a walk in the park.

of "love" and "marriage"

are linked to "death" in this episode.

In a way, this story encompasses
the totality of life,

everything that makes us human.

We're asking more of the actors
this time around than we ever have before.

How much do they want these roles?

How well have they prepared
their character's journeys?

Are they supporting their scene partners
as much as we expect them to?

Those are the kinds of things
I'll be looking for.

[Yeong Jun] I believe that acting
is fundamentally about

communicating honest feelings
to each other.

If it's honest and connected,
the viewers will feel that it's real...

...and the actors will have an easier time
immersing themselves in the reality of it.

how skilled the actors are

at seeming natural
in the parts they're playing.

[Ayano] Where have you been?

I went to see my little sister.

She was so happy
to learn that I was getting married.

[sobbing] Please.

[Tae Gyun] I don't care.

I'm going to marry you.

Haven't I always given you
what you wanted?

It's your turn now to give me what I want.

Ayano.

Will you be my wife?

[sobbing]

[Yuko claps once]

[Yuko] Thank you very much.

[tense music playing]

Now, the second pair.

Rio and Dong Kyu, you may take the stage.

[all applauding]

[studio cast] Oh!

-[Yuko] Are you ready?
-[Haruna] They're really getting into it.

[Yuko] You may begin.

[Rio] Where have you been?

[Rio sobs]

[deep exhale]

[tense music playing]

[Yuko] Are you ready?

[Won Shik] She was so happy to learn

that I was getting married.

[sobs]

[crying]

I know why you're doing this.

[Nozomi] Just stop it.

[Nozomi crying]

I don't care.

[Nozomi sniffles]

[soft crying]

[Yuko claps once]

-[Yuko] And now the last pair.

Honoka and Ji Hyuk,

-Okay.

[Yuko] You may begin the scene.

[Shusuke] Oh, this is tough.

I have no clue
who they're going to choose.

[Haruna] Yeah. For sure.

[a-chan] That was such
a challenging scene.

[Haruna] And each pair was different.

[a-chan] Yeah.

What was your overall impression
of the performers today?

Maybe it's because
this is the final drama to cast,

but I thought everyone's acting

was stronger and more consistent
than the earlier episodes.

[Yuko] Right.

Each team had elements that I liked

and that made them stand out.

-Yeah, it isn't an easy decision.
-[Yuko] I agree.

Yeah.

Looking at the second pair,
Rio and Dong Kyu,

all I can say is, I really enjoyed
Rio's interpretation of the script.

[Hayato] She's great, isn't she?

Won Shik was strong too,

and I also thought Nozomi and Honoka
did a great job.

The last pair impressed me the most.

[Yeong Jun] Honoka and Ji Hyuk
had excellent teamwork,

they supported each other
and were well-matched in the scene.

Yes.

[Jong Yeon] So, number four?

That's my choice, yes.

[Yuko] The third or fourth pair.

How would you rate
Nozomi and Won Shik's audition today?

[Jong Yeon] I think Won Shik can refine
his performance on set.

[Shusuke] That's a good sign.

[Jong Yeon] Since these are
the final auditions

and the last chance to prove themselves,

it's clear he wanted this. He had passion.

[Yuko] Yeah, I saw that too.

He's desperate to get the lead.
But I liked the first pair,

-Ayano and Tae Gyun.
-[Hayato] Oh, I'm happy for them.

-I'm still thinking. I haven't decided.
-[Shusuke] It's hard.

[Haruna] Everyone is so good.

-[Yuko] What?

The meeting went on for a whole hour.

[studio cast's shocked exclaims]

[Yuko] Right. Would all of you

[Haruna] It could be any of them.

[Hayato] Yeah.

[Yuko] I wanna thank you all
for your patience.

This was the final audition,
so it was a difficult decision.

We apologize for taking so long.

We have decided.
