Lila, we're so excited to host your
Princess Promise ceremony tonight.

Then you'll get to start your journey
as a princess.

[giggles] Thanks.
I can't wait to take my princess oath

and help people
the way you and your friends do.

But I'm also really nervous
about the ceremony.

I have to give a speech, wear a ballgown,
have royal tea, dance.

And I'm not good at any of that.

-Wow. That's a lot.
-I know.

The only thing I feel confident doing
is tinkering with things,

rebuilding them
to make them a little better. Like...

[meowing]

Mmm. Mmm. And voilà!

[chiming]

[meowing]

A dessert plate that serves people itself?

-Brilliant!

But tinkering isn't part
of the Princess Promise ceremony.

Princesses, this is Lila Lemon.

She's officially becoming
a princess tonight

at her Princess Promise ceremony,

but she doesn't feel confident
about her skills for it.

Her tinkering skills though? A-maz-ing.

Show 'em, Lila!

Tinkering is a breeze for me.

I just take things apart
and rebuild them differently.

Like this hat.

[Lila grunting]

And voilà!

[whirring]

[both gasping]

You made a hat that puts itself back?

You should come to my Fruitdom
on laundry day.

Fabsolutely!

And as for your Promise Ceremony,

you've so come to the right princesses.

We'll get you royally ready.

First lesson to get you
through your Princess Promise ceremony,

a royal tea party.

First, you lift your teacup,

pinkies-up,

and sip!

[all slurping]

[Fussy meows]

-Okay, Lila, now you try.
-I would,

it's just that royal tea parties
make me nervous,

and I start talking quickly, and I make
these big, big gestures, and then...

[girls gasp, Fussy meows]

[Lila gasps]

[thudding]

[groaning]

Oh, you see? This is what happens!

I have zero confidence with tea.
Oh, it's the worst.

It's fine. We'll just clean it up
like it never happened.

Wait. No. Let me help.

[kettle whistling]

[bubbling]

You made lemon clouds!

[Lila] Sure did!

A little combo of tea, lemons,
and bubble fluid

to make a tea-riffic picker upper.

Lila, you just out-princessed
the whole tea party!

That shows sparkle-acious confidence.

I like rebuilding things,
so, yeah, I'm confident about that,

but not about the tea,

which means I'm not ready
for the ceremony at all.

Lock that doom in another room, Lila.

There's gonna be lots more
princessing skills

to show off at your ceremony.

-We'll just train you on something else.
-[gasps]

Like wearing a super spectaculacious gown!
[shrieking]

Um, I don't know about this.
It's an awfully big skirt.

Maybe too big.

Rita, I don't even know
if I could walk in that.

Of course, you could. And you can, too.

Just do what I do
and pretend you're wearing very large,

fantabulous pants.

Uh, whoa!

I think I'm getting the hang of this.

-[Fussy meows]

You tinkered up a shoe-boomerang!
That's a pineapple perfect princess skill!

I wish tinkering was part of
the Promise ceremony.

Then I'd be a princess no problem.

But the ballgown? Huge problem.

Don't sweat it.

Maybe we can skip the ballgown
and nobody'll notice

because you'll be giving a cool
and confident speech.

You think so?
But speeches make me so nervous.

My hands get all sweaty,
and my face, and feet.

Oh, is it me or did it just
get really hot in here?

Maybe you'll feel cooler
and more confident

if we practice outside.

For your Princess Promise speech,

just talk about some of
the teenykin-tastic things you want to do

for your Fruitizens
when you become a princess.

And if you start getting nervous,

just focus on that cute teenykin
to boost your confidence.

[squeaking]

[breathes deeply]

As your new princess, it's my goal
to help the Lemon Fruitizens

even if I get really scared and...

Maybe if I tinker while I talk.

I'll get through the ceremony,

which means I'll never get to be
a princess for my Fruitizens.

I'm an almost-princess

and even almost-princesses
do things to help people.

Princesses! We need your help!
We can't get back to shore.

A couple bedazzlous ropes
and two princesses should do the trick.

[both grunting]

Water ski for the win! Tow us away, Kira!

One teenykin-tow coming up!

[engine revving]

I can't thank you enough, Almost-Princess.

You saved me!

Wow, I guess I did, with my tinkering.

That's right!
That's what princessing is all about.

Not the ballgowns or speeches

or royal teas or dancing.

It's about being confident enough
to do things to help people.

That's what you did, and that means
you're ready to be a Princess.

Exactly!

And you can handle the Princess Promise
ceremony any way you want.

Really? Okay then!

Let's go make me a princess.

Royal speeches, tea parties, ballgowns,
and dancing.

Those may not be my thing,

but thanks to the princesses,
I learned that's okay.

I can princess my own way.

And that means doing things
to help people. [grunts]

As a new princess, I promise
to always be there for the Lemonites,

and teach them to help each other
by building a tinkering playground,

so everyone can learn princess skills,
like mine.
