It was a very sunny day and Conniey's

parents left their shed and went to eat

in the fields They were surprised to see

their little daughter making her way

into the forest but they guessed she had

gone to visit her friends And they were

right

[Music]

Connie went to see Henry the owl He was

very intelligent and she knew that she

would learn very interesting things from

him Hello Collier Hello there Henry

Did you know that you live in a very

nice tree Oh there is a diamond in the

tree It's very big and colorful It looks

like a diamond but it's not

Ah you're right Henry It's a little

insect

[Music]

Connie was hungry and thought that the

leaves on the tree would make a good

breakfast Hey leave my food alone

Oh a stick that speaks It's not a stick

but an insect Sometimes things are not

what they seem

Connie was very curious and went to look

at what the caterpillars were doing in

the tree

[Music]

Connie saw one caterpillar but was alone

There's no food on this branch Why

aren't you with the others They've got

lots of leaves to eat They don't want me

to be with them They say that I'm ugly

Yes he's so ugly If he comes here he

will frighten away our friend Bella

Bella was a beautiful caterpillar All

the caterpillars in the tree were in

love with her especially Flap the ugly

caterpillar He spent the whole day

looking at her She was so beautiful and

he thought that she would never look at

him Oh I'm sorry Poor thing Connie went

to find some food for him

After a long day night arrived

The next morning Connie left the shed

and went to visit Henry and her new

friend the ugly caterpillar

caterpillars Instead she found some

strange looking pods

Don't worry Connie The caterpillars

haven't disappeared

They're each inside a chrysalis

they're transforming inside Tomorrow

they will reappear as beautiful

butterflies Connie looked at the ugly

caterpillar's nest What will he look

like I'll come back tomorrow to see the

butterflies I'll wait for you here

Connie couldn't sleep that night She

just couldn't wait for the next day to

see the caterpillars transformed into

butterflies

And finally the new day arrived

Come on Connie The butterflies are about

to appear

[Music]

The first butterflies to appear had been

the two greedy caterpillars Your colors

are not very nice What are you talking

about They're nicer than yours Then

Bella appeared Beautiful and radiant Oh

Bella is such a beautiful butterfly

Oh yes She's pretty

Then Connie and the butterflies went to

see what the ugly caterpillar looked

like

Oh yeah Everybody was surprised to see

how the ugly caterpillar had transformed

into a beautiful butterfly The ugly

caterpillar was very happy with his new

look Bella was looking at him very

lovingly Oh Bella has fallen in love

with him

The ugly caterpillar was very happy

because he also knew that Bella was in

love with him and that they would fly

together forever

Connie was very happy looking at the two

colorful butterflies playing in the sky

The two greedy butterflies saw that

Bella was happy and they flew off

wishing they hadn't made fun of the ugly

caterpillar

That night Connie realized that she had

learned a valuable lesson You shouldn't

make fun of anybody just because of
