Donkey: It's a hot air balloon!

in the basket!

Panda: What a beautiful balloon!

Harriett: Yoo-hoo, everybody!

Ah...I think it's time for me to go home now!

Panda: Did Bob Dog say he had to go home?

Donkey: Yeah but why all of a sudden?

Bob Dog: [shivering]

Donkey/Panda: Your best pals, Donkey and Panda!

Bob Dog: Come in!

Panda: Hi!

Donkey: Hey, Bob? Are you taking a little rest?

Bob Dog: No.

But I don't think I want to go outside and play anymore.

Hey, Donkey, can you go look out that window for me?

Panda: Oh, like Harriett's hot air balloon?

Bob Dog: I-I don't think so, Donkey.

When I saw Harriett's balloon in the sky,

my stomach felt like it had a million butterflies in it.

I-I felt really scared.

Donkey: Well, why are you afraid of Harriett's balloon, Bob?

Panda: Yeah.

Bob Dog: I-I-I'm not sure, but ever since I saw it,

I just keep thinking it's right outside my door!

Now I can't stop feeling scared!

Panda: I understand how you feel, Bob Dog.

Hey, Donkey? Donkey: Hmm?

Panda: You remember that time we bounced

Sir Bounce-A-Lot into the dark, scary swamp!

Donkey: Oh yeah! We were afraid to go get the ball

because we kept thinking about all the scary things

that could be out there.

Panda: But we kept telling ourselves--

Donkey: We're strong!

Panda: And brave!

Donkey: When we felt afraid, we said that

to remind ourselves that we were okay.

Panda: And we were able to get Sir Bounce-A-Lot back!

Bob Dog: Bow wow!

That was really brave of you two.

Donkey: And I, Donkey Hodie, will help you feel brave, too!

Maybe you can say something to remind yourself

you're okay and feel less scared?

When I saw one up close, I was so scared because it was so big!

But when I looked at it from far away,

I'm scared of hot air balloons too!

But I was able to face my fear little by little

until I could finally fly in my beautiful balloon.

And it reminds me that I'm okay!

And I feel so sad, my tail's all droopy.

Duck Duck: Yeah, that sure looks like a sad and droopy tail.

Donkey: I really miss Panda.

My heart feels heavy, like it fell into my belly.

Bob Dog: So I guess there's nothing to do

but just sit and be all sad.

Duck Duck: Yeah, guess so...

Bob Dog: I miss seeing Panda's purple-y happy face.

[all sigh]

Donkey: I miss his big Purple Panda hugs.

[all sigh]

Duck Duck: And I miss, hearing his "hey-o's"!

[giggles] Why does he even say that, huh?

"hey-o" not only reminds me of Panda,

but this is pretty fun and it makes me smile!

I am a little confused

because saying "hey-o" makes me feel a lot better,

so you both should feel better too?

Donkey: Well, we're all different, so maybe

different things help us feel better when we're sad.
