[phone chiming]

[Tahioka] Oh, hello. Is that you, Anno?

- It's me, Tahioka.
- [gasps]

[Tahioka] I know you prefer to stay silent

So I'll just cut to the chase.

First order of business, well,

the manuscripts you have stored here might

have been replaced somehow.

- [gasps]
- [Tahioka] The other thing I want

to talk to you about
is we'd like you to judge

this month's contest.

[Fuko Izumo] Um, excuse me.

Regarding the first matter,

I'll give you a report after
we do some investigating.

As for the second,
will you be able to judge?

My name is Fuko Izumo.

[Anno] "To You, From Me" is
a manga that helped Fuko

to live her life.

The story drawn within
as Juiz describes it

was a prophecy of this world,

so she directs Fuko and Andy
to investigate

the creator behind it.

Following Andy's suggestion,

Fuko ends up having to draw
a manga as a means

to contact the author.

Creating one for her first time
has Fuko at wit's end

until Andy advises her
to just think about what would

make her heart throb to death.

With a fresh start,

Fuko begins to face her own emotions

This self reflection
was not only for the mission

but also from a will to be able

to call bigger strokes of unluck for Andy.

With assistance from other members,

Fuko pours her feelings
into her manuscript.

And thus she completes "Undead + Unluck."

With the finished story in hand,

the pair head to the publisher
and succeed in speaking with

the author Anno Un as planned.

And now Fuko and Andy head

to their next destination: Canada.

That's right, where they'll find me.



[jet engines roaring]

[grunts]

[Fuko] I'm sure I heard them right.

They said both of us together.

[Andy] I see.

I gotta assume they're talkin'
about the two of us.

In other words,

this Anno Un definitely knows who we are.

[chomps]

Not only that,

it takes roughly nine hours
to fly to Canada

on a passenger airplane.

But they've somehow got the lowdown

that Union tech can
get us there in just three.

They ain't normal any way you slice it.

I wonder if we'll really be able to...

Actually meet them.

The Anno Un.

Age is unknown, sex is unknown.

In fact I heard no one
knows what they look

or even sound like.

And let's not forget they seem

- Although, you'll need

to do more work on the setup.

As is, it won't get past
the pitch meeting.

[Andy] They got that close

Here's the thing.

I'm well aware what you two
are really after.

and how you're supposed
to defeat the four UMAs.

The composition and characters
are pretty good,

but line work and figure drawing
is just terrible!

get stronger than ever!

in the rules.

You assumed things work
in a certain way so much

that you end up establishing
more rules on your own.

I know it's in a Negator's nature

to do so, but...

In my opinion, we're Negators.

Why should you bind yourself up
with more rules?

The key to closing that gap may
be buried in the unknown parts

of my past.

I don't know what their training entails,

but if it gets me closer to that key,

I want to try it.
