Herman's Herman sold even more records

than the Beatles yeah we were lucky i

don't know if it's because they were

taking the year off or something but we

had nine singles came out in one year

and they were all top 10 so we just sold

more records than anybody did you have

screaming crowds everywhere you went

yeah we did actually except in our

hometown the only place where people

didn't scream was at our school when we

used to go back to our school the girls

there wouldn't scream at us cuz they

knew us but we'd come to America and

girls would scream and chase us and

chase after our limo and everything and

we used to run away we were so stupid

what was it like being part of the scene

in the ' 60s it was the ' 60s was very

it was unique because most of the

musicians who were in it were were kind

of uh friendly you know we knew the

Beatles and we knew Jerry and the

Pacemakers and we knew the Rolling

Stones and there was a great amount of

um good energy between the bands you

know we all used to hang out together

we'd do TV shows like in New York and

you'd be on the TV with the Beatles and

the Stones and Tom Jones and we'd all

hang out and go out together can you
