I mean, you even get a wish on your birthday?

- What's wrong Marty?

- I'll never have a birthday.

I was never born.

I was made from parts. Ooh.

- Aw Marty.

- Even my cat has a birthday.

- Wait, I know what we can do.

- What?

- Throw Marty a party anyway.

- Good idea Max. If Marty never had a birthday,

we can just give him one.

- It'll be a surprise party.

- A surprise party. Woohoo!

What's a surprise?

- It's something you don't know you want until you get it.

- Yeah. It's on something great happens

that you didn't expect.

- Marty won't be expecting anything.

And then all of a sudden there's a party.

- Oh!

- Here's what we have to do.

- You know Zoom, it's my birthday too.

- Those whipplebees sure fly

when you hop aboard a spaceship for a ride.

- They sure do.

And today it's my birthday.

I am older than you now.

And you know what that means?

- That we should party?

- Well that too.

But it also means that you should do

everything I say, because I'm the oldest.

- What? How come?

- Because I'm the oldest.

And the oldest one gets to decide.

- All the time?

- Yup. That's the way it works.

I tell you what to do and you do it.

- I never heard that rule before.

Shouldn't the youngest get to decide sometimes?

- Nope. And you know what I say we do?

Hide and seek! You're it.

- I wish I could have a birthday of my own.

Then I could hide first.

- Mrs. Z!

- You like you're planning a birthday party.

- We are Mrs. Z, how can you tell?

Candles, streamers, cake, happiness.

- It's a birthday party for Marty.

- Yeah, because Marty never had a birthday before.

you can't understand them at all.

- Take a deep breath or whatever it is that you do.

- Yes. I'm feeling much better.

I mean, I'm feeling much better.

You see, my dish Dame brew

I mean, my wish came true.

- What wish Marty?

- The wish I made when I blew out the candles

on my birthday cake.

- What was your wish?

- Well, remember how sad I was

because Dooley had a birthday and I didn't.

- Yes

- Well, I wished that I had a birthday and well, I do.

- That's great Marty, how did you find out?

- I looked in my manual.

My manual is the book that explains how I work.

- Yes?

- Then, I opened up my chest and I pulled out a plate

so that I could look at another part.

- Yes?

- And the biggest surprise of all; there was writing

on the other side of the plate here.

- This Marty robot was built on the fourth of Lark

in the 10th year of Milliken.

Oh, it's the day and year that Marty was put together

and turned on!

- This really is a great birthday.

- That's great Marty. Now you understand birthdays.

- And surprises.

- I sure do. Let's get into those presents.

Ever since my ship landed here on earth

I've learned lots about your planet.
