Ritsu: Hearts are like guitar strings.

Ritsu: They won't play sounds if they're too loose.

Ritsu: You have to wind them up until they're about to break,

Ritsu: and that's when they become a wave that hits your ear drums.

Ritsu: The first time I got on stage, not only did I suck, I also got stage fright.

Ritsu: I messed up so bad.

Ritsu: But it was so thrilling.

Ritsu: How could I have ever forgotten something so simple?

Ritsu: I'm in love.

Ritsu: I feel like I'm gonna cry.

Dad: What?!

Dad: No, wait, Yayoi!

Ritsu: Dad?

Ritsu: What the hell are you doing?!

Yayoi: Can't you tell? I got dumped!

Dad: Huh? You were seeing someone?!

Yayoi: It was totally unrequited!

Dad: Are you going to cry? Are you?!

Yayoi: I'll find an even better guy, damn it!

Yayoi: Bring it on!

Ritsu: K-Kaji-san dumped her?!

Ritsu: F-For real?!

Yayoi: I jokingly asked him out, and he turned me down gently.

Yayoi: I'm gonna die.

Ritsu: She mentioned being dumped once before, but...

Dad: Y-Yayoi!

Ritsu: It seems like it's pretty serious this time.

Ritsu: Man, being in love must be rough.

Ritsu: Love?

Ritsu: Hm?

Ritsu: Wait a damn minute!

Ritsu: That show was so intense that I ended up back at home

Ritsu: without remembering a huge chunk of what happened in between...

Ritsu: Did I actually kiss Mafuyu?

Ritsu: Oh, sh*t.

Ritsu: How does Mafuyu feel about me, anyway?

Op: Everything that you left behind

Op: Became my everything

Op: The wound pierced into my heart

Op: Still remains as the days continue to go by

Op: If I were to forcibly take it out, the pain would never end

Op: So I'll just leave it there

Op: Rainy, sunny, and cloudy days

Op: Spring, summer, fall, and winter

Op: days a year

Op: You're there in all of them

Op: Reach in deep

Op: And while you're at it, take away my memories, too

Op: The voices that can't be heard

Op: Are strangling me again

Op: Dig deep

Op: And look at the pain within me

Op: Everything that you left behind

Op: Became my everything

Op: Everything that you left behind

Op: Became my life

Ita: What? You were at the concert, too, Waka-san?

Waka: I'd never been to a place like that before, so I had my boyfriend take me.

Ita: You have a boyfriend?!

Waka: Yeah. We went to middle school together.

Ita: Wow, so you both went to middle school with Sato?

Waka: Yeah...

Waka: My boyfriend was kinda surprised to see that side of Sato.

Waka: I was surprised, too.

Waka: Because... I had a pretty good idea of what that song meant.

Waka: So when Sato-kun yelled,

Waka: I felt shivers racing up from the soles of my feet,

Waka: and I couldn't take it anymore.

Waka: I was lucky enough to have someone next to me to hold my hand,

Waka: but Sato-kun was standing on the stage all on his own...

Waka: I can't imagine how much courage that took.

Waka: I just couldn't take it anymore.

Waka: I would love to hear him sing again.

Ita: I know, right?

Ita: You guys got your next show planned ye—

Ita: Uenoyama?!

Ita: What's wrong? What k*lled you?!

Ueki: Is he burnt out from yesterday?

Ita: Poke, poke.

Ueki: Hey, stop that.

Ita: Poke, poke, poke, poke...

kasai: Speaking of burning out, I heard Sato-kun is absent today, too.

Ueki: Hey.

Waka: Huh?

Kasai: He must've been so spent that he ended up getting sick.

Kasai: Why don't you go check on him, Uenoyama-kun?

Sign: Ritsuka Uenoyama

Sign: Heard Mafuyu got a fever so I'm gon gonna check on him and then head over.

Haru: Gah.

Haru: He's like the one kid who'd always get a fever after a field trip...

Haru: Heya.

Haru: Wait, are you working right now?

Take: Just stopping by during my commute.

Take: Could I get a nice, cold iced coffee?

Haru: As you wish.

Take: Haruki, Haruki.

Haru: Huh? What's this?

Take: Yesterday's show.

Take: I edited the video and audio from your song. Here you go.

Haru: Squee! Take-chan!

Take: Well, are you delighted or what?

Haru: Wait, the show was last night! You managed to edit this already?!

Haru: Did you even sleep?! Are you okay?!

Take: When I got home, I started watching that and went a little crazy.

Take: I couldn't stop editing until I was done. It was like I was possessed.

Haru: No, seriously! Thank you! How can I ever repay you?!

Take: Play another show.

Haru: Huh?

Take: I know I said I went a little crazy editing that,

Take: but actually... I think I was just hit with your band's passion.

Take: I want to see where you guys go from here.

Take: You react in a really cute way, you know that?

Take: Wait, I feel like I just tried to make a pass at you...

Haru: S-Sorry...

Take: Anyway, that really is the only reason I stopped by.

Take: I'll head out after I finish this.

Haru: Take-chan!

Aki: Sorry to interrupt.

Haru: W-Wait! You've got the wrong idea!

Aki: About what?

Haru: He gave me a video! A video! Of our performance yesterday!

Sign: Mafuyu Sato

Sign: Is your fever okay?

Sign: I think so

Sign: Want me to bring you something to eat after school?

Sign: That's okay

Sign: I don't mind

Sign: Okay Thanks

Sign: Sure School's out, so I'll head over now

Ritsu: I-It's super awkward after what happened yesterday,

Ritsu: but I was worried, so here I am at his house...

Ritsu: Since I came all this way, I'm just gonna have to go in there now...

Nar: Uenoyama came to a conclusion.

Nar: "Whatever. If I'm gonna die, might as well go while I'm still young."

Ritsu: Uh, hey... Are you all ri—

Mafu: Hi.

Mafu: Come on in.

Mafu: It's a bit messy, though...

Ritsu: 'Kay.

Ritsu: Oh, God! This whole house smells like Mafuyu!

Ritsu: I can't take it! I should go home!

Mafu: Come on, now, Tama. Come here.

Ritsu: Why'd you give it a cat's name?

Mafu: His name is Kedama. He's happy to see you.

Ritsu: Damn it!

Mafu: You're not coming in?

Ritsu: Here. I brought these for you.

Ritsu: I'm going home right after this.

Ritsu: I only came to check on you since you said your mom wasn't here.

Ritsu: Hey! Don't just collapse in the hallway.

Ritsu: I'll at least walk you to your bed, okay?

Ritsu: But I'm going home right after.

Ritsu: I'll leave the drinks here, and I'll put the pudding in the fridge.

Mafu: You're going home?

Ritsu: Yes, I am. I'd just be in the way here.

Ritsu: You need to sleep.

Mafu: You can stay a little longer.

Ritsu: You're surprisingly pushy, you know that?

Mafu: Just five more minutes...

Ritsu: Tch.

Ritsu: Mafuyu.

Ritsu: Your lyrics from yesterday... I don't really remember them that well.

Ritsu: Was that a song about heartbreak?

Mafu: Yeah.

Mafu: Next time... I want to write a different song.

Ritsu: Next time, huh?

Ritsu: He's actually giving thought to what comes next.

Ritsu: The Mafuyu that was unleashed by that song yesterday was amazing.

Ritsu: Even though the last thing I wanted to hear from him was a love song,

Ritsu: he blew me away.

Ritsu: Where could he have possibly stored all that sadness in that skinny body of his?

Ritsu: If there is a next time... I want it to be me.

Haruki: Okay, so...

Haru: Great job at the show!

Haru: Also, congrats on feeling better, Mafuyu.

Haru: On that note...

Haru: Cheers!

Aki: Yeah!

Mafu: Cheers!

Haru: By the way...

Haru: Do you know what this is, my fellow citizens?

Haru: Indeed. It's footage from our recent show.

Haru: Anyway, the USB drive was just for dramatic effect.

Haru: It's already on this laptop, so you can view it in all its glory.

Song: Snow that hasn't completely melted

Sign: Summer Camp

Both: We're moving!

Song: In the shade

Both: I know, right?

Haru: Also, apparently, someone I know who runs his own venue

Haru: also saw our performance.

Haru: He was wondering if we'd want to play a show there, too.

Ritsu: Where is it?

Haru: In Shibuya, y'know... the place where my senpai had a solo gig.

Ritsu: That place is pretty huge!

Aki: We'd be the opening act, then.

Mafu: Opening?

Aki: We'd be performing before the main act.

Haru: Do you wanna do it?

Ritsu: Well—

Mafu: Yes!

Haru: Well, I mean, we sort of came together willy-nilly and put on a live show,

Haru: but we haven't really talked about our direction

Haru: or where we want to go from here, right?

Ritsu: True.

Haru: What do you want to do from now on, or rather, what do you want us to be?

Ritsu: Did he even understand the question?

Mafu: It was really hot.

Mafu: Much hotter than I'd imagined.

Mafu: The lights on the stage were so hot.

Mafu: I don't really remember anything else.

Mafu: I was just thinking about how I was actually allowed to say that much.

Mafu: I can't describe that feeling very well.

Mafu: I want to do another show.

Mafu: I want to experience that feeling again.

Mafu: Also, I want to write another song.

Haru: Okay, got it.

Haru: Let's stop ordering meat for a sec.

Haru: First off...

Haru: What the hell is our band name?

Ritsu: That's where we gotta start.

Haru: When it was just the three of us, we were going by "the seasons."

Haru: That's what we used for the show the other day, too.

Ritsu: Since all of our names have a season in them.

Aki: It's as simple as it gets.

Haru: But we're a completely different band now that we have four,

Haru: so I thought it'd be a good idea to change our name.

Haru: More importantly, I found out recently

Haru: that there are a bunch of other bands with similar names.

Ritsu: Couldn't we just change part of it?

Ritsu: We could be, like, "something-or-other season."

Ritsu: A lot of bands add colors or words or other stuff they like.

Haru: Hmm...

Haru: Hey, Mafuyu, is there a word you'd want to add to it?

Haru: Anything that pops into your head?

Mafu: Maybe "give"?

Mafu: My dead boyfriend's mom gave me this guitar.

Mafu: At first, it almost felt like a curse,

Mafu: but it was basically my new start.

Aki: Hmm... "Give," huh?

Haru: Huh? No snarky comment?

Aki: Give... Seasons...

Aki: Put them together and you get "geavens"...

Aki: Maybe "given"?

Haru: Hey, not bad. It's short, too.

Ritsu: No arguments here.

Ritsu: Okay, that's settled. Let's order more meat now.

Mafu: Wait, it's decided just like that?

Aki: That's what happened last time, too. I'm getting salted tongue.

Ritsu: Who cares? We all agreed on it.

Ritsu: I hear a lot of bands pick their names based on whatever they have around.

Ritsu: If we went with that now, we'd be called "salted tongue."

Haru: Let's make an account with our name as "given."

Aki: We're counting on you, Haruki.

Haru: Let's put up our live footage on a video site, too.

Ritsu: We're counting on you, Haruki-san.

Haru: Let's enter ourselves in some stuff.

Mafu: Haruki-san.

Haru: Fine! I'll do it!

Haru: But just so you know, we're dividing up the work later!

All: Rock, paper, scissors!

Ita: I want yakisoba bread!

Ueki: I'll take any kind of rice ball.

Ita: What about you, Mafuyu?

Mafu: Tea.

Ritsu: Yeah, sure.

Ita: Oh, and get me a Hypercup. A vanilla one.

Ritsu: Okay, fine!

Mafu: Is it your bicycle, Itaya-kun?

Ita: Nope.

Ueki: We don't know who the original owner is.

Mafu: You don't?

Ita: That bicycle's been handed down for generations,

Ita: since before we even started at this school.

Ita: You may also use it when you want to go to the convenience store, Mafuyu.

Mafu: Thanks.

Ueki: Sato, are you feeling better now?

Mafu: Yup. I was all better after I slept.

Ita: Your show was insane!

Ita: Ueki was crying, even.

Ueki: Stop exaggerating.

Aki: Is there a certain genre you want to hear?

Mafu: I'm not really sure.

Mafu: I want to hear all kinds of things.

Aki: Okay, I'll compile a random playlist.

Aki: Would a CD work for you?

Mafu: Yes, thank you.

Hiiragi: Hey.

Mafu: What?

Shizu: Heading home from practice?

Mafu: Yeah.

Mafu: Which one of these strings won't break?

Hiiragi: Huh? There's no such thing.

Mafu: Oh.

Hiiragi: What? Why?

Mafu: Because mine broke the other day, even though I'd just changed them.

Hiiragi: Huh?

Hiragi: You got razors in your fingers or what?

Mafu: Of course not.

Hiiragi: You gonna continue with your band?

Mafu: Yup.

Mafu: We're going to do another show, too.

Hiiragi: Well, I guess I wouldn't mind checking it out if I have time.

Mafu: Nah, that's okay.

Hiiragi: Huh?

Mafu: You don't have to come if you don't want.

Hiiragi: Wha—

Mafu: Well, you just said you were busy.

Hiragi: I just said I'd go if I have time!

Hiiragi: Damn it... He's so not cute.

Shizu: Hiiragi.

Shizu: Were you able to talk to Mafu—

Hiiragi: I'm so happy Mafuyu was able to sing!

Shizu: I'm glad you guys can talk normally now.

Hiiragi: Huh? What are you—

Hiiragi: Just shut up.

Aki: I'm home!

Aki: It's so nice and cool in here!

Ugetsu: I've officially debuted the air conditioner.

Ugetsu: What are you smirking about, Akihiko?

Aki: What?

Ugetsu: Something got you all worked up?

Sign: "Winter Story"

ugetsu: Huh... I guess you upload your own live footage nowadays.

Ugetsu: I thought all band guys were low-tech.

Aki: What do you think?

Ugetsu: It's not bad, but it's not great, either.

Ugetsu: I know what it sounded like live, so this really doesn't compare.

Ugetsu: You don't even get /th of what it sounded like live.

Aki: Don't say that.

Ugetsu: Music is all about seeing the actual live performance.

Ugetsu: I mean... it's not bad, though.

Aki: Gee, thanks.

Ugetsu: No, seriously, it's not bad at all.

Aki: Ugetsu, did you eat yet?

Ugetsu: But that's why it's such a waste.

Aki: If you don't mind yakisoba, I'll make some for you, too.

Ugetsu: This kid could really be big if he had the right kind of trigger...

Sign: Noborito

Ritsu: It's sorta nerve-racking being alone with him...

Mafu: Uenoyama-kun,

Mafu: after this, do you...

Ritsu: What?

Mafu: ...have any plans?

Ritsu: No, I don't...

Ritsu: What? If you have something to say, out with it.

Ritsu: Is there somewhere you want to go?

Ritsu: Get your sh*t together, me!

Ritsu: If I'm too pushy, he's going to think I'm overbearing!

Ritsu: I mean, I don't have the money to go very far,

Ritsu: but I'll take you wherever you want.

Mafu: Really?

Ritsu: I can't anymore... I just contradicted myself.

Ritsu: So... why did we come to Yokohama Minato Mirai?

Ritsu: What does he want here?

Ritsu: Huh?!

Ritsu: Hey!

Ritsu: What the hell?!

Ritsu: Hey! Don't be a psycho and jump into the ocean or something!

Ritsu: Mafuyu!

Mafu: Isn't Minato Mirai amazing?

Mafu: This is my first time here.

Ritsu: I've come here a few times before for school stuff...

Mafu: Huh...

Mafu: Seems like a popular date spot.

Ritsu: You—

Mafu: I like you, Uenoyama-kun.

Ritsu: Huh?

Ritsu: Huh?

Mafu: I love you.

Ed: Loneliness is a weapon

Ed: It can hurt people

Ed: And can make you not realize it

Ed: Loving someone is a sickness

Ed: It makes it hard to breathe

Ed: And there's no cure for it

Ed: These days are a miracle

Ed: But something's still missing

Ed: There's still an empty column

Ed: You're mysterious

Ed: Your existence

Ed: Makes me both stronger and weaker

Ed: I wonder how we're doing

Ed: Are we being proper human beings?

Ed: I'm not sure

Ed: But I check our answers as I try to find out
