Larry, Bob and all their Veggie friends share their city adventures.

02x10 - Arcade Showdown/The Audition

Post by bunniefuu »

[Music]

There is a great big city where each day

begins with exciting new adventures for

our veggie friends. The hustle and the

bustle's going to make you smile when

you see all of our veggies living city

style. They're

unforett because we're vegetables.

Veggie tail broccoli veggie tailer.

Veggie tail in the sea. Veggie tails in

the sea.

[Music]

Oh man, so close. So close. What's this?

A new soda machine? This is Donkey Cop.

It's only like the oldest video game

ever made. It's vintage. Pretty cool,

huh? Can I try?

[Music]

Say, Bob, you're pretty good. Thanks.

Those are some serious joystick

reflexes.

[Music]

Look, cop score is number one on the top

10. Number one? You're telling me he

beat the initials

MBB? Who's MBB? Only the greatest Donkey

Kong player ever. MBB's held the top

score on every machine for 37 years. I

talk about it all the time on my video

game podcast. I wonder what those

initials stand for. Anyway,

MBB. Macho Big Boss. Marshmallow bunny.

Bunny. No. Well, Bob's the new champion

now. MBB is a thing of the past. That's

right. BTT. Bob the Tomato is the new

Donkey Cob hero. I'm sure it was

beginners luck. I wonder if Bob could

reach the unreachable level. I

appreciate the vote of confidence, but

if nobody's ever reached the unreachable

level, then uh we're just asking you to

try. You'll try, won't you? Well, sure.

I'll try.

King of

Wow, what a day. You're a local

celebrity now. How does it feel? It

feels really good, actually. Even if it

was just an old arcade game. You're

basically the greatest king of cob

player of all time. I am. Huh? Greatest

of all time. Just remember what it says

in Romans. It says, "Don't think too

highly of yourself." True, true. Just

because I have the high score today

doesn't mean I will tomorrow.

Oh, hello, Bob. Hi,

madam. Huh? It can't be. What is it? MBB

is back at number one. MBB was here.

Were there any witnesses? But who could

MBB be? I'm going to find out and get

MBB on my podcast. Bye. I'll beat that

score right now. I'm Bob. Bob, King of

Cobb.

You're not letting this go to your head,

are you, Bob? Oh, I'm just having a

little fun.

[Music]

Oh, yeah. Bob is back on top.

It's fun. Just having fun. Not letting

it go to my head.

That's Bob the king of clubs. I'm the

BGT. Bob the tomato. Understand? I got

more skills than Idaho has potatoes. My

moves are busting. My grooves are

something. I'm a master at faster when I

tap those buttons. I am fiercer than a

lion that's roaring. I'm exciting not

scoring. I'm a rock steady veggie. I'm

soaring and scoring at the controls. I'm

out of control. Got an eight intuition

and I'm on a roll.

[Music]

I'm Bob the tomato. Understand? I've got

more skills than San Fran. Has car

cable. I'm stable. I'm able. I score.

Stop. Rao. Not good. But Grado, I'm the

BTT. Bob the tomato. Give you the

thrills cuz I got more skills than a

hive has bees or dogs have fleas or a

forest has trees. Utah has bees.

Wisconsin has cheese. I'm the BT. Bob

the tomato. The BT. My score will score.

And you'll agree. There's no greater

gamer. No one quite like me. BTT. He's a

BTT. I'm the BTT. He's a BTT.

[Music]

Hi, Bob. Bill, why are you hiding under

cereal? I was hoping to get an

interview. Oh, okay. Sure. What's up,

internet? This is Bacon Gamer. I've got

Mr. BTT himself, live and in vegetable.

Bob, some say your high score on Donkey

Cob was a stroke of luck. What's your

response? Luck? I think my high score

speaks for itself. H What about MBB? MBB

is no challenge to me. A challenge? Huh?

You think you could take MBB in a

challenge? Uh, with my eyes tied behind

my back. I mean, with my hands closed.

Well, I just so happened to have found

MBB. MBB is here. MBB is drum

roll. Madame Blueberry.

What? It can't be. Well, hello Bob.

Looks like the two of us have a fun

little rivalry going. MBB sources say

Bob is at number one right now, but

you're not far behind. Well, I hadn't

played donkey cob seriously since the

late '7s, but as they say, it's just

like riding a bike. What about a

one-on-one cob off tomorrow at Ika Ber?

I'd be fine with a little friendly

competition, Bob. Of course. No sweat.

You heard it here first, folks. It's the

Donkey Cop Rumble in the Cheeseburger

Jungle.

[Music]

So, you ready to take on the notorious

MBB Bob?

The question is, are you ready? Need I

remind you, I hold the top score. You

should have seen my top score back in

the day. Almost double what either of us

have now. The machine was reset in the

power outage. Double? You mean you've

already beat my top score? Oh, yes,

quite. So, did you ever reach the level?

The unreachable level? Oh, no. No. I

don't think anyone has. I'd love to see

it. Even if you got to it first just to

get a glimpse. But wouldn't you be sad I

crushed your score? Bob, we must

remember it's just a game. Let's not

take ourselves too seriously. See you

tomorrow.

Right. I'd need to practice for weeks to

double my score. And the competition is

tomorrow.

[Music]

Perfect. Now I can practice all night.

This better work. It has

to. Hot dog. Don't worry. Just me. What

are you doing here? Nothing. Just

warming up for tomorrow.

Is that your score? It's kind of low cuz

you're distracting me. And it's not low.

I'm the best. I'm

BTT. I hope.

Maybe you should get some sleep. No, I

have to do this. If I lose, I'll be

ruined. I'm number one. Bob, you can't

let this game go to your head. Can you

please let me concentrate?

[Music]

No, no, no. I can't

lose. At it all night, huh? Don't you

need to sleep? Must double score.

You're a wreck. The cub off starts any

minute now. Oh, this is just going to be

What up, gamers? The big showdown is

about to throw down. You ready to go

toeto

toemato? I just thought of that. I'm not

ready.

The stage is set. Are the players

ready? Now listen up. I want a clean

game. You understand? Highest score

wins. And who knows, maybe one of you

will get the unreachable level. Let's

play calm. And we're up. Things are

getting donkey like a monkey in here.

Madam is in the lead and scoring fast.

Bob's off to a slow start, but maybe

he's just warming up. Nope, still slow.

Wow, Madam is on fire.

Come on. I'm doing awful.

I just beat my

score. Triple score bonus. I I just beat

Bob's score.

MBB is sticking it to the BTT. No, I got

to win.

Are you okay? I'm fine. I just No. Oh,

you fell in the pit. Game over, man. No,

no, no. I had another life. I I I lost.

Madam Blueberry has just reached level

9,000.

[Music]

Bob, you should be in there enjoying

yourself. So should you. It's a game,

Bob. Nobody cares if you lost. I do. I

was going to be the best. You set

yourself up that high. It's a long fall

down. You're right. You were right all

along. It's not the game that matters.

It's my friends. Everybody is going to

reach the unreachable level.

I can't believe it. Madam's going to do

it. Let's go. Cheer her

on the unreachable level. Why? It's It's

so beautiful. You did it, MBB. I'm sorry

I crushed your score, Bob. I'm sorry I

got so obsessed with my own score. I'm

honored to be a friend of MBB, the king

of Cobb. Oh, Bob. Well, there it is,

folks. Proof on video that the

unreachable level not only exists, but

it is reachable. Thank you for tuning

in. And next. Oh man, I forgot to push

record.

[Music]

Why do they call them donuts? What would

you call them? H I'd call them circular

fried dough with a hole in the middle.

Donut has a better ring to it.

What? H. Let's see. Hog great presents

local community theater production of

wheat the musical. That's the greatest

musical of all time. Wheat the musical.

What's it about?

Wheat? What else? Wheat the musical is

the story of a young man returning home

after three long years of fishing the

high seas. Now he's back to tend his

wheat. That does grab you. Oh man, I

can't wait to see it. You mean you can't

wait to see me in it? Tom Ceriac, world

famous movie star.

What are you doing here? Gentlemen,

wheat is the greatest musical of all

time. See, Opie Okra is the greatest

acting role of all time. And I am the

greatest actor of all time. That's what

I'm doing here. You're going to be Opie

Okra? I am. as soon as I audition and

out act Korn.

Jack Korn, the other world famous movie

star. That's right. But I need to ask

you a favor. I've got to remain

incognito.

Is that Tom?

Never mind. I thought it was Tom Cerak.

I need a place to practice my lines so

I'm not swarmed by fans asking for

endless autographs. Hey, hey, hey. Can I

stay at your house? Stay at our house?

On one condition, can you sign my head?

Captain Fred, are you sure you don't

need me on the boat? Are you sure you

don't need me? Are you sure you don't

need me? Larry, do me a favor and be

Captain Fred, will you, baby? Me act

with you? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know it's

a stretch, but I've got to be at the top

of my game. I need to beat Jack. He

always gets the best roles. You jealous

of another actor? No, I'm not jealous. I

just don't like it when he gets

something I don't. Well, it still sounds

a little bit like jealousy. You know,

there's a verse in Proverbs that says,

"Peace of mind means a healthy body, but

jealousy will rot your bones." I don't

have any bones, tomato. I'm a vegetable.

What it means is that jealousy will eat

you up. You can never be truly at peace

with yourself unless you are happy for

others. Less lessons, more acting.

Larry, put on your captain's hat. Wow,

Tom, this is nice. And

action. Captain Fred, are you sure you

don't need me on the boat? Fishing

season is over, Opie. We caught all the

fish. Go on back home to your farm.

Thank you, Captain Fred. The stocks are

getting tall and over the seas I roam.

So now I'm going home. Going home to my

wheat and scene. For someone who's

obviously never acted before, you didn't

mess me up too bad. Would you say I

nailed it? Oh yeah, you nailed it. All

right. I can almost smell the wheat.

Would anybody like a slice of whole

wheat bread? No thanks. I got to hit the

sack. Tomorrow's the big audition, and

if I'm going to destroy Jack, I need my

beauty

rest. I've seen sites unlike any I've

seen, but none as sweet as

this. Jack Corn, is this a stalk I see

before me? It's kernel toward my hand.

Come, let me clutch thee.

Sweet and scene. Good job, Jack. Who's

next to audition? Me, Tomariac.

That's right. I've come to show Jack

Korn who the real actor is. Make sure

you show me, too, because I get to pick

who gets to be in my show. Hey, you. How

you been? I've been getting ready to be

Opie Oak Oprah. That's how I've been.

Well, good luck.

What scene are you going to audition

with? The crop dusting scene. All right,

let's get right to it then. Come on,

Ceriac. You got to nail this. I can't

let Jack win. And action.

It's like my daddy always said. Um, if

you can sail a ship, you can if you can

sail a ship. Um, okay. What he said was,

uh, I'm sorry. I'm a little thrown off.

I I practiced with Larry yesterday.

Would you mind if he Sure, why not? Come

on, Larry. You're up.

Got to beat Jack. Concentrate.

And action. Opie, are you sure you can

fly this thing? It's like my daddy

always said, if you can sail a ship, you

can fly a plane. Opie, I'm not so sure

how smart your daddy was.

All I know is that we need to dust this

wheat. It's like my daddy always said,

don't try to fly a plane if you don't

know how to fly a plane.

What are we going to do then, Captain

Fred? The only thing we can do, Opie.

Sing.

We insane.

Wonderful. Wonderful. Thank you. Thank

you. That's how it's done, Jackie boy. I

bet you wish you were that good. The

auditions went really well. I'm happy to

announce the following lineup. I got

this one in the bag. The role of Captain

Fred will be played by Jack Korn.

That's a surprise, but I'll take it.

Yes. If Jack is Captain Fred, that means

Opie must be and Opie Okra will be

played

by Larry.

What?

I knew it. I knew it. Larry, I realized

you weren't really auditioning, but you

surprised us all with your hilarious

acting. I just had to cast you in the

lead. Congratulations.

We can't be Opie. I'm Opie. I'm Opie.

Actually, you're not Opie. I have you

down as I'm not down with anything but

Opie. If I'm not Opie, I don't want to

be in your silly play.

I can't believe it. How could Larry

betray me like that? Remember what I was

saying about jealousy? You can never be

truly happy and at peace with yourself

unless you're happy for others. I'll

just have to show them who the real

actor is.

[Music]

I'm glad you followed me home from the

fishing boat, Captain Fred. I don't know

how I would have dusted my crops without

your nautical engineering knowhow.

You're a brave sailor, Opie. Okra, I may

not know how to fly, but I'll always be

able to soar.

[Music]

Tom, what are you doing? Acting.

Wait,

[Music]

the stage is ruined. This is a disgrace

to weak the musical. O,

[Music]

I heard what happened. Are you okay?

Other than deep guilt and painful

boooos, I guess I'm okay. I'm really

sorry. You know what, Tomato? Look at

what jealousy has done to me. I need to

let go of it. I need to set things

right. That's the spirit, Tom. Thanks,

Tomato.

All right, everyone. Before we can

continue with rehearsals, we'll have to

rebuild the Tom.

Hi, everyone. Look, I'm really sorry I

broke the set. I was jealous of Jack and

Larry and wanted to prove that I was a

better actor. The only thing I proved is

that jealousy can rot your bones. Well,

you know, not literally, but you get the

idea. Will you guys forgive me? I

forgive you. Me, too, buddy. And I

forgive you as well. Also, Tom, you have

amazing set building skills. How'd you

like to be in charge of set design?

Really? Well, I I would love that. I've

always just tinkered with set building,

but I do love it. Well, then it's set. I

got a few more scenes I'd love for you

to design. I'll get started right away.

You're a brave sailor, Opie. Okra, I may

not know how to

fly, but I'll always be able to

soar. Me. Oh my, how I love to fly. I'm

a bird taking wing, climbing up so high.

And the view is sweet above fields of

wheat, over golden waves of grain. I'm a

veggie in a plane. Engine roaring and

I'm soaring, soaring, soaring. I may not

be the world's greatest pilot. Don't

know much about a plane or how to fly

it, but I've got an awesome view of this

land where dreams come true. I'll snip

my case. This step is great. The wings

first rate. If you've got great taste,

then friend, this is the place you ought

to try it. Taking wing like a bird on

high. I'll even sing. I'm a happy guy.

Cuz I got a thing about flying in a

plane. It's never boring when my

engine's roaring. And I'm soaring,

soaring, soaring, soaring, soaring,

soaring, soaring, soaring,

[Music]

soaring ring.

[Music]

Remember kids, God made you special and

he loves you very much.

[Music]

They're unforgettable. They are

incredible.

[Music]

Veggie tail. Broccoli veggie tail.

Celery veggie tail in the city.

[Music]
