boy i look pretty scary as count dracula

pretending to be scary and pretending to

it's the most awesome fun i wonder what

jenny's gonna be

oh and i wonder what lucy's gonna be

this time

she's always funny in a in a scary way

you know last year she was a mummy all

those bandages

that was just great lucy loves halloween

as much as i do

yup yup another year of scared sillies

at the story place

but first three

aston but i knew it was you i did

trick-or-treat well let me see

these are the children who knocked at

the door and frightened the fiend of

under the floor and shushed the

monster's breathleting roar

they sued the fear semanticore and caged

the werewolf invented the cat

and bandaged the battle that lifted the

house to dragon built

lucy's playing scared silly again at the

story place

scared zilli i remember that from last

year

the story place is all spooky and

halloweeny and lucy hides

and she jumps out and asks us halloween

yeah and if we don't know the answer we

have to give her a treat

but then she puts treats back in our

bags yeah

she thinks we don't know but we do and

she always gives us her special caramel

apples

yum yum it's good silly

it sounds silly and scary

i like it

what halloween story did you bring did

you bring a story about werewolves

nope when you think of halloween what do

you think of

what's it yeah which is a hunt what else

monsters well i think of

jack-o'-lanterns

pumpkins so this story is called big

pumpkin

it was written by erica silverman and

illustrated by sd schindler

it's so funny you'll howl here we go

once there was a witch who wanted to

make a pumpkin pie

so she planted a pumpkin seed she weeded

and watered

and after a while a sprout poked through

and then a pumpkin

grew and it grew and it grew and then it

grew some more

soon halloween was just hours away

the witch thought about pumpkin pie and

bent down to take her pumpkin off the

vine

well she pulled and she tugged

first she pulled hard then she pulled

harder but that pumpkin just sat

said the witch just then along came a

ghost

big pumpkin said the ghost it's bigger

it's mine but it's stuck in the vine

and halloween's just hours away said the

witch

and she kicked that pumpkin i'm bigger

than you

and stronger too boasted the ghost let

me try

said the witch but she thought about

pumpkin pie and stepped aside

the ghost bent down to take the pumpkin

off the vine well he pulled and he

tucked and he pulled first he pulled

hard then he pulled harder

but that pumpkin just sat right

said the ghost

just then along came a vampire

big in its mind but it's stuck in the

vine and halloween's just hours away

just then along came a bat big pumpkin

said the bat the witch didn't say a word

she just looked at the ghost and rolled

her eyes the ghost looked at the vampire

the vampire looked at the mummy

they all looked at the little bat and

they started to laugh

i may not be big and i need not destroy

said the bat

but i have an idea and the bat told them

what to do

said the witch hmm said the ghost

said the vampire hmm said the mummy

they thought about pumpkin pie and bent

down to take the pumpkin off the vine

ready set pool called the bat

the bat pulled the mummy the mummy

pulled the vampire the vampire pulled

the ghost

the ghost pulled the witch and the witch

pulled the pumpkin

well they pulled and they tugged and

they pulled first they pulled hard then

they pulled harder

and snapped

off came the pumpkin drop said the witch

whoosh it flew and it flew

fun it landed on top of a hill and thump

bump thump bump thump bump

it bounced all the way down to the

witch's house when it got to her door

that pumpkin just sat

hooray for the fat shouted the witch and

she hurried inside to make pumpkin pie

[Music]

mmm said the ghost have some more i said

the witch

who didn't eat another bite said the

vampire fun party

said the mummy

time to go said the bat

drat said the witch as she watched them

all leave

then she went right out and planted

another pumpkin seed

the end that was really a funny story

they got it out

yeah they finally got that pumpkin

but it sure was hard for them to make

that pumpkin pie i don't think i've ever

heard a story like that before

i haven't either isn't that amazing wow

wouldn't it be great to have a big

pumpkin like that and make a big pumpkin

one windy afternoon the little old lady

left her cottage

and went for a walk in the forest to

collect herbs and spices

nuts and seeds

she walked so long and so

far that it started to get dark

there was only a sliver of moon

shining through the night

the little old lady started to walk home

suddenly she stopped right

in the middle of the path were two

big shoes and the shoes

went clump clump

get out of my way you two big shoes i'm

not afraid of you

said the little old lady on she walked

down the path

but behind her she could hear two

shoes go clump clump

a little farther on the little old lady

stumbled into a pair of

pants and the pants went

wiggle wiggle

[Music]

get out of my way you parapens i'm not

afraid of you

said the little old lady and she walked

on

but behind her she could hear

two shoes go clop club

and one pair of pants go wiggle wiggle

farther still the little old lady

bumped into a shirt and the shirt went

shake shake

get out of my way you silly shirt i'm

not afraid of you

said the little old lady and on she

walked

a little bit faster but behind

her she could hear two shoes

go clump clump one pair of pants

go wiggle wiggle

and one shirt go shake shake

a little ways on the little old lady

came upon two white gloves and a tall

black hat and the gloves

went clap clap

and the hat went nod nod

get out of my way you two white

gloves and your tall black hat i'm not

afraid of you

she said and on she walked just a little

bit faster

but behind her she could hear two shoes

go

clap close one pair of pants go

wait wait wait wait wait one shirt go

shake shake shake two gloves go

by now the little old lady was walking

at quite a fast pace

she was very near her cottage when she

was startled

by a very huge

very orange very

scary pumpkin head and the head

went

this time the little old lady did not

stop to talk

she did not stop at all she ran

but behind her she could hear two shoes

go clunk clock one pair of pants go

wiggle wiggle one shirt go shake shake

two gloves go one

hat go no nod and one scary pumpkin head

go

boom the little old lady did not look

back

she ran as fast as she could and didn't

stop to catch her breath

until she was safe inside her cottage

with the door locked

she sat in her chair by the fire and she

rocked and she rocked

it was so quiet in her

cottage before the knock knock

on the door should she answer it

well she was not afraid of anything

so she went to the door and opened it

what do you think she saw

two shoes go

one pair of pants go wiggle wiggle

[Music]

one shirt go shake shake

[Music]

and one scary pumpkin head go

[Music]

i'm not afraid of you said the little

old lady bravely

oh what do you want anyway

we've come to scare you

you can't scare me said the little old

lady

then what's to become of us

the pumpkinhead suddenly looked

unhappy

i have an idea said the little old lady

she whispered into the pumpkin's ear

the pumpkin head nodded and its face

seemed to brighten

the little old lady said good night

close the door

and whistled on her way to bed

the next morning she woke up

early she went to her window and looked

out into her garden

and what do you think she saw

two shoes go clap clap

[Music]

one pair of pants go wiggle wiggle

one shirt goes shaky

two gloves go black

[Music]

and scare all the crows

away

[Music]

the end oh that was cool

and i wasn't afraid at all either me

neither

me me neither oh you weren't huh well

good and what did the shoes and the

pants in the hat

and the big scary pumpkin head turn into

a scare

scarecrow right and

look what else i've cooked up in my

witch's
