I could feel it wasn't right.

That was one of the worst times
of my life with Marc.

Then I went upstairs,
woke up Carlos and my brother,

and that's when I started getting dizzy...

And Carlos... I lay down on the bed

He grabbed my bones and it went, "Crack."
He went pale and said, "Let's go."

And we went straight to the hospital.

he'd do it all over again.

and win with one hand,

He had to try.

Sometimes we make the wrong decisions,

but others put you
on the front page of the newspaper.

And sometimes they don't work.

They'd come by and have lunch too.

That was motorcycling.

It was more than motorcycling,
it was passion.

It was fun, like playing.

But what always made me happy is winning.

Even back then,
I was competitive with everything,

whether it was to get dressed fast,
to eat the fastest

and on the bike, I liked winning.

And yes, being happy was like a game,

but I remember
that if I didn't win, I was angry.

But my first memory is a fall.

For real.

I decided to go to Madrid
because I needed a change

and besides,
it's where I could recover best.

where he had hit his head, and I said,
"No, this gives me a bad feeling."

And after the warm-up,
I assumed he wouldn't race.

I was in his office
and I remember that Santi came in.

"Everything's ready",
because that's his job...

But in that moment, I thought, "No."
I stood up to him

and said, "Look, Marc, don't race."

"There's a lot of races,
but you only have one life,

and you'd be making a mistake today."

Right then it seemed
that he didn't want to race,

but he needed somebody to calm him down

and say, "You don't have to race."

He said, "You can't go out,
you just took a bash out there."

"I mean, it's unfeasible."

I had the fall, a hard one, double vision,

but it still wasn't as bad
as the other falls.

MALAYSIAN GP - 2011

2011 is when I had my worst fall,

and that time, I even had to have surgery.

I spent two and a half months
seeing double, and the doctor told me,

"Once it stabilizes, I'll do the surgery."

It stabilized, he did the surgery,

and that surgery is what helps me now,
or at least that's what he said.
