MY ENCOUNTER WITH EVIL

that things find their way.

JESSICA'S MOTHER

Everything happens for a reason.

I understand that now.

When I was in direct contact

with Asmodeus,

he revealed to me that Jessica was chosen

by them ever since she was very young.

Jessy was being disturbed by entities,

so I had to look into what was going on.

I had to check on

both mother and daughter,

since they were living in the same house

and being disturbed by the same entity.

Sully had altars in her house

with the Virgin Mary and the archangels.

and he helped me

follow the path of Theistic Satanism.

The pact with a demon such as Asmodeus

brings only doom,

destruction and vexation.

the archangel.

He is the one who defeats the Devil,

according to the Catholic tradition.

The girls were given a bath

with certain types of leaves.

That bath was said to

cleanse them of bad energy.

And, that way, they would be calmer.

That was something Pablo and I

didn't know how to handle.

And we drifted apart.

That was when we asked

Alejandrina for help.

I've been involved with for some time,

but I never thought

it would affect my family.

I've been a Wiccan since 2012.

We believe in duality,

in a god and a goddess.

One cannot exist without the other.

In the apartment where they were living,

the girls have to become pagan

or have to start practicing pagan rituals.

It will never let us go.

Evil is real,

but a decision of our own.

neither crucifixes nor salt

have the power on their own.

You give them power through faith.

Your faith is what defeats him.

It was decided that the exorcism

would be performed

in Father Basilio's church.

- [footsteps approaching]

There was still no immediate permission

from the bishop,

but they couldn't wait any longer.

[Concepción sobbing]

[groans loudly]

[men straining]

[Concepción continues groaning]

The Father was prepared

with what exorcist priests need

to fight the Devil.

Exorcised oil, exorcised salt,

exorcised holy water,

his stole, his habit.

As well as a small bell

and an ancient relic of a saint.

- [Concepción growling]

[man groans]

[tires squealing]

[all grunting]

[Concepción] They told me

I had amazing strength.

They couldn't restrain me.

CONCEPCIÓN'S DAUGHTER

They just couldn't restrain her.

She was just so strong. Too strong.

[growling]

[tense music continues]

[Concepción breathing rapidly]

My uncle laid his hands on her.

And he told me

that she was indeed possessed by a demon.

[suspenseful music playing]

[tires squealing]

by what he was hearing.

What I can remember is what I read

directly from the Father's journal,

as well as what he told me.

Halfway through the Latin prayer,

she passed out

and completely lost consciousness.

You defeated this ancient enemy.

May she receive God's grace,

and free her from evil.

Father laid his hands on my mother,

praying above her head.

The way to expel the Devil

is through prayer, praying.

That's how he's weakened.

[breathing heavily]

[eerie string music playing]

[faint growling]

[dramatic sting]

[Andrea] The large crucifix fell.

My mom had begun showing a great deal

of aversion to religious symbols.

[cackling]

[snarls]

[growling]

[sinister music playing]

[speaking in Latin]

[Andrea] The father continued praying

and giving the orders

through the Roman liberation ritual,

giving commands for the demon to leave.

[eerie music playing]

[Basilio shouting in Latin]

[rope straining]

[Basilio continues shouting in Latin]

[sinister whooshing, growling]

The only consistent way to expel a demon

is through its name.

Say your name.

[Andrea] And at that climactic moment,

the demon was prepared to come out.

This had been

my mother's strongest episode.

[tense music playing]

I command you to say your name!

Beelzebub!

Once the demon was weakened,

he said his name.

When demons become weakened,

they will say their names.

You have no power over this woman!

She does not want you

inside of her anymore!

[groans]

[growling]

Concepción expels you!

- [gasps]

- [music fades]

- [fire crackling]

- [people screaming in distance]

[girl] Mama.

Are you okay?

[Óscar] Conce.

- [girl] What happened?

- [Óscar] Conce.

- [shudders]

- [girl] Mama. What happened?

- [Óscar] Concepción. Concepción.

- [girl] Are you okay? What happened?

[retches]

Then, my mom began throwing up.

- [retching]

- [dramatic choral music playing]

[metal rattling]

[gasps softly]

The vomit came out

in the shape of a chain.

[ethereal choral music playing]

[Concepción shudders]

[sobbing]

God appeared before me in that moment.

Just like Father said.

My child.

"In the way Satan took possession of you,

of your body."

"God does not need to possess you."

"With the simple fact that you saw Him,

your faith will grow much stronger

and you will become a stronger person."

[music fades]

Throughout the writing process

for this book,

I've continued to experience

paranormal activity.

I felt, heard, and saw

the presence of the entity.

[eerie music playing]

I think this entity didn't want

this book to come out

and bring its actions to light.

[suspenseful music playing]

[dramatic sting]

[music building]

[Ruth] Some things can be forces of good,

others not so good.

PSYCHIATRIS

Nothing can be perfectly good.

Nor can anything be entirely evil.

[jarring music plays]

Not everything in life will be positive.

And it's our job as people

to figure out a way

DISSOCIATIVE DISORDER

to achieve the right balance

between the good and the bad.

POSSESSION

How can we tolerate

when things aren't right

and when things take a turn for the worst?

[jarring music plays]

So we can't always be

on one side of the spectrum.

Otherwise, we can't function properly.

When it comes to possession,

anyone can be possessed,

as we are preyed on for our weaknesses

by some outside force.

[on-screen] Most holy blessed Trinity,

sovereign and eternal God,

deliver us from the prisons

and sentences of hell.

These forces include

rituals, shamans, witches.

[jarring music plays]

Those who toy with or summon spirits

using spiritism,

the Ouija board, invocation,

or have experienced places

that are not safe, spiritually.

An entity attaches itself to a person

by whatever means necessary,

and a person becomes possessed.

[on-screen] Father, I call upon you

to return this creature,

and you will bear all the evil

that it was sent to conduct.

[off-screen] It's ultimately

a personal decision.

"The forces of evil exist."

"We have to live together," as Jesus says.

But Jesus also gives us the tools

and the strength to maintain balance.

I'm not afraid to say it.

I'm open to say

that I'm afraid of being attacked.

We made a pact, my mom and I.

We agreed to be a part of them.

But it's still a feeling of peace.

After feeling so distant,

after feeling so lost,

I finally found myself

and realized who I was.

[Sully] We're very happy.

And, well, now we're in this situation,

we are Theistic Satanists.

And we understand what that demon is,

their mission, their view of us.

And now, it's up to us to get to know them

and see the other side of the coin,

what Satanism truly is,

that we love Lucifer.

I'm married to a demon named Seth.

[dramatic sting]

She made a pact, an alliance,

and married a demon.

The demon will help her

for the rest of her life.

Or for five to ten years,

depending on the contract.

And she will prosper.

Things will get better for her.

- [Emma] Ten.

[off-screen] This situation

made me feel weak.

And sad.

As if everything was dark.

And, soon after,

with everyone's help, we found the light.

[gentle music playing]

In the end, we won.

In the end, it didn't get us.

And it still can't

because I know it's still trying.

[Concepción] This was a fight

between the Devil and God.

And my decision was to follow God.

I will follow Him

until it is my time to meet Him again.

And until then,

I will never stop following Him.

[gentle music continues]

[Esther] What saved my mom?

Her faith, her faith in God.

In fact, my mom is a catechist.

She gives the Word of God to children.

She remembers

how she could've lost or died,

and yet here she is, stronger than ever.

My mother is a warrior.

But she wasn't always this way.

It wasn't easy for her

to get to where she is now.

[Jessica] I don't have any intentions

of hurting anyone. Not at all.

No one can do anything to me.

But, even the slightest bit of harm

someone tries to inflict on me,

well, there'd be consequences. [chuckles]
