there were too many to eat all by

herself

so

monkey decided to invite her friend

elephant to come to dinner

she sent a bird with the message

but it turned out that elephant had

found a big bunch of bananas and didn't

want to leave them

so elephant sent the bird back with

another message

please come to dinner here instead

but monkey didn't want to leave either

so back and forth the bird flew until it

was very tired

finally the bird had an idea

why don't you both meet halfway and have

a picnic together

and that's what they did

they had a picnic of figs and bananas

and they learned that sometimes the

solution to a problem is to meet

half way

got the elephant and the monkey to

compromise
