At 12.9 kilometres, it crosses
the northumberland strait.
Lobster fishing
in these waters
Is a key industry
for both provinces.
Now lobster fishing from
the confederation bridge
Seems like a stretch.
You would have to get
much closer to the ocean
If you wanna get your
hands on a lobster trap.
Which is exactly
what you'll be doing
In our first
ultimate challenge.

I'm intimidated
and I'm nervous,
But we just need to keep on
top and take it right home.
Welcome to canada's ultimate
lobster haul.
For this intense challenge,
One player from each
team must rappel
A death defying 130 feet off the
landmark confederation bridge
To the cold
atlantic ocean below.
At sea level,
The player must quickly hook
a 50 pound lobster trap.
Then the rest of the team
must use their combined force
To hoist their teammate
and the heavy lobster trap
Eleven stories back up
to the bridge deck.
Teams must strategize the best
way to position themselves
And the technique
to efficiently use
The self-locking
rope and pulley rig.
The fastest team to haul
their lobster trap up
And hit the big red
button wins one big point.
Coaches, it's strategy time!

minutes to decide
Which player will rappel
down to the water
And how the rest of the
team will haul them back up.

fundy mud sled-and-slide!
The second team challenge
of this championship round
Is a muddy pursuit
across the ocean floor.
The goal is to capture
the other team's flag,
Which is attached to a pole
at the back of each mud sled.
Teams will start
on opposite ends
Of a 100-metre oval course with
one player seated in a sled.
The other three
players must push
And race their sleds
around the oval.
Only the seated player is
allowed to snag the flag.
It will take a solid
strategy, strength
And some serious stamina
To keep moving through
this thick and sticky mud.

The final obstacle.
With rocky cliffs stretching
over 145 feet high
And named for its
turbulent waters,
This is new brunswick's
famed cape enrage.
Gilmore:
Coming back from
that last challenge,
That wasn't us.
Our team is ready to
bring that intensity.
We've been the best
this whole season
And we gotta prove why.
Luke:
If we treat it like we
treated the mudslide
With the intensity and the
urgency and the execution,
Versus when we were all
individuals on the bridge,
That's gonna be the
difference between us
Either taking
home the trophy
Or sitting there watching

Coaches, players, welcome.
After seven rounds and
22 ultimate challenges
You've made made it
to the last obstacle.
Whoever conquers
this final obstacle
Will be our very
first champion.
The winner will get to hoist
The official canada's
ultimate challenge trophy
For the first time ever.
Nikki:
And they'll also win
the ultimate prize:
A vip trip to cheer

At the olympic games,

We know what we need to
do and we're gonna do it.
Vinny:
We're gonna make sure that
nothing's gonna distract us
And I am very confident
we're gonna take it home.
Now, I want you to think back
To the zipline in the yukon,
To kelowna and the cargo
net at trestle trip,
To the slackline from
towering trees in hinton
And to our high
ropes course
Suspended above the
squamish valley.
Nikki:
To win the championship
You'll have to conquer
those four obstacles again
In an epic relay ropes course
that spans over 480 feet
Of the unforgiving
cape enrage cliffside.
Welcome to canada's ultimate
cape cliffhanger.
For our final
ultimate obstacle,
The coaches must first
strategically place
Each of their players
at four starting spots
On the jagged cliff face.
To start the course,
Player one climbs
up an unsteady
And shaky rope ladder
and cargo net.
This player also acts as
the baton between sections,
Tagging their teammates
before they can attempt
Their section of the course.
Player two must traverse
140 feet across the zipline
To ring a bell,
Then pull themselves
all the way back.
Player three takes the
narrow 80 foot slackline
Across to ring the
bell and travel back.
The final player must
launch themselves
Across the most difficult
part of the course,
An 80 foot zipline,
A swinging plank and
five hanging discs
To hit the gong and
stop the clock.
The fastest team
wins three points
And will be the champions of
canada's ultimate challenge.
Coaches, it's strategy time.
You now have five minutes
to decide which player
Will take on which
part of this relay.

Here's where my head

Is unfortunately he
was on the other team

slackline.

tremendous climber

with both her lower

as movements go.

legs as much as I can

a zip as I can.

there's not enough speed

To kind of keep moving
and moving and moving.
