ourselves inspired how should we get our

inspiration today did somebody say a

wishing will wish I had thought of that

the wishing real boys and girls the

wheel will tell us which place will be

visiting today and a new today's special

pappyland friend is and let's not do it

when you throw before you start to be

you should decide learn how to think

things through by practicing my own

drawings how do we draw a picture for

you binky they were going to go a very

special picture of our bird next to his

nest I want to start by drawing the tree

first and we'll start by making a line

that's somewhat curb and we'll stop

right there let's draw the other side of

the tree by starting ready at this point

we're going to stop evil space is we're

going to draw something there in a while

and bring it down again and stop right

there even though the room space we're

going to draw another branch there in a

moment and bring that down I can see the

shape of the tree starting off already

it's doesn't look real good all right I

like to put some knees on the top of

this tree are you ready let's do it okay

if I put as many wheezes as you would

like to put on the top of this tree but

Abby's gonna just do so many air 123

but some armies on the street and it's a

big tree there's a lot of will do that

like that you will just show some more

these are they don't leave like this

right now I'll its pieces that Debbie

shows you where I didn't want you to

complete the line right where that space

is let's start by making a branch and

won't put the pin point while you're

clean point right here or your marker it

will bring it over stop all right

starting at this other point let's bring

it over bring it up you starting right

here let's bring that line down and stop

right there and right here bring this

way over let's put another branch coming

off starting right here we go there's a

lot of branches off the main branch now

we're going to put some lead on the end

of that branch okay let's start right

here at this point good and will

continue what are these right here at

the end of this branch just like so very

good you can make your knees any shape

it like but do they do look like leaves

all right whoops I forgot to put some

knees on this branch here we go or we

haven't got time to put all the leaves

on the tree doing all right right below

here is another range and it's big is

this branch so let's make a little bit

smaller all right starting right here

bring it out and stop starting there but

don't connect it make another move

almost looks like a dad doesn't think he

has a reason for that is that right here

bringing this in stop now let's start

right here by making another branch good

we need to put this other line over

tree itself host our ideas so it looks

like a branch will be complete bring

we'll start by doing the shape of the

bird first so foul Pappy we'll start

right here and you'll bring that lying

down and stop we'll bring this slurry

and stop and we're going to put two eyes

on our bird so we'll put those right

here by using circles one good let's put

bats in the middle of those circles okay

that always makes it look like the eyes

are looking at us one we go now let's do

the top of the bird's head and it's a

very small line right there can you see

that moistener for here we're going to

blow a little curve line and that's the

top of the bird's head all right now the

bird needs to be nore can't eat his

words Kenny all right let's put the beak

on the bird put the beak on the bird

that sounds cute okay starting right

here will bring that line down do the

same time you're the side did you see

that we brought that line down

now let's put some wings on our bird and

that's justice heard of lying like soul

and another one just to indicate that is

his wings are at aside so there wouldn't

be no more than just those two curved

lines we put on there now right we're

going to put the birds be okay and that

shows that he has a rule laws our feet

on the branch all right now let's put

the tail feathers on the bird are you

feather making a loop to show that

that's a feather another loop and bring

it back up that's a cute bird all right

let's let's show some bark on our on our

tree by just showing a series of little

lines like this nothing complicated just

simple little curve lines here and there

on the side here to show that it's kind

of a bumpy has a bumpy texture to it so

it but the tree has Fire doesn't it all

right let's draw the the nest which is

right next to the bird we'll just do a

series of lines like this to show that

experiences and twigs and so forth just

like that alright let's put a couple

eggs in our nest would you like that you

can put two or three or four isn't what

as many ages you like I'm going to show

two eggs here we go

well how many did you put in here i'm

going to put another one bout that you

already drew too didn't ya he is so fast

you're all such good artist alright

but now we need to think about doing

some of our own I heard everything you

were saying to binky about thinking

things through but yes and there's

something I've been thinking through you

know that great big apple pie you baked

in the cabin the other day you need the

one you kept wanting to finish when

there was just one piece left for me

exactly so what did you think crew Wow

first I thought about the nice juicy

piece of apple pie that was left I

thought about how delicious that pie

would taste with a tall glass of cold

milk I thought I have to take a big bite

of that piece of apple pie so I could

make sure that it tasted as good as it

looked are you trying to tell me

something let it be some apple pie I

thought through well excuse me that's ok

Albert I was going to offer to you

anyways if you're really through

though you would have realized that you

should've asked me if you could have my

only piece of pie before you eat it I

know baby next time I'll try to think it

all the way through instead of just part

of the way good idea now what do you say

we think about getting ready to color I

see girls and boys have you thought

through what you

needs so we can conquer I'll bet you

have we need you to get some crayons or

colored pencils or markers or if you

can't find any of those you could try

using your imagination of color that can

be loads of fun too let's begin coloring

our picture by calling you the tree

using the color brown all right because

everybody had their bra getting ready oh

wait a second time's up okay I'm going

to start by covering in this tree here

using ground I just being very careful

not to go to the green area because

that's where the laser to the e they're

gonna be happy it going to bear down on

the left side on this side here I'm

gonna bear down so that it's nice and

dark like that now as I go to the other

side I get closer to this side here i'm

going to lighten up my clan which means

they won't put put that much pressure on

it i'll just go lighter and lighter as i

go to the other side good see that

creates a shadow by making this side

dark and that side light we've now

indicated that there's light on the side

of the tree here where the Sun is

hitting it there you go and then we'll

do the same here I'll bear down on the

bottom of that breakage

solid there and then go very light like

that and do the same on this other brain

indicate a little bit around the edge

okay now I'd like to take my lunch bran

and in this area right here well we've

left it very light I'm going to go back

with my orange grin I'm gonna fit right

in now follow Pappy here we go he's

going back with his orange crayon out

right over the ground see it's fun to go

over a car isn't it see that you can mix

and match the colors and just have so

much fun here we go and I'm not afraid

to go right over the ground with my

orange cream just like that very good

and then I'm going to continue over here

with the orange yes like I did the fun

of our tree now he's gonna get real bold

and he's gonna take these jumbo yellow

clan and I'm gonna go over the arm I'm

gonna match and mix and change the color

this tree mix it up and I'm going to

continue with the yellow over here just

like that good that looks pretty good

boys and girls now let's go and not

coloring our knees okay and I think most

of us know what the color her go the

tree leaves are some cases their light

green in some cases numerically but

we're going to use a darkly plan for our

tree all you can use whatever call you

like

right there we don't want to go off our

page so happy she get it right there

coloring in the leaves oh I can almost

hear the wind blowing through the leaves

I tell you boys and girls I'm so glad

that you could color with me I just I

just love having you with me when I'm

coloring now let's start on the other

side of the branch and do the other

leaves okay here we go using a green

again very good do you remember what its

little bird did when his nest started to

fall because the little branch broke

that's right eat boo darling got the

nest and put it back up on a bigger

stronger branch I bet their birth

remembers that think things through next

time before he decides where to put his

nest thinking about things and making

four years before we do something is a

very good idea okay now i think i'm

gonna color this nest orange and i'm

gonna bear down so we get a nice boy

color orange like that

well my is looking pretty good all right

let's see now I want to color the bird

does anybody is what what oh that bird

could be pick up if you say red that's a

very bright colorful color I think

that's a good idea I see if I have a red

crayon yes I do and here it is and we're

going to call our bird

oh I was taking a walk through Pepe when

the other day I noticed there was a red

bird first down a tree tail feathers

very careful now why don't we color the

eggs all right let's color these awake

school this is a good opportunity for

even weight back right in the center of

a dude and a little right there on the

other edge and we have to go clean off

my drawing here very good now let's

color the beak orange little feet and I

think I missed a spot on his head here

put the brand's away and take a look

here

good now hold up your picture so I can

see what a super peppy lifted job you've

done today let's see here that's a good

one that's wonderful I can see that

you're thinking through your coloring

ideas if your picture looks a little

different from mine that's good because

it means you've used some of your own

ideas glow with Barnes online hey don't
