I woke up at a.m. to study the school budget.

[gasps] Who are you and what have you done with Max?

We're wasting money and some of these cuts I'm making

is gonna free up a ton of cash.

So you can buy stuff for yourself?

Why would you ask that?

Because there's a picture of a golf cart labeled

"Buy with school money!"

It is not just a golf cart, Chloe.

It's a vice principal delivery unit.

And it is pretty and shiny and I need it.

"Why?" she asked, knowing the answer

would be incredibly dumb.

As the vice principal, I walk around the school all day,

and how can I be a good supe and make saves

if my legs are tired?

Max, you can't use school funds as your personal bank account.

Why? Those clubs don't need all that money.

You're cutting the money from the school clubs?

My science club is down to its last three beakers.

The budget says you have eight.

That was before Jinx joined.

Yeah. That kid's a dropper.

Please, Max. Promise you won't use the clubs' money

to order that thing.

Fine, I promise.

But I can't promise I didn't already order it yesterday!

[Chloe]I come from a family of superheroes.

But now, my brother and sister and I

are heading to a brand-new town.

[Phoebe]We're going undercover.

[Max]To try and solve our most important mission yet.

On the bright side,

that really cuts down their lap time.

This isn't right.

[indistinct chatter]

Everyone! Quit what you're doing and listen to Chloe!

[laughs] It is pretty embarrassing.

I mean, that's terrible.

I'm Max Thunderman. I don't get pranked.

I do the pranking.

Chloe, you know these kids.

You can help me figure out who it is.

It's hard to narrow it down. You are pretty well hated.

I already checked every student's schedule

to see who'd even have time for this.

I even went to the bakery to ask who bought banana cream pies.

-Any luck? -No. They just laughed at me.

Pie people with poofy hats laughed at me!

Maybe you should just return the money to the clubs.

[laughs] Oh no. Not after they humiliated me.

which would be great for my cover story.

Wanna watch the butt-kicking?

Ah, I'm supposed to be on egg duty,

but, yeah, scooch over.

[grunting]

With your newly-trained eyes,

finding the prankster will be easy.

What threats do you see?

Ooh! Two o'clock.

Kid with suspicious rubber band.

Potential prank spotted.

There's hope for you yet. What else?

[can clanking out of machine]

Ooh. Suspect with straw, possible spitballer.

Good. But you missed the kid at ten o'clock

holding the lunch tray.

Might be looking to start a food fight.

[Jinx groans]

[sighs] Come on, man, you're better than this.

That's just Jinx. That kid's a dropper.

Man! It's like I can see these pranks

before they happen. [chuckles]

Only a matter of time before I catch this prankster.

Plus you're so defeated inside, you no longer feel pain.

this newfound respect for each other.

Remember how pathetic I used to be?

Max! I heard about the prank today.

[Max groans]

Maybe if you just returned the golf cart

and gave the clubs back their money,

the prankster would stop.

Sensei Bradford says

He still lives with his mother.

on our entire Secret Shores mission.

a villain like the Mastermind when I can't even catch

a middle school prankster?

than just being evil and worshipping Max.
