[purrs, whimpers]
[Xandra] We did go
to the Dream Lab, didn't we?
[Sprout] We did.
And we got Wolfboy a new dream, didn't we?
We did.
We didn't dream all that, did we?
We didn't.
So why, after everything we did
to get him a new dream,
did he decide not to use it?
Why is he so interested in
where that passage goes anyway?
And why am I, once again,
chasing after a sleepwalking human
in my pajamas when I should be in bed?
Uh, do you want me to
make up an answer? [chuckles]
[Sprout] Whoo-hoo!
[both grunt]
[groans]
I hope we find him
before Professor Luxcraft does.
He would be so cross
if he found us back here again.
-[screams]
-[shouts]
-What are you doing here?
-[chuckles] Nothing.
What are you doing here?
Uh, nothing.
I thought I made it clear last time.
This area is forbidden.
Oh, you did, sir.
I just, uh…
forgot… my rock.
Oh, yep. Here it is.
My precious rock.
I thought I'd lost it forever.
His name is Hubert.
Hmm. Where's the boy?
Uh, Wolfboy?
-He's, uh, sick.
-Sick?
He came down with a bad case of humanitis.
Humanitis? Oh, my.
Yeah. Terrible business.
He's covered in spots.
Yeah, uh, blue spots.
And he can't stop itching and--
[shushes]
Anyway, he's in pretty bad shape, sir.
We'd best get back to him.
Yes, yes. Of course. It's imperative
that he make a full and swift recovery,
for all of our sakes.
-What?
-Hmm? Uh, nothing.
Hurry along now. Tend to the boy.
I'll stop by later after I've finished,
um… doing nothing… here.
What now? And where's Wolfy?
He must've gone through that passage
before Luxcraft boarded it up.
[gasps] But now he'll be stuck in there.
We'll have to go back later,
take the boards down and go in after him.
But we don't even know
where that passage goes.
And if Professor Luxcraft finds us
down there again…
-You're right.
-I am?
We need to find out where it goes.
-Then maybe we can find another way in.
-Good plan.
What do you think is in there?
Maybe treasure!
[gasps] Maybe a zebra.
[gasps] Or better…
two zebras.
[Xandra] Whatever it is,
Luxcraft obviously
doesn't want anyone to find it.
[gasps] This tunnel seems to
go on forever.
Whoa.
[whimpers]
I don't wanna alarm you,
but I think we're in the Disarray Realm.
[purrs]
We won't stay long.
We just-- We need to find Nyx.
[purrs]
If Luxcraft won't tell me anything,
I need to ask someone who will.
[purrs]
[purrs]
[gasps]
[snoring]
-[screams]
-[screams]
-[screaming]
-[screaming]
[screams]
I'm sorry if we startled you.
We're new here.
That was strange. I thought
disarrays were all evil and scary,
but that one seemed
more scared of us than we were of it.
[purrs]
[rumbling]
[grunting]
[shrieks, purrs]
Um, hi?
I've been sent by Nyx
to fetch you. Get in.
[purrs]
So, what's your name?
Are we close?
To Nyx, I mean?
Do you know what she wants with me?
The Disarray Realm isn't quite
what I was expecting.
-Do you all--
-I am not a disarray.
Oh. Are you a spryte?
[scoffs]
[clattering]
Are you a spryte too?
[groans]
[disarray 1] Hey, get off of there!
That's our wheel!
-[clamors]
-[disarray 2] Why do you have to blame me?
You're the one who's supposed to
be watching the left quadrant.
What happened?
The wheel's been stolen, sir.
[sighs] I'm so sick
of this infernal wasteland.
Well, don't just stand there.
Go get another wheel.
-Now!
-Yes, sir.
And you two, set up camp.
Um, how long will it take?
[groans] Maybe a day or two.
A day or two?
Depends on what he runs into on the road.
So, what are we gonna do until then?
Please, I can't stay here
for a day or two.
I just need to speak to Nyx.
And then I should get back to my friends.
They must be so worried.
You should've thought
about that before you came.
Now, whatever she wants you for,
human, it can wait.
What if I find the wheel?
Then we can get back on our way, right?
[laughs] Oh, don't be foolish.
Once something goes missing
in the Disarray Realm, it's gone.
[purrs, blows raspberry]
Come on, Floof.
-And where do you think you're going?
-I'm going after that wheel.
[purring]
If he wants to go, let him go.
He'll be back.
And if he doesn't come back,
that's not our fault, is it?
The trail goes in there.
[whimpering]
Don't worry.
We can't let these disarray thieves
stop us from getting to Nyx.
No matter how many teeth
or claws they have--
[purrs]
-Ready?
-[babbles]
[screams]
Huh?
[munching, cooing]
Aw.
They're not evil, Floof.
They're just hungry.
[laughs]
-[laughs]
-[giggles]
Aw. We can't take the wheel away.
It looks like they need it
more than we do.
[clears throat]
Well, look who it is.
And, oh, I don't see
any wheel with him either.
[laughs]
I can't imagine what Nyx would possibly
want with a witless human like you.
Wow. [gasps]
[purrs]
-Wow.
-Ooh!
[babbles, purrs]
-[laughs] Oh, wow.
-Wow.
[groans]
-[purrs]
-Now, can we please go see Nyx?
[gasps]
William.
I'm so glad you've come.
Oh, Norman, where could he be?
Hello!
[Oneira] Sprouty!
[chuckles] Come and play with us!
-[Sprout groans]
-Don't worry, it's easy.
Luxcraft's coming!
He can't find out that Wolfboy's missing.
Wolfboy's missing?
Yes! But Luxcraft can't find out,
so just go with it!
Go with what?
Look, it's very simple.
Luxcraft thinks Wolfboy is sick in bed,
so we all just gotta play along.
But, Xandra?
He's not in bed.
Um...
I have an idea. Stall him!
Hello there, young sprytelings.
-I just came to check on Wolfboy.
-Um, [chuckles] about that… [gasps]
[whistling]
My dear boy, how are you feeling?
-[Norman] Hello!
-[gasps]
I must say, you do sound
under the weather.
[Norman] Hello!
Oh, sir! I wouldn't get too close.
Careful, sir.
He's entered the glowy phase.
The glowy phase?
Uh, yes. I quite understand.
I'll leave you to rest, then.
I fear I may have pushed you
a bit too hard.
Sometimes I forget you are, after all,
just a boy.
I'll stop by again soon.
Oh, Norman, what a performance!
Hello!
[Oneira sighs]
Where exactly is Wolfboy?
Um, we don't actually know.
He went through a mysterious passage,
and now, well, it's a mystery!
We'll find out where Wolfboy is.
All we need is a bit of research.
[chuckles]
Welcome to the Disarray Realm, William.
We're so glad you're here.
What an interesting mask.
Did you make that yourself?
Uh, no. My-- My mum made it with me.
Did she? Hmm.
You must have had a long journey.
Would you like to see your room?
My room? No, no. I'm not staying.
I just came to find out…
uh,
you said you'd tell me who I really am.
Of course.
Follow me.
[Wolfboy] Wow! This place is--
Not what you were expecting? [chuckles]
No.
I'm sure there's a lot
the sprytes haven't told you.
I'm not like them, you know?
I won't keep secrets from you.
Well, then prove it.
In the Dreamscape, you said you knew
what I was really capable of,
so tell me.
First, there are some things
you must understand.
Things that have been kept from you.
[Nyx] You see, the world is
a living, breathing organism.
Like us.
It cycles through rhythms of creation…
and destruction.
Sprytes create,
and disarrays destroy.
There can be no creation
without destruction…
and no destruction without creation.
It's a cycle,
and it's how the world evolves.
So you're saying disarrays are good?
Good, bad.
You're thinking too simply.
Come. I'll show you.
I won't bite.
[disarray realm residents
chattering, laughing]
[salesperson] Fresh rare oaks!
Get your fresh rare oaks!
I didn't know there were
so many kinds of disarrays.
It takes all kinds
to make the world go round.
Each favors
a particular method of destruction,
not too different to sprytes, really.
Each plays their part.
[cackles]
-[laughing]
-[disarray] He dropped him.
Of course, they don't mind
a bit of mischief.
But a little chaos can be fun, can't it?
-[growling]
-What is it, Floof?
It's okay. There's nothing there.
Are we going to the surface?
I know you've heard
a lot of scary stories about disarrays,
but I think you deserve a chance
to make up your own mind. Don't you?
Don't worry.
I'll be right here when you return.
You're not coming?
Sprytes can't use disarray portals.
But I can?
[chuckles] You're not a spryte, are you?
Now, off you pop.
Ugh!
[munching, grunting]
Wait! Stop those slugs!
Leave those vines alone!
[grunts]
[inhales, sighs]
The vines were choking the trees…
[coos, purrs]
…and you were eating the vines.
And now the trees can breathe.
[grunts, purrs]
[horn blowing]
[horn blowing]
-[spryte 1] There they are! Get them!
-[spryte 2] Get 'em!
After 'em right now!
There they are! Get 'em!
Wait. It's okay.
Those are guardian sprytes.
Run! Back to the portal!
[screaming]
-[sprytes shouting]
-Whoa! Whoa!
Get those disarrays!
[whimpering]
[grunts]
Oh, my poor rotter slugs. [sobs]
Are you all right? What happened?
It was guardians, ma'am.
I-I don't understand.
Why would they attack?
They always do this.
They don't want the disarrays
to do their natural work.
They only want their creations up there.
[Xandra groans] Come on, Blip,
this research is taking forever.
Have you found out where Wolfboy is yet?
Um, hmm.
So if that goes there,
and that's pointing north,
yesterday was Thornsday.
So that means… Oh, no!
What?
-Oh, dear!
-What is it, Blip?
-I know where he is.
-Where?
He's in…
the Disarray Realm!
Oh, my twigs! [exclaims]
[Wolfboy] Didn't the guardians see
that the vines were k*lling the trees?
What those disarrays were doing was good.
Destruction is
neither good nor bad, child.
It's just what disarrays do.
But it's an important part
of the world's balance.
But the world isn't balanced, is it?
That's what the prophecy says.
You've heard of Dryades, I assume?
The big tree? Sure.
It connects the spryte portals
to the surface.
Well, this is Meliae.
It connects the disarrays to the surface?
[Nyx] And powers their portals.
These two trees reflect the balance.
The more creation there is in the world,
the stronger Dryades becomes.
And the more destruction there is,
the stronger Meliae grows.
They are meant to coexist.
But when sprytes stop disarrays
from destroying,
Meliae's growth slows,
and Dryades overtakes it.
It means even fewer disarrays can reach
the surface.
But, uh, someone told me
that the disarrays are on the rise.
Ah, yes.
How is old purple beard these days?
Wait, you know Professor Luxcraft?
Hmm, our paths may have crossed.
What has he told you about the prophecy?
He said that I'm supposed to
restore balance to the world.
Well, he's right about that.
But to bring that balance,
it's the disarrays who need your help.
They must rise to restore the balance.
I know this is a lot to take in.
-We should continue in the morning.
-Oh, no. I'm really not going to stay.
Well, I guess I could stay for one night.
Right, Floof?
[babbles]
[Nyx] Get some sleep, dear.
You'll want to be rested up for tomorrow.
What are we doing tomorrow?
Luxcraft has shown you
how to summon creation wisps.
But I'll bet he hasn't told you about
destruction wisps.
Destruction wisps?
You're capable of
more than you realize, William.
Together, we're going to change the world.
Pleasant dreamlings.
My queen,
the generals and I have concerns.
What is this human doing here?
To bring an enemy into our court--
I won't have my power questioned.
Just have a little patience.
All will be revealed.
[sighs]
[gasps, growls]
