another mystery I don't know what it is

but it was here when I woke up we could

take a little Peak oh but the sign says

do not remove oh he'll never know just

ity we're just dying to know what's

under that little orange cloth I'll bet

you are it's a sculpture for the Hall of

Frames I've been working on it for weeks

now what's a sculpture Pap well a

sculpture is like a statue you make it

out of clay or different materials you

won't have to wait long to see my

creation I'm showing it for the first

time this afternoon at the special

ceremony it'll be broadcast on py Vision

we can watch the ceremony on TV but uh

how about a sneak peek it's a surprise

Elmer you're going to have to wait till

this afternoon knock knock oh hey buddy

bear hi papy I was on my way to the Hall

of Frames with my sculpture and I

thought you might like me to take yours

down too that's a great idea I have a

lot of things to do before the ceremony

thanks buddy sure all right just lift

this up oh yes

ooh oh oh and that don't peek under the

cloth I want it to be a surprise for

you and a surprise for you too Ricardo

and you Michaela and Laura and Leland

and Bob and Angela and Jake and Paulina

I want this to be a surprise for

everyone now there's so much to do so

much to do I have to pick up a tuxedo

I've got to get the

I wonder what kind of sculpture papy

made I'll bet it's really good he always

works so hard on his

Creations I don't know about this toal

his is so artistic just one little look

at this sculp sh you heard buddy papy

wonder if it's a giant sculpture of a

lollipop pop tree or maybe it's a yo-yo

today everyone worked really hard but

there's still one left oh I can't look

it'll be fine ladies and gentlemen the

sculpture I've been waiting to share

with all of

you voila I call it true

friends oh my bug what did you do youed

to my I didn't is on Doodle bug's body

and why do I have Turtle Lo's hair I

don't understand it this is not what I

made you know buddy when I gave it to

you it was fine I didn't touch it I

didn't even peek but I thought I heard

voices when I brought it in here and I

found

this a

doodle papy I can explain what happened

was that Dole bu what happened was

really that the turtle and I we are not

going to believe this one well we came

by the Hall of Frames to make sure that

your sculpture was safe right yes

exactly and then a huge dog it was a dog

right a dog no it was a rhinocerus well

it came running right in the Hall of

Frames we had to get away fast right oh

we did so we found these uh buper

cars hey well anyway we got in now right

and the rhosus was chasing us and the r

what did he do he clipped on a banana

pill that's it and it crashed into up

circus setting off a cannon and then

that Cannonball crash right back here

into your sculpture andp guess what

happened well that may be the biggest

Whopper of a tail I've ever heard uhoh

Dole bug you told me earlier that you

got too excited and broke something that

doesn't sound like the story you just

told wa wait oh don't worry poy we can

glue the heads back on the right way I'm

not sad because of the sculpture I'm sad

because I feel someone is not being

honest with me why don't you draw a

picture that always helps when times are

tough that's a good idea Chucky RH

mous well boys and girls get your papers

and pencils ready I'm going to draw a

picture of two friends playing I'm going

to start off by drawing one boy here and

then I'll draw the second boy over in

this area and I'm going to start right

here

and draw the little boy's

nose all righty and we'll just draw a

curve line like

that and bring it down you see that

that's a nose and a

chin and we'll draw his ear you see that

all right and we'll put one dot right

there for his

eye okay now let's draw a curved

line just like

that see how it comes to a point see

that now let's bring this

around and stop right at the ear there

you go that's his hair do all right now

we'll just curve that right there now

let's put a smile on his face he's

flying a cut TI and he's very happy so

let's put a curved line like

that very good now let's draw his body

and I'll start out by drawing his shirt

he's wearing a t-shirt so we'll put a

curve line like that or actually it's

not a curved line it's a straight

line and we'll bring this line over

here and that's the bottom of his

T-shirt we'll bring it up and stop right

there

there now let's bring it

over and starting here bring that line

over and back

down all right we'll draw one arm over

here just like that now let's do some

looping lines I like doing looping lines

and those are

fingers

and don't worry if there's only four

fingers it's a a cartoon it's okay all

righty we'll bring this

over and another one and that's his

other arm and he's holding a kite so

let's just curve that line stop right

there and watch what I do

here another curved line bring it

around and he's holding a stick that has

the kite string on

it so let's draw the

[Music]

stick

there all righty now let's draw the

little

boys shorts he's wearing shorts so we'll

bring a line down like that bring it

[Music]

over and bring it

up and there that's the end of his

shorts and down here he's wearing a a

sock on one foot here see that that'll

be the sock and that's part of his

shorts now let's just put a foot right

here good and let's just bring this line

up like that yep he needs his other leg

so we put a line there bring it up and

connect it and now let's bring this over

like

that another sock

here now we're ready for his other foot

there we

go all

righty now we standing on the ground so

let's put a curv line like

this there we go bring it over and stop

right there and now let's draw the other

boy and I'm going to start with his nose

just like that

and we'll

bring this line over for his

mouth and now a curved line for his chin

there we go let's draw an

ear all right now we'll put one dot

right there for his eye now let's draw a

curved line that's the bottom of his

hair and it'll end there bring it

around there the top of his head there

we go all right now let's draw his

T-shirt bring that line down and over

and do the same here down and over now

we'll bring this line straight down stop

bring it over and back up good all right

let's draw shorts so we'll put one

straight line there and bring it all the

way over and back up good now let's draw

a straight line right

there all right okay now we're going to

draw his leg so we put a line there and

another one on the other side now let's

show the top of his socks see

that all right bring it down and bring

it around to top of that sock and now

this one all right you see that all

right now let's do his his

shoes there we go one shoe

there

and we'll put another one right on the

other side

good now let's continue this line you

see this line here we want to continue

it right behind the little boy you see

it right behind him all right see there

see it's behind him

now now he's holding a kite so let's

let's draw the string that leads right

to the kite

just

like so bring it over over bring it up

stop all right now let's draw the kite

it's kind of like a diamond

shape you know what a diamond shape

looks like here let me show you this is

a diamond shape here we

go bring it up here

down and that's the shape of a kite like

a diamond shape we'll put a stick across

there connect the string and bring the

other stick up like that very good you

can have fun and put a tail on your kite

or maybe put some designs on the little

boy's t-shirt or a number on his shirt

just have fun and stripes and use your

own

imagination there I'm finished that's

great wow now let's see if there's a

lesson to be learned from our drawing

that oh I forgive you

well what do you think well the boy that

lost the kite could have made an excuse

so his friend wouldn't be mad at him but

he just apologized and it was okay

that's right Doodlebug being a good

friend is more important than an object

or a toy like a kite or even a sculpture

okay okay pey I must confess we oh I

mean I wanted to see your sculpture I

know you said not to but I guess my

curiosity got the better of me I'm sorry

I didn't tell you the truth but I'd be

afraid you'd be mad at me doodle bug my

friends mean more to me than anything

even a favorite sculpture and true

friends tell each other the truth I'm

glad you decided to be a true friend me

too I felt pretty miserable before but

now I feel like singing oh yes wow what

an idea great idea everybody I feel a

song coming on too oh sing a song I'm

right here papy and I've got a song for

you about true

friends true friends are better than

gold they can't be bought they can't be

sold friends are

faithful through good times and through

bad times and true friends are treasure

indeed and more than all the things we

need friends are

honest even when it hurts a little true

friend like you I can color true

blue what we have will stand the test of

time and trouble friends that are true

new that's why I'm glad

pictures the kids sent in oh yeah great

idea in fact let's go to the hall of

frame oh puy yeah we're already

here all right so we are let's take a

look around and see some of the other

great works on display all right nice

idea all righty look at

prettiest pictures I'd love to see your

special drwings hanging in here too boys

and girls you can you know just send

them to me papy drew it to the address

at the end of the show and don't forget

to put your name age and address on them

I'd like to know the Great Iris whose

works of art I'm admiring and remember

there's no limitation to your

imagination py there's something else I

have to tell you uh uh-oh what is it

Doodlebug you haven't colored in your

drawing yet whoops I almost forgot and

I'm going to go look around some

more okay boys and girls get out your

cray and markers because we're going to

color our picture of the two boys flying

the

Kite I'm going to start with this color

it's a very nice color for the little

boy's

hair

and it's important that you choose your

own

color and

colors for whatever it is you want to

color

because it's important that you use your

own

ideas and I love it when you use your

own ideas all righty

now I'm going to put some stripes on

this shirt and you could put polka dots

on your shirt or you might want to color

it any color you wish I'm going to put

stripes and I'm using this bright color

it's called

magenta and it's a very bright color and

I'll put another stripe right

there like

so and another stripe right there and

I'll put another Stripe Right on his

sleeve look at that he has stripes on

his shirt all righty now I'm going to

color in the shorts and I think this

bright blue is a very good

choice there we

go very

good now I'll color in the little boy

socks with the same color that's a good

idea I see somebody's using yellow for

the socks good idea good

choice I'm going to color in his

shoes

and I'm going to leave a little

highlight right

here see that and we'll do the same for

the other

shoe very

nice now I'm going to color in the other

little boy shirt and I think orange is a

nice color for a

shirt there we

go I really enjoy coloring with you boys

and

girls so much fun to

color there hm how about yellow for the

little

boy's hair look at

that all

righty I see somebody chose black that's

a good choice good choice very good all

right now I'm going to color in his

shorts

yellow here we

go that looks pretty good

now I'm going to color in his

socks with this

color nice and

bright now I'm going to use Brown for

his shoes

so I'll begin here and leave that little

highlight that's a very nice little

effect when you leave that little white

spot it makes the shoes look

shiny and a will help make your drawing

look a little bit

better see it makes the shoes look shiny

and that's a nice effect all

right now I'm going to color in the

little boy's face using this color

here very

lightly again you can

choose color you

wish just have fun the important thing

is to enjoy yourself

there we

go and I'll just color that in around

there

and color in the

face part of his leg showing right there

and here's a nice color for the

kite now when you're when you're done

coloring you might want to add some some

of your own

ideas I'm going to color in

this little stick yellow here the string

is connected to the stick there and I'm

going to

indicate like

so

some

grass like

that very

nice and that just shows they're

standing on on a lawn or in a park

somewhere or wherever it's

green very nice now the important thing

is to have fun and use your own ideas so

I think I'm going to put a cloud right

here look at that and bring that

around and maybe I'll

just throw some shading on the bottom of

the cloud like that you might want you

might want to add some

birds or

trees use your own

ideas there I'm all done hey Sunny don't

you know what time it is come oh wow I

lost track of the time it's already

quarter of orange well it's time for me
