We all had Red Bulls.

So without further ado, let's begin.
Ash, if I could please

- Something like that.
- I would expect nothing

Let's say one point for you.
Ally, with the bit-o-meter set
midway between bits and no bits,
would you explain how a TV works?
- A TV is working with light
through a series of tubes,
which is why some people call it the tube,
and was coined by my mom,
who invented the TV in 1649.
- Way to toe the line there.
- Hey, thank you.
- That's going to be a
point for you as well.
- Great.
- Zac.
- What am I, chopped liver?
- With the bit-o-meter set to no bits,
would you explain how a TV works?
- You know, electricity
makes light and sound
come through this box, and
then there's a signal coming in
that makes those lights
and sounds appear as, like,
a show that you're watching
from, like, a network
or something like that.
- Well done, Zachary.
I think that was the most sincere
of any of these three takes,
and so I'm going to say
a point for you as well.
Moving right along.
[bit-o-meter wheezing]

- Yeah, that's true.
- Next up, players,
write a breathtaking poem.
- [Zac] f*ck.
- You each have notepads and
pens inside your drawers.
You poems can be however
long or short as you like,
but they must be an
earnest attempt to move us.
You have one minute.
- Oh my god.
- Starting now.
[clock ticking]
And five, four, three, two, one.
[timer cuckooing]
There are also berets inside your drawers.
I'm going to ask you to sport those berets
and read your poetry to
camera, starting with Zac.
If you would please come center here,
and you can direct this to AJ's camera.
- My poem is called "This Old Dog".
[Bongo drum beat]
This old dog sits on the sunny porch
waiting for his best friend.
In time, he'll see him again and smile
and finally cross on to the next world.
[Bongo drum beat]
[everyone snapping]
- Zac, way to play our heartstrings.
Lisa.
[Ally chuckling]
- I've never seen a beret do that.
- Is this crazy?
- It looks like an acorn, a little bit.
- I'm just going to-
- Ow!
- Sam! You guys got that, right?
- You are obsessed with models!
- You guys got that?
- That works.
- [Ally] That's great.
- This poem's called "Exhale".
[Bongo drum beat]
We share a cigarette
outside your mother's house.
White clouds of smoke meet the
white clouds of winter air.
I can't tell which are which.
I only know I'm happy to
share it, this air between us.
I'm only pretending to
inhale. I don't know why.
But you, I am inhaling,
deeply and completely.
These white clouds of air between us,
never wanting to exhale.
[Bongo drum beat]
- Whoa!
- [Sam] Lisa!
- Oh my god!
[everyone snapping]
- [Sam] Damn!
Ally.
- Mine's a lot shorter.
- Hey, listen, this was an
interpretative assignment.
- Great. [sighs]
[Bongo drum beat]
My parents, a sunset.
My child, a sunrise.
I sit here between with a view.
[Bongo drum beat]
[all snapping]
- Damn. I thought that
was pretty profound.
- Thank you.
- This is going to be tough to judge.
- Three poets.
- Three geniuses.
- Pose for the album cover.

Players, next up, offer

- I mean, this is when we
should actually be wearing this.
- That's fine with me.
Choose a fellow player and give them
some actual constructive
criticism on their poem.

I feel like referring to dogs
as man's best friend and stuff
is something that we all
know, it's a turn of phrase.
It could be interesting if
you chose a more specific
way to talk about that, a
personal take on it, yeah.
- Yeah, something that's
like our personal version
of a best friend.
- Yeah.
- I like that.
- Ally, any feedback?
- I didn't have any notes. I don't know.
Zac, with the dog.
[all laughing]
- Zac?
- Did it have a title?
- "This Old House".
- Yeah, yeah, if you
take that beat up top,
we will be kind of set up
to sort of inhale the poem.
I'm waiting on a tea.
- We've been waiting on a
pot of Moroccan mint tea.
