hi everybody welcome to another exciting

day in pappyland hello Lily are you

thank you hiya Pat hi Becky how are you

today

don't you know what time it is yes it's

blue after two time for today's happy

land adventure to begin now how should

we get started

hmm let's see there's the puppy pad

Express fishing wheel Oh puppies go our

happy pet Express excellent idea

do you remember how this works boys and

girls first I get my marker and I turn

this switch on and you help me count

backwards by or three to one contact

Wow we're in the bus lands this is great

look at all that color you want to

follow me to that cliff

then let's go hmm I bet that rascal

pinky will be there

he always packs up when I go to the

brush plans

look boys and girls my drawing table

hiya pappy drew-it do you know who that

is you almost beat me here let's need

down here beauty

wash we didn't know who we were going to

find in the brush lands today but we're

glad it's you binky you look good did

you change your hair I thought I saw a

green in your hair at the cabin that's

because I was painting a grass and Pappy

lab but I've watched it since then

what color are you going to dip your

hair in next I don't know why don't you

pick a color and you can use me to teach

the children how to paint your pictures

but we haven't learned to draw today's

picture yet we have to do things in

order you know

first things first oh well I guess I'm

gonna have to pick a cot around my eyes

but there are so many choices Pappy yes

there are many colors to choose from let

me see hmm for this shine white for the

crowd maybe even brown for the trees and

clean no paint for some of the flowers

yeah and blue for the sky there sure are

lots of choices you know what binky what

you've given me an idea about what to

draw today aha Wow and by reminding me

that there's something that helped us to

make good choices like that

understanding our priorities i watch

priorities what's that I tell you what

you pay close attention to what the

children and I learned to draw today and

I'm sure you'll learn something about it

but shouldn't I call pay first and then

watch you draw it all depends upon your

priorities I don't even know what

priorities means can you help me decide

sure I think your first priority is to

learn what priority means so pay close

attention okay Pappy

I'm gonna stand right here and watch so

I can long good okay girls and boys it's

time to draw get out your markers are

your Quinn's we're going to learn to

draw a very special picture I'm going to

start out by drawing the number one

right in this area and let's begin right

here over throw it around and bring it

up there's number one now we'll do two

and three two and three all righty

starting right here now bring a curb

line all the way around just like that

it almost look like a question mark

bring it around and there's our number

two all right let's do a number three

and I'm going to start right here and

again some more curved lines

stop and bring it around and there's our

number three hmm now let's make

something out of the number one what

could we make out of the number one I

have an idea let's put a circle right

here and another one right next to it

and those are his eyes you see looks

like he has a nose doesn't it so I'm

making a face out of the number one see

that nose let's put a mustache right

below that nose too

all right right here in this area will

draw that mustache one two three just a

bunch of lines from from the bottom of

his nose there's his mustache let's just

show that he's wearing a pair of

trousers that we draw a line there and

let's put the arm behind his back like

he's pulling his arm behind

is back and show the other hand coming

out like he's saying hello everybody all

right let's show that these are his legs

here so let's just put one line there

and a curved line to show its foot and

there's this deep very good

a little man now let's work on number

two hmm what can we make out of the

number two no I see eyes again so we'll

put a circle there and a circle right

there hmm

kind of looks like a snake or hmm what

can it be

that's a little serpent a sea serpent or

something like that and we'll put a

smile on his face there we go now right

here good got some little cute little

fins

purrs hands there we go

another one like there now let's put

some polka dots on the back of our sea

serpent one polka dot there and another

one and you can put as many polka dots

as you wish on your cartoon I'll draw

one more right there here we go now

let's do number three mm-hmm let's see I

see something let's start out with the

eyes again

they're like drawing the eyes first and

we'll put a circle right here and

another little circle there mm-hmm

can you guess what it is well let's put

some lips on our little cartoon Wow look

at that it looks like a fish already

look you see that all right now we'll

put some dorsal fins on the fish because

they have fins so starting right here

let's just put some curved lines just

like that

there we go now let's just make it look

like the tail of the fish just

connecting it right there now it looks

like the fish is on top of something

there and now let's do one of his gills

here and we and we'll just put a curved

line right there that's that's his Gill

now I'm going to indicate some curved

lines or little scales on our fish and

right below let's just show some texture

on this yeah now let's indicate some

shadows underneath our numbers and

that's just a small curved lines like

that little Wiggly lines see that now

we'll do it again right here and there

well that's a drawing of number 1 2 & 3

there did you see that binky yes I did I

always have something to do with doing

things in order very good

you know what color to dip your hair in

now yes

I didn't finish painting all the grass

yet so I'm going to dip my hair into the

green paint and finish the grass before

I go into the next color

that's good thinking binky you know your

priorities well speaking of priorities

the children and I have to get back to

the cabin to learn how to color our

picture now that we've drawn our

pictures our next priority is to color

them goodbye binky see

yeah failure okay boys and girls now is

the time to get your crayons markers and

colored pencils because we're about to

color alright let's begin by coloring

our number 1 with my orange brand and

I'm going to leave a little highlight

which is the white spot right at the tip

of his nose

that's called a highlight and just color

in his face

and fill that right in like so

now let's color in his his arm his hands

there we go right there

now let's color in his trousers I think

I'm going to choose mm color Oh purple

and continue coloring his trousers

losing my purple brand

and you can choose any color that you

wish and have fun coloring I really

enjoy calling with you boys and girls

and we'll just fill that right in

there that looks pretty good now let's

go to number two our sea serpent and I

think this green crayon will be a very

nice color

[Music]

kind of a yellow-green color I'll use

the side of my cran you see how see how

I use the side of the cran boys and

girls sometimes I like the color using

the side of my train you can hold a

crane and the way you like that B likes

to use this side of the crane sometimes

there we go

hear that that's a very nice bright lime

green together why did I just keep

filling that right in mm-hmm

la la la la la I just enjoy coloring

here we go

remember it's fun to use your

imagination and be very creative so

choose any color that you'd like and

remember you can add your own design or

designs to your cartoons

you could put stripes on this

sea-serpent if you'd like I put polka

dots but you can put your own designs on

your on your cartoons and that's using

your imagination now I'm going to use my

dark green crayon to shade the bottom of

the sea serpent you see that watch what

I'm doing I'm coloring in the bottom

portion of the sea serpent they're the

number two

it helps to give it some shape and it's

called shading that's what we're doing

we're gonna shade right around there you

see that

it just helps to give it more shape

here we go

yeah that means the lights coming down

from the top see so the bottom of the

number two would be darker because the

lights shining down from the top and

right over here will indicate some more

shading just like so

very nice now let's power in those polka

dots

what's your favorite color Nancy oh I

like that color there we'll just color

that in now let's color in there's eyes

with my hello

yeah and that looks very nice let's do

the fish now and I think I'll choose hmm

why not choose yellow again I think

yellow is a real nice color for the fish

so I'll use my yellow plant again

Oh something you use blue for your fish

good choice

there we go just fill that right in

that looks very nice

notice how I'm holding my crayons yeah

I'm holding it there's two ways like

this and like that you see there's two

ways to hold your Tran and whatever is

comfortable for you whatever works for

you is very important that you use that

technique so that you can color

comfortably now I'm going to use my

purple plan and I'm going to just shade

in the top part of the fish starting

right here and I'll work my way up

around yes like so just like we did on

the on the number two you see that

purple over yellow makes a golden brown

that's right

mixing purple and yellow make golden

brown can you see that

have fun and mix colors when you call it

that's what makes coloring so much fun

all right I'm going to choose red for

look for the lips on our fish

yeah even those little highlights make

the lips look shiny see that hair now

I'll grab mmm let's see here I think

maybe I'll color this area with my blue

crayon I think the blue cran yes here it

is

and we'll color that right in and I

think I'm going to shade the bottom of

this shape it could be a stone or

something you almost looks like a statue

doesn't he and this is the bottom

portion of the statue and he's carved

out a stone or something

now we'll just finish coloring the

bottom part of our number three

leaving that highlight and

just touch up some areas here

that's looking very nice

more there

a little more over here very nice

wow that looks very good

now let's indicate some shadows but

before I do that I'd like to tell her in

the fishes fins over here before we

forget there we go and now let's color

in the shadow beneath the numbers

a new use my

like an orange reddish orange grin and

just indicate some shadow yeah

now let's see your drawings Wow

excellent they all should be in the

hollow friends

speaking of the hall frames let's go

aren't these pictures Pepe errific and

each one is special in their own way

you can create your own pictures all you

need is some crayons and paper and

you'll see when you start on your

pictures that the magic within you

starts growing and the colors and shapes

that surround you all begin to appear on

the paper

I can try so can you and it's easy and

so so much fun and your world is filled

with color and you've made it all on

your own who watch me drive let me see

there's a house in a tree and a car

that's not all I can see you can draw

wherever you are

when you've created your pictures you

can show them all to your friends and

pictures you like best of all

hang them up on the wall

and the colors and shapes that surround

you I'll begin to bright in your word I

can drive

so can you and it's easy and so so much

fun and your world is filled with color

and you've made it all on her own

see you can draw wherever you are

and you can drive whoever you are

for you I'm going to show you a way to

copy a drawing to another piece of paper

get a pencil take your original drawing

and turn it over like this

now I'll rub your pencil on the back of

the drawing filling in the area all

around that drawing just like this now

take your original drawing and put it

down onto the new piece of paper where

you want to make your copy now Pepe's

going to redraw the drawing just follow

along pressing down as you copy your

drawing again press down very good and

I'm just redrawing this drawing exactly

the thing Hey good now we move your

original drawing and look there's an

exact copy drawing is so much fun oh my

it's quarter to orange already time for
