sun is here and the asteroid belt is the

net here in the middle there are four

planets on this side mercury venus earth

and mars

these are the inner planets because

they're inside the asteroid belt closer

to the sun

and on the other side of the asteroid

belt there are the other known planets

jupiter saturn uranus neptune and dwarf

pluto they're called the outer planets

because they're outside the asteroid

belt farther away from the sun hey

that's easy to remember inner or inside

and outer are outside precisely so if

we're supposed to travel from inner to

outer and we're here on mercury the next

planet to go to is venus

gas giants, and one is a dwarf planet.

It's mostly ice and rock.

on the right track.

Okay, the rocky planets are Mercury,

Venus, Earth, and Mars. They're made up

mostly of rock and metal. Jupiter,

Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, the gas

giants, are made mostly of liquid and

gas. The gas giants have a lot of rings

and moons.

Maybe that's cuz they're such a gas to

hang around with.

Pluto is a dwarf planet. It's not rocky

or liquid and gas because it's made of

rock and ice.

That's all great, but what can we get

from the planets that'll help our

friends?

Mercury is also made of metal. Maybe
