source first.

In my line of work,
every motion has a purpose.

That's really our strategy.

you put them together then so that

you don't got to come back
andput 'em all together at the end.

This feels really
good to team up with Danny.

He reminds me of some of

my younger Marines that I used to,
to work with.

I often had to take apart

and reinstall irrigation pipes,

so I at least feel
comfortable in this realm.

The hardest
part of the whole challenge

is trying to get the
connections made.

Part of the strategy was

do connections as we went.

Get a breather and run again.
