I heard there's a green-eyed monster here.

No, no, don't worry.

This monster isn't real and it isn't scary.

The green-eyed monster is what earth people call jealousy.

But what is jealousy? Come on, let's find out!

it's just a feeling.

It seems Nick might've been feeling jealous

about Michael and his new guitar.

- Who, me? Jealous!?

- [All Kids] Wow.

- Well, I've kind of been wanting to take guitar lessons.

- Hmm. So, you were jealous, Nick.

- Right. Accessing data. Hmm. Hmm.

- Green-eared gerflits?

- Is that what they call

the green-eyed monster on their planet?

- [Dooley And M.A.R.T.I.E.] Uh-huh. Yeah.

- Oh, you two! When someone has something

that we don't have, or does something

that we like to do, we sometimes feel jealous

and that's what's called the green-eyed monster.

- Jealousy isn't a scary feeling,

but, well, it does feel kind of weird inside.

- Oh. So no real monster?

- No gerflits. Phew.

- The green-eyed monster isn't real,

but jealousy is a very real feeling.

And if we share with our friends,

we can make our jealous feelings disappear.

- We'll chase the green-eyed monster away.

- Well, I would love it if it was my helmet.

- Zoom! What happened to I'll never, ever, ever, ever

ever be jealous and all that stuff?

- Uh, that was before I saw your helmet.

- Ooh. Ugh.

(upbeat music)

- Hi everybody.

- [All] Hey, Mrs. Z.

- Guess what, Mrs. Z?

The green eyed monster visited Nick this morning.

- Yeah. I really want a guitar like the one Michael got,

but when he shared his guitar with me,

the monster went away.

(Nick strums the guitar)

- I think the monster was afraid of the noise.

(Mrs. Z laughs)

- You're teasing me. I know what the green-eyed monster is.

It's jealousy and it begins with a great big...

- Letter J.

- J is for jealousy.

- Oh yeah, jealousy.

It's that strange icky feeling inside of you

- And J is for jamming.

I was really jamming on the guitar.

Well, I guess I could use a little practice.

- Well, I could help you, Nick.

I used to play the guitar.

- You did?

- Sure. It all started a long time ago.

My sister played the tuba and boy,

the green-eyed monster had me. I was so jealous.

I wanted to learn to play an instrument.

- So you learned the guitar?

- I sure did. And I also learned

there are plenty of ways to make music

even without instruments.

- [All] Yeah!

Ever since my ship landed here on Earth,

Today I found out what the green-eyed monster is.

It's not a real monster.

It's a feeling called jealousy.

Nick felt jealous of Michael's new guitar

but Michael chased the green Knight monster away

by sharing his guitar with Nick.

Mrs.Z brought us the letter J and showed us all

how to make music using our bodies as instruments.
