05x05 - The Custard-y Battle

Post by bunniefuu »

Previously on 1000-lb Sisters...

I called Michael and I told him,

"I'm done. I want a divorce."

You are doing the right thing.

Don't play no games.

Get you a lawyer.

That's my next step.

Good morning.

Morning.

Yesterday, Misty and I,
both had weight loss surgery.

Any roommate complaints
after last night?

I passed gas twice.

And they sounded like
an atomic b*mb going off.

Like, I don't know how to feel.

I don't wanna
bleep talk about it.

I'm the one who asked for it,

but damn, are you not
gonna fight for me?

You know, ultimately, this
is a really big step for you.

You know, there's a good
possibility Michael's gonna be here.

I don't wanna see him,
but I know it has to be done.

And today, I'm heading
to the courthouse

for my first official court date

for my divorce.

Like, I don't know how
to feel...

right now.

Even though
I wanted the divorce,

it still don't change the fact

that sometimes a girl just
wants you to fight for her

and prove that
you actually love her.

But, ultimately, separation

is the very best interest
for me and the boys.

And there ain't no
going back from here.

You got a lot of
soul-searching to do yourself.

'Cause you gotta figure out what
exactly you wanna do from here.

You know what I'm saying?

I'm not sure how this

court date's gonna go because...

Are we gonna spend hours

fighting with lawyers and stuff?

I don't know how it's gonna go,

but I'm nervous about all of it.

She's worse than I am.

- About being early.
- Well, Mom had always taught us

growing up, if you're early,
you're late...

When I went through my divorce
with Michael's brother, Jason,

it was one of the hardest
things I've ever had to do.

So, even though I had my
gastric bypass just a week ago,

I'm definitely gonna be
here to support her.

So, what are you discussing
here in court today?

Today is just about the kids.

He wants joint custody.

I think I wanted him to have
a little bit of custody

because of the fact that I
grew up without a daddy,

I know what it's like.

Even though me and Michael's
relationship is bad,

I still want them to have
some relationship with him.

You know, at the end of day,
that is their father.

Right now, I got full custody.

And I don't think
he wants more custody.

Okay, well, let's get
in here, it's cold, guys.

Well?

I just don't know
what to think right now.

I got my... It just happened

so I've not fully
processed it yet.

I went from crying, to mad,

to ang... To sad again.

All of those
feelings is natural.

How do you feel seeing that
a*s bleep for the first time?

I didn't look at him,
to be honest with you.

I didn't acknowledge
his presence at all.

Since the judge is trying to
determine who gets custody,

we both had to testify
on what we do for the boys.

Michael got on that stand
saying he was a equal parent

trying to get 50-50 custody.
He was like...

My mouth drops.

I turn around,
look at the back row

where my family's sitting.

And all their faces are like...

I made the bath waters.

You don't know
how your bleep son

likes his bath water.

Don't play with me.

Gage likes it hot,
like you and Glenn don't.

He can't tell you that,
he don't know

what kinda ratio
you put in the bathwater

to make it extra bubbly.

He don't know that bleep.

Amy, we all know.

Everybody knows.

I cannot believe he's asking
for 50-50 custody.

There should be
no reason why he needs

extra days with the kids

- when he's not even gonna take care of 'em.
- Right.

You know, it's not you
gonna be having the kids,

it's gonna be your mother.

Michael wants

I was the chef, I was the cook,

I was the nanny, I was
everything in that house.

Honestly, every time that man
opened his mouth and said...

- About 90%-- -It
was chock full of--

I would say he's lying
through his teeth,

but he ain't got none,
so there's that.

Toothless and bald in Kentucky.

I can see a dating profile now.

So, I go back
to court in a month.

It will be all right,

everything will work out.

Since the lawyers
didn't come to an agreement,

we're gonna continue
court in a month.

I can see this being
a long fight.

And this is just the beginning.

It's great.

But...

And her boys fart
just as much as she does.

And now that
she's living in my house,

it's like we picked
right back up

from where we left off.

- Hey, y'all, it's Amy.
- And Tammy.

And today we are making...

Tammy, you wanna--

Weird candles.

So, both times
when I was pregnant,

a big smell that I really liked

was the smell of garlic.

I looked everywhere
for a garlic scented candle...

and could not find one. So...

Here.

Yeah, well, that's a big onion.

- It is a biggie.
- That's a big--

If I was on a date and it was
going bad, maybe?

It smells like BO and farts.

Ah!

bleep

Yo, I burned the tablecloth.

She freaking put a freaking
hot pan down

on my plastic tablecloth.

That hits all the right spots.

Yep. "What?"

I always said
I didn't want children

because I didn't think
I was gonna be able to do it.

So...

I'm hopeful.

Hey.

Stop.

Caleb, right.

Right now, Caleb and I'd
text message all the time.

But sometimes, we don't even
get to talk on the phone.

I don't think he's avoiding
talking to me, but...

it feels like
he's hiding something.

And not being honest with me.

How's it going?

What? What do you mean?

Seriously though,
you don't tell me, like...

you're taking care of things.

I wanna know
how you're actually doing.

There's no actual
conversations with Caleb.

All he wants to tell me is,
"Baby, I love you."

I like hearing you
tell me you love me,

don't get me wrong, but...

And since Caleb hid the fact

that he was in the hospital,

I wonder what else he's hiding.

I wanna see you, too.

I'm gonna call Chris later and
see if he can take me up there.

I know the ups
and downs of weight loss...

And more than anything,
I want Caleb

to experience the rewards
with me.

All the things
we've been talking about.

Travelling, kids and whatever.

But I'm worried
that he's getting worse,

not better. So...

And do whatever I have to do

to motivate Caleb
to get back on track.

Cute!

That's what I'm talking about.

With the price of eggs
these days,

if I can get me
a few eggs for free,

that'd be a win-win.

I got one!

So, what brings you here today?

- I wanna see if I can conceive.
- Okay.

Really?

What if a chicken gets loose, are you
gonna be chasing it around the yard?

It's all possible,

I ain't chasing
no damn chickens,

if I can help it.

With Dr. Smith telling me
I need to lose 50 more pounds

before I can get
my skin removal,

I am trying to stick more
to the really lean

pure protein foods.

It's cute!

I figured I could get
something to your liking

and since it had to be
in the backyard.

We eat...

roughly 80 eggs a week.

Over-easy, scrambled,

fried, boiled, poached,

every which way
you wanna cook 'em.

And then there's always
deviled eggs.

That's how I like 'em.

With the price
of eggs these days,

if I can get me
a few eggs for free,

that'd be a win-win.

But also...

That's...

I thought
we were doing chickens,

that's a damn rabbit house.

What'd you expect? You know,
you order something expecting

- they're really real big.
- -They give you dimensions.

Well, you know
I didn't read bleep.

He's an idiot.

We both spent time
on our farm growing up,

but only one of us
apparently knows

you don't put chickens
in a rabbit hut.

So, how you've been
feeling since your surgery?

Um, everything's going good.

And I am off the insulin
and the diabetic meds.

It's great to see Misty
doing so good

a week and a half after surgery.

Losing weight, getting healthy,

maybe she'll even
lose her damn attitude.

Heck, yeah!

Let me get my gloves out

- so I can handle it.
- -That's what I'm talking about.

Some chickens.

Come here,
chickie, chickie, chickies.

No, come here.

Come here.

I should have left
the door open,

they'd probably went in.

I ordered the chickens from a
local vendor and she delivered 'em.

And I thought that

we needed some practice
wrangling 'em our self

and putting 'em in the coop.

Well, that was
a big mistake. Period.

Come here,
chickie, chickie, chickie.

No!

Ah! I got one!

I support you,
but I'm not feeding 'em,

I'm not collecting the eggs,

I don't wanna
get my hands dirty.

Here, come get this black
one before it bleep on me.

I don't want it to poop on me.

Your chicken.

My chicken?

It's Chris's chicken.

If it poops on me,
I'm gonna be mad at you.

- Yeah!
- Get in there!

What a way to go, team work.

bleep right.

We should name the chickens.

This is Gretchen.

Gretchen? Okay.

Now, I don't know,
what do you look like?

- You look like a--
- Drumstick!

Here, I'll hold this,
you put your sticker up.

So, how's Amy feeling
after the court hearing?

Man, she's...

She's going through some bleep.

The first court hearing
was hard on Amy.

And it's clear that Michael's not
gonna go down without a fight.

My divorce dragged
out over a year

because we were fighting
over the kids.

Yeah.

I mean, it's really sad
that Amy's gotta be,

you know, living through that.

Anything involving the boys

is gonna stress
Amy out right now.

Amy's always been
easy to get worked up.

She gets overwhelmed real easy.

Divorce is never
easy on anybody.

You lose yourself

in emotions
and taking care of the kids.

Problem with that is, is if
you don't take care of yourself,

you're not able
to take care of everything

and everyone around you
that you have to.

So, I hope
she's got what it takes

to weather the storm
that's coming.

You need a wheelchair
or are you walking in?

All right.

So, I'm going to Amy's OB-GYN

to make sure I'm healthy
and can conceive.

I have seen a OB-GYN.

I got too big,

and it was really hard
to go anywhere

unless I had to.

I'm here just to support you.

I know.

- Tammy?
- Yes, ma'am.

Tammy said she might want
kids someday and I'm like...

"Well, until you had
the gastric bypass,

you always said
you never wanted kids."

And I know
where she's coming from.

For me and Tammy, it was
both similar, we didn't think

we can have kids at that size.

And now, that she had
the weight loss surgery,

there's world of endless

possibilities that she can do,

including having kids.

Okay, now let me ask you this,

I'd like to get your weight.

Are you okay with me doing that?

- Yeah.
- Take your time.

Okay?

But I'm nervous because...

- 374.6, is that good?
- Yes.

Well, how much down is that

from the last time
you were weighed?

I was 420.

It's like
you've lost a whole person.

That's great.

God, it's been so long

since I've been this small.

Amy, we haven't gotten
your weight for a while.

Well, you let me know
when you feel like checking.

Because I'm good,
this ain't about me.

You don't wanna get weighed?

This doctor wanted me
weigh in, I'm like, "Girl,

I'm not here for me,
I'm here for Tammy."

I hate weighing myself, and I
haven't stepped on a scale in months.

There's other stuff

that needs my attention
more than weight loss.

If you've lost weight,
would that make you happy?

I'm wondering if Amy
not getting on a scale is...

her being scared,

and she's put on weight
because she hasn't

been taking care of herself
and she knows it?

Or is she just trying
to really be a b*tch?

Okay, so what
brings you here today?

- I wanna see if I can conceive.
- -Okay.

I wanna make sure everything
is healthy down there.

I had a IUD put in.

Oh, you did? When was that?

It needed to be
taken out in 2016.

Oh, wow.

Tammy's had a IUD in there
for, like, 12 years, I'm like...

Is that the last time
you've seen a doctor? Okay.

Was it a bad experience

- and that's why you didn't go back?
- I was just really big...

Yeah, to get in there

and get it out. Okay.

What's more concerning

to me is if she should get

pregnant and an IUD is in place,

it can cause pre-mature delivery

or even fetal death.

So, if she's been
sexually active

with an IUD in place,

that's not effective, we probably
ought to try to get that out.

Are you married? Okay.

Are you sexually
active right now?

No? Okay.

Okay, why is that?

Oh, well, that's a problem.

I know being bigger
has disadvantages with sex.

I am handy-capable,

not handicap.

When was the last
that time you had a period?

You don't remember? Okay.

Really? And why do you say that?

I've been craving
weird things that I'm not--

- Normally craving?
- Yeah.

- And now you crave it? Hm.
- Like water,

- I'm craving water.
- -Well, some of it could be--

Yeah.

b*tch, you ain't pregnant,
you're thirsty.

You're just thirsty, b*tch,
go drink you some water.

So, if you're not
having periods,

the ovaries
are not producing eggs.

Now, that doesn't mean
that as you lose weight,

your ovaries
won't start to wake up,

kinda like Amy's did.

And they'll start making
eggs and behaving normally.

We need to get you scheduled for
an ultrasound and taking out the IUD.

It's very important
that you do that, okay?

You're getting healthy
in other ways,

we wanna make sure
that nothing stops that. Okay?

- All right, guys, take care.
- Thank you.

The doctor said
there is no way I could

possibly be pregnant right now.

I have to basically
wake my ovaries up

so they can ovulate and I can...

start a menstrual cycle and...

I'm happy
that there's still hope,

but it sucks
knowing I'm so far away

from being able to conceive.

How you feeling

going back to the house

since all this
mess has happened?

I'm not ready for this step.

I'm not ready to be
back in the house.

What is it?

It's time for Amy
to move forward.

Time to get unstuck, girl.

We finally on the damn road
to go see your sugar daddy.

My sugar daddy.

First thing
you're gonna do is walk up

and give him
big ol' kiss on the lips

and say, "What's up, baby?"

- No!
- -"Give me some hugging."

Today, Chris is taking me up
to see Caleb.

I know first-hand
about food addiction

and battling it,

all the ups and downs.

So, I don't trust
that Caleb's being honest...

Tammy, I feel
this is the best way

for you to get down
to the bottom

of what's going on with him

and hold him accountable
in the best way possible.

- Right.
- -But at the same token, you know,

try to come in

with the most levelest

and calm head that you can.

'Cause that's gonna be
a hard conversation

between you and him.

You know, we're going there,

and Tammy finds out Caleb's,

you know, health
is going crazy, or...

he's just blowing his diet...

I don't know if she's about
to lose her bleep on him.

You know, anything is possible

because you don't know
how you would handle

the situation
until you get there.

It's a very curious
situation to deal with.

I feel like I'm in the military,

I'm about to go to w*r.

So, what exactly
are we doing today?

We're gonna go pick up some
clothes for me and the boys.

How you feeling
going back to the house

since all this
mess has happened?

It's been about six weeks
since I left Michael.

The only thing I left with
was diapers

and the clothes on our backs,
we didn't have nothing.

Michael moved back
in with his mom,

so there ain't nobody
at that house right now.

But I'm not ready for this step.

I'm not ready to be
back in that house

and to go over the memories
of what happened

the day I left my husband.

How you feeling?

It's okay, we'll fill
that wall with other memories.

Just being here today
is like a big trigger moment.

Looking back on
our lives as a family...

you know, I see
all the happy memories,

but the negatives
outweigh the good memories.

We were supposed
to take a family vacation

for our anniversary.

What is it?

Huh?

- I can't. I can't.
- Here, Misty.

What do you wanna do with it?

I'm trying to keep it
together for my kids...

Long term...

can you see yourself
actually living here

and making a home of this
place again with your boys?

I hoping to, but...

all I see is like...

that day, keeps
playing in my head.

Well, but imagine

what you could do,
you could put--

- Rearrange furniture?
- Yep.

Rearrange furniture.

Put some new paint on the walls.

Curtains.

It's time for Amy
to move forward.

Right now, she's really
stuck in her feelings,

and although I get it,

her and the boys are literally
stuck in a limbo living in

Tammy's spare bedroom.

And that is definitely
not a long-term solution.

So, she needs to just go home

and reclaim this house
as her own.

Time to get unstuck, girl.

Let go of all the bad,

keep the good, and let's
make more memories.

We're about 20 miles
away from the facility,

how are you feeling?

I'm nervous.

It's been almost two months

since I've seen
Caleb face-to-face.

Well, Tammy,

we're about 20 miles
away from the facility,

how are you feeling?

I'm nervous.

- Why?
- It's like I'm, you know,

re-meeting him all over again.

So all the new feelings...

are back. You know, also,
like, my body has changed

since he's seen me.

All right, stop.

I'm nervous to see Caleb.

You know, face-to-face,
person-to-person.

I don't know
how it's gonna feel.

Will I crap myself?

Will I piss my pants?
I don't know.

I can't believe you're here.

And I wanna hug you and hold you

and kiss you and...

Okay.

It's been two months
since I've seen Tammy.

I've gotta show Tammy
there's progress,

I've gotta show Tammy
that there's improvement.

Come on.

Stop being a chicken, and do it.

All right.

I'm conflicted.

On one hand,

I've lost twelve
and a half pounds.

But in my head and in my heart,

I know that I should
be below 500.

It's all lack of discipline
on my part.

We got this.

But to be honest,
it's a little concerning.

Six weeks ago,

Dr. Smith gave Caleb
a weight goal to lose,

thirty-seven pounds.

And he hasn't even
made it to halfway yet.

But I'm trying to stay calm
and strong for him

and encourage him

not to give up,
not to let this number

today bother him.

Aw!

Yes!

Where's your motivation?
Where's your dedication?

What happened to it?

I mean, baby, I still got it.

It's just...

All the calories and the sugar.

All right, he says he wants
to come home, but yet...

I don't feel like
Caleb is coping

with the fact
that I had to leave.

Candy.

Snack cakes.

Cookies.

And two, I'm a woman,

we notice everything.

I mean, I knew
you weren't gonna be happy.

But...

I wanted it out in the open.

Everything will be--

I don't feel like
Caleb is coping

with the fact
that I had to leave.

Uh, support him.

Be his motivation.

Solve his problems, like...

I still can to a point,
but it's just...

Food addiction is deadly.

And I need you to understand...

that this is serious,

it's life or death.

I get that.

I'm the one
that's actually in the game,

it's up to me.

All attention on me.

What in the world?

Next time, on 1000-lb Sisters...

What, are we
gonna have a horse race?

Yeah.

Ready, set, go! Jackass!

We're fat people,
why are we gonna ride a stick?

Come one, now!

Brittany, why are
you standing there?

He had a giant basket of junk.

And don't remind me of all the
cheat days you've had, Tammy.

Your cheat days turned
into cheat years, b*tch.

I did it, too,
but I still lost weight.

Yeah, but it was years
in the making.

When's the last
time you used the bathroom?

- Two weeks ago.
- What?

Amy's not taking her medicine,

definitely not eating right.

She's not taking
care of herself.

I am not bleep doing this.

- I am done.
- Sis--

Leave me bleep alone,
I don't feel good.
