today boys and girls we're going to draw

a mother hen and three little chicks

first because she's in the front and

we'll start with the top of her head and

that's just a curve line

now we're going to start at this point

right here and we're going to show the

bottom of the hand okay and it's kind of

a line just like that just follow what

I'm doing see it's going to be a curve

line now when I do it you follow along

and I'll do it slow so that you can

follow along here we go

just like that and bring it around and

up and stop right there good how does

this look I bet it looks great ok let's

continue at this point right here

bring that down

and continue around with one loop and

two loops and three loops and four loops

okay that's starting to look like

something now okay right here at this

point let's bring it over to show the

hands back and now we're going to show

the tail feathers we're going to show

tail feathers and those are the tail

feathers are not the other end okay the

opposite end of the other hands head

okay we'll do that by starting right

here at this point and one loop two and

three loops good now we're gonna put an

eye on the hand okay and we'll do that

by drawing a circle

just like

this one good and put a little black dot

in the center

and that shows the head is looking at

something she's looking forward okay and

what we're going to put a line right

here to show the beak that's the birds

beak and on the top of that on the top

of the handlers like a a fleshy part it

kind of red and it kind of Wiggles

around if you've ever seen farm animals

or a hand on a farm in a picture or on

TV or something you notice the hands got

that little Wiggy fleshy thing on a

copper out of her head and we'll just do

that by drawing one loop 2 loops and

three loops

good

okay now we have to show the wing

we have to show the wings on our hand

okay and did you know that it Hannah is

a female it's a female bird isn't it

well if you didn't know epi told you

ok now the wing will start right here

and bring that line over just like that

and that'll suggest a wing good now

let's do the birds feet because the hand

is walking and we'll start by putting

one line here and looping around and

doing another loop and looping around

and stopping and bringing that line

right up like that there's 11 / 10 feet

okay and we'll show the other foot by

starting right here and drawing a curve

line there and do the same thing and

stop and I hope draw a swan to

meet loops dad okay it's time to do our

three little chicks are you ready and

they're all in a row so a number will

draw one then the next one and then the

third one and if you and if you haven't

finished them the first one the first

drawing that we did which is mama hen

here if you're not finished don't worry

about it you can always go back and look

at and look at it again and finish it up

take your time i'm gonna draw the little

chicks now so follow along at your own

pace here we go we'll put one curve line

there and a little beep by doing that

right there that's the top of the chicks

head and we'll swing around with like

that and start at this point and do two

loops good let's do the same thing on

the next one whoa curva lying around

like that put a little beak just like

that bring this line around and two

loops good there's two chicks will do

the same thing on the third one won't

curve that line around draw a little

beak good and we'll swing that line

around and up and two more loops good

yeah I can see that three chicks

following mon ahead now with the ISO

will put two little dots on each one of

our little chicks here we go one not two

guys twice

one dot two dots that's twice that's

four eyes all together

and one dot two dots that's the total of

six eyes on our checks okay that's

looking real good now what we want to do

is we want to put the legs on the little

chicks because they're following along

with mama hen okay we'll put one line

there

we'll put one line there for another way

and

another line there for the other leg

good and we'll put the little toes on

like that that's one curve line to curb

lines and three curve lines okay and

we'll do the same thing here

just like that it's just small little

curve line starting right at the point

or that line ended one curve line duker

lines good and make sure I put the other

hole right there good now he needs it

looks like you don't have one leg and

they do don't they so we'll put the

other leg on there right now here we go

one curve line cuz the leg is kind of

moving back little chicks are walking

and we'll put another curve line there

just like that now they need some toes

to soul for one two three lines like

our chicks have all their teeth and

their and they're ready to walk now the

only thing I noticed that these chicks

don't have our wings and we'll do that

right now and that's just a curve line

to color a picture

let's begin coloring the mother hen and

the three chicks by using the color

yellow all right

that's so cute one two three little

chickadees over your chick and their

chicks actually so we'll call a little

chicks and their yellow so I'm using my

yellow crayon

and we're gonna call him the last one

here well work our way over

well one little chick is done let's go

to the next one and we'll go ahead and

yell like we'd be the other one

I'll take your time now if that is going

too fast for it I want you to just take

your time okay

we'll have three little chicks colored

there we go pretty chicks in a row in

their yellow all right I make it take my

orange cran and put a little shadow

underneath these three chicks okay i

watch it Pappy does you'll just add a

little bit of orange

and you'll do the same over here to the

next chick and I'll do the same thing to

the next one

yeah that looks very nice don't be

afraid to put friends over crayons you

can put a color over a color if you like

it's there's no problem with that in

fact when your mix colors you can you'll

be you'll be doing that quite a bit when

you mix your colors and Pappy is going

to show you out of mixing colors

okay that looks very good alrighty let's

red ok we'll make the top part this hand

red alright get your red crayon out and

you can use any color that you'd like

any color combination that you like is

lined with happy because it's your own

imagination that you're using in when

you use your own imagination you can

come up with your own ideas

don't feel free to use any color

combination that you please all right

the top part over here this little piece

on top of the

top of the hand here will make that pink

that looks very nice and goes very nice

with the red do

hurry here so we wanted to be as neat as

possible so take your time alright let's

do the hands beak and I'd like to use

the color orange for the beak okay

and we'll start by car eating right here

very good i'm gonna i'm going to start

indicating awesome let's see the walking

I aren't in the farm okay in front of

the bar and there's some hang on the

ground and I think they use golden

yellow color so we'll use our yellow

crane to indicate that you're walking

some here and i'll do that by just

making these strokes like this keep

happy very loose valleys just indicating

some straw hey just like that

brown Craig now I'm going to

indicate some more lines like that

there's some darker pieces of straw or
