Gee, at last, I grew up.

Aw, much better.

Golly, Speedy.

With Yakky ten times bigger than us

we gotta go ten times faster to catch him.

Okay, Tink.

[male narrator] Now crossing the Tidal Basin into the West Potomac Park

the Yogis have a giant lead.

The Scoobies are second with the Rottens last.

[cheering]

There's nothing like a parade to stop traffic, eh, dad?

Yeah.

[sniggers]

Oh, gee.

[instrumental music]

[Fondoo laughs]

Golly, Yakky. It looks like we've been rottened.

- Let's move out. - Okay, Tinker.

[male narrator] A fast lane, or rather a sneaky by the Rottens

put them in the lead, uh, temporarily

because the giant Yakky has just passed him

to take first place, and the Scoobies are

a close third, as the racers reach

the Lincoln Memorial.

vroom

I must speed up!

Zippity zappity, hear your master.

Make my car go zippity faster.

[male narrator] Wow, that is really fast!

vroom

Ooh.

[male narrator] This is something else, folks.

The Rottens are circling so fast

they can't pull out of their orbit.

Meanwhile, the Scoobies have completed their lap

to put them in second place.

Zappity zop, stop!

zoop

Brraagh!

Brraagh, yourself, Rabbit.

My magic worked, no?

Leapin' legerdemains, Fondoo.

You'd better practice your magic.

It's tragic even.

So is your ridiculous rally racer.

True, I do need another vehicle.

A better set of wheels.

So, zamity zomity and please to behold!

Another racer to replace the old!

boom

Ta-da!

[male narrator] Now as our racers approach the Capitol Building

the Yogis are maintaining a huge lead.

The Scoobies are second, trying to close the gap.

And, oh, no, why is a submarine racing down

Pennsylvania Avenue?

Why not?

Full speed ahead, Rabbit.

Rah! Rah!

Golly, can't you speed up, Speedy?

[sputtering]

Sorry, Tink.

I guess you need a little pick-me-up.

So, here's a few drops of vitamin-A for atomic fuel.

[Tinker sniggers]

vroom

Hmm. Not a bad trick.

[cheering]

I shall undo that duck.

A zippity zap on the Yogi who quacks.

And stoppity Speedy in his tracks.

boom

[male narrator] Oh, no.

The race was almost over.

But Fondoo went bananas with his magic again, folks.

Now just yards away from the finish line

Little Yakky is still first.

The Scoobies are second.

While the third place Rottens

seem to be sitting this one out.

[instrumental music]

Golly, Speedy. Fondoo's magic shorted you out.

But a push will get you started.

But, let's go!

Can I help it if I had a magical power failure?

[Mildew] 'Wow, looks like we'll have a ducky in a..'

[male narrator] Look again, Mildew.

In an amazing burst of speed

the Scoobies have zoomed ahead to cross first.

The Yogis are a close second.

Which naturally makes the Rottens

a cinch for third place.

Brrrak!

[male narrator] Checking the scores, we see

that the Scoobies win has put them

on the top floor with 60 points.

The Yogis are second with 55.

The Scoobies, Hong Kong Phooey.

And Orful Octopus, of the Rottens.

[cheering]

And speaking for Orful, please stand by for a personal

interview with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Octopus.

Hi, folks. Everyone knows your son is a really rotten athlete.

But as a young squid, eh, kid, was he good at sports, too?

[gibberish]

Talk up on parental pride.

And what a loving couple.

Married all these years and still holding tentacles.

[laughs]

[male narrator] There is the call to action, contestants.

So, hit it.

Hey hut hut hut hut, even.

Ah, this obstacle course is too much, Snag.

Running through tires.

Climbing this rope netting

and swinging over a mud puddle.

Huh, there's only one thing rougher than running this course

and that's reporting it.

[male narrator] The Rottens are approaching

the first obstacle

in a blur of speed.

The Scoobies are a close second.

But as for the Yogis, oh, too bad, Boo-Boo.

[cheering]

[instrumental music]

Sufferin' seaweed, Orful.

'You're not playing ring around the octopus, you know.'

[male narrator] Well, it looks like the Rottens got tired out of first.

So, the Scoobies have taken their place.

[cheering]

Uh-oh, it looks like the Scoobies and Rottens

are both in trouble.

Especially as the spring loaded

Yogis bounce past them to take the lead.

Hah! I see the Rottens have finally sprung back in action.

Hah! But they can't be cats.

[groaning]

[male narrator] Now, as Boo-Boo reaches the next obstacle

Orful is rolling close behind

while Hong Kong is taking the tire course

in leaps and bounds.

Great. Little Boo-Boo has reached the net climb first.

But, oh, no!

The Rottens just rolled

past him to take the lead.

But why has Hong Kong stopped?

Since the object is to get to the other side

why climb up?

Sah!

It's faster to climb through.

[laughs]

[male narrator] Yes, thanks to

Hong Kong's karate, the Scoobies

have short cutted it into first place.

But the Rottens are almost on top of him.

Meanwhile, the Yogis are just starting down.

It's okay to make tracks.

But not all over my new karate jacket.

Gee, I better bear down if I'm gonna keep up.

[rapid footsteps]

[screaming]

[male narrator] Well, it seems Hong Kong is wound up with himself.

Who knows what's with Orful.

But, look at Boo-Boo go.

It's really close now folks.

Boo-Boo is half way over.

Hong Kong is swinging high.

But why are the Rottens going backwards?

So, that's it, Orful's using the old rubber band

snap back technique, to sail through the finish banner

and win for the Rottens.

The Yogis have swung into second place

just under the Scoobies, who landed in third.
