I'm so glad you're here,

because today, we're going to learn all about weather.

Here on your beautiful planet, you have rain

and snow,

and wind,

and the sun...

It's so exciting, and there's so much to see!

So come on!

Let's get started!

- Oh, simmering stars. I love walking in the garden,

enjoying the flowers,

the green trees,

the lovely lawn.

What happened?

Look at all the flowers!

Everything is so green.

Mighty meteors! Max! Nick! Marty!

Everybody!

Something's happened to the garden!

- Dooley, what is it?

- Are you okay?

- Hut's mut, Dooley?

I mean, uh, what's up?

- Leaping light years!

Just look! Everything is so big!

Where did all these flowers come from?

- Is that all? You really had us worried.

- We thought something was wrong.

- Oh. (chuckles)

No. Nothing's wrong. Everything is wonderful.

The garden looks so pretty.

Everything is so green.

And where did all these new flowers come from?

- I think I snow nut nappen. I mean, uh,

know what happened.

It rained all last week. And, here on earth, when it rains,

plants grow.

- Oh.

- Rain helps plants grow.

- That's right. Rain and sunlight.

- Rain? And sunlight? Cosmic comets! I don't get it.

Which do plants need?

Rain? Or sunlight?

- Plants need both, Dooley.

Plants need rain first,

then they need sun to help them grow.

- But we need to help them too

by working in the garden.

- So, if we dirk in the marten, I mean, uh,

work in the garden,

do we get more flowers?

- Hmm. We truly, duly can, Marty.

I think we should get started right now.

- We're all dressed to work in the garden.

I'll go get the soil.

- I've got the flower pots.

- I've got the gardening tools.

- And I've got the battering ram.

I mean, uh, (chuckles) the watering can.

- And I have the seeds.

Well, I guess we have everything we need

to do some planting.

(upbeat music)

♪ We start with a seed, ♪

♪ Like Dooley said. ♪

♪ A pot of soil, to make it's bed. ♪

♪ We place it so, the sun and the seed ♪

♪ Give it water, that's all it needs. ♪

But I do know one thing. I sure want to see them try.

- Today, let's play hide and seek outside.

(gasps) Cosmos! Why are you dressed like that?

- I'm wearing sunglasses to protect my eyes

from the bright sun.

And a hat to keep the sun

off my fuzzy, little head.

Uh, Zoom? Can you tell me something?

- Anything, Cosmos, old buddy.

- Why are you dressed like that?

- Well, I'm wearing a hat to protect my head.

And a scarf to keep my neck and face warm from the cold.

- But... it's a warm, sunny day.

You'd better change.

- No, no.

I think, you'd better change.

It's cold outside.

- Uh, are you sure, Zoom?

- Yes.

Are you sure, Cosmos?

- Uh, well, I think so.

But, maybe I should change. (gasps)

- Then, maybe I should change too.

(robot beeping)

(book slams)

- These Bible fun facts, are about weather.

The Bible tells us, God made the sun to keep us warm.

God made the weather too.

The clouds, thunder, lightning and rain.

God also made rainbows to remind us of his promise,

that the rain will always stop,

and that the sun will come out again.

(pen scribbles)

- Oh, are they growing yet?

- No, Dooley. Flowers don't grow as soon as you plant them.

- They take time, and water.

- And plant food.

- But not too much.

- Oh, I know.

That's what you tell me

every time I ask if we can feed and water the plants again.

- Howdy do, all!

- Mrs. Z!

- Looks like you've been gardening.

- That's right, Mrs. Z.

We just got finished planting some flowers.

- We watered them,

and fed them,

but I think they'll grow faster with some rain.

- Oh, you don't want to give flowers too much water, Dooley.

But I do have your letter of the day.

- And raincoat, which is what I wear, when it rains.

- And run, which is what I do when I get caught in the rain.

- Well, so far, we made it cold and snow,

- Whoa!

Today, I learned all about weather.

And the seasons.

I learned that gardens need rain, and sun, and help to grow.

Marty built a weather machine that showed us

all kinds of weather.

We had rain, and sun, and even snow.

And I learned that there are four seasons.
