01x06 - Back in the Diamond Saddle

Post by bunniefuu »

[mysterious theme music plays]

[horse whinnying]

[Malibu] We did it!

We did it.

[sighing]

Where is everyone else?

Ken, you must tell me.

How is your father?

Dad's good. Could be more

lenient with my curfew,

but, you know, he's good.

Marcus, be a dear

and fetch a pillow for my leg.

Oh, yeah. Sure.

A satin one, preferably.

He's such a gentleman.

I heard you're into hardcore parkour?

Oh, well, only when being chased

down shadowy Venetian alleyways.

[giggling] Me too.

[train horn blowing]

Hey, has anyone seen Malibu and Brooklyn?

Let me see where Ken is.

Malibu!

Buongiorno. Como state?

Barbie! Other Barbie?

[chuckling] Oh, pleasure to see you again.

Giovanni?

What are you doing here?

Did either of you perchance see my saddle?

It's covered in diamonds. No?

Gino and Marco

seem to have misplaced it again.

Eh, no matter.

I'm a bit more interested

in my, uh, other prize anyway.

[chortling triumphantly]

Have a lovely trip!

- We should--

- Exactly.

[phone notification chimes]

Ken says they're in passenger car 1959.

"Need backup.

We're in the animal car."

[phone notification chimes]

Brooklyn and Malibu

are headed to the animal car.

"Need backup"!

Uh, Ken? Where are you going?

To be backup.

[nickering softly]

Stay away from Pepper!

[Pepper blows and whinnies]

Hmm, I don't see it.

Do you see it?

[biting]

See what exactly?

Eh, Dietrich let me know that

Pepper is incredibly special

and of ancient lineage,

and, you know, one of a kind.

You know, blah, blah, blah, blah,

but she just looks like

ordinary horse, no?

Then why'd you steal her

in the first place?

Ah-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba.

"Steal" is such a messy word,

but if you should know, I "stole" her

to acquire the diamond saddle,

but there was a, uh,

bit of a miscommunication.

We said we're sorry, boss.

How many times

are you going to bring it up?

But it doesn't matter.

It's my horse.

- [Pepper blowing]

- She's not your horse!

- [sharp kicking]

- Ah! What the--?

[goat bleating]

Stupida capra.

How, how do you say in English?

"Goat"?

- Grazie.

- [goat bleating]

Stupid goat!

The receipt from the Venice auction?

That's not fair.

They auctioned a stolen horse.

Oh, tell it to the horse police.

- Hmm?

- [mumbling] I dunno.

[chicken squawking]

It might be a regional thing.

You know, you had your

opportunity, but I beat you.

You lost. [giggling]

What are you all doing in here?

You two

Oh, hi! [chuckling awkwardly]

Great to see you again.

No need to arrest us.

We bought tickets this time.

This car is for animals only.

Don't worry, Pepper.

We'll be back, we promise.

What happened to our backup?

[tapping into phone]

"We're headed to first class."

[train horn blasting]

Ah, here we are.

Gino, Marco, you're here.

This is so not over.

Excuse me, pardon me, excuse me.

Caviar, Mr. Binatchi.

Yes, please.

No caviar for you.

Aw!

This is so not over.

Enjoy your less luxurious accommodations.

[tapping into phone]

"I am in first class.

Where are you?"

I do not see either of them.

[Lady Puddington]

Ugh! First class?

More like worst class!

Where are the private cabins?

The truffle-fed lobster?

The lobster-fed truffles?

Georgina?

Violet?!

And someone I've never seen before.

What are you doing here?

In first class, I mean.

Do they not check tickets anymore?

Not now, Georgina.

Can't you see we have something

more important to attend to?

What?

Ken, I don't think

the Barbies are in here.

[tapping into phone]

"Where are you?"

What is more important than me?

Violet? Violet!

Oh, these are so good.

I don't know why they don't

serve chip butties back home.

I mean, French fries in sandwich form?

What's not to like?

[phone notification chimes]

[tapping into phone]

"How could you

have just gone through the dining car?

We're here now."

It's like they're on a different train.

[gasping]

Excuse me, ma'am?

Two more chip butties, coming right up.

Oh, yes. Uh, no!

I mean, maybe later.

How many trains leave Venice

for Worcestershire?

Just this one at 11:05 a.m.

Well, there goes that theory.

Oh, and of course,

the Express at 11:09 a.m.

They're on the wrong train!

Ma'am, we will take two more chip butties.

- [notifications chiming]

- Aah!

Shh!

[yawning]

Barbie and Barbie are on another train.

Pepper's on their train, too.

Oh, that is great news.

But so is Giovanni

and his henchmen.

That is not as good.

Better with them than with us.

- [everyone] Morgan!

- What?

Shh!

Is anyone going to tell me

what's happening?

- Oh, come on.

- Shh!

Oh, go shush yourself!

[growling]

Well, I never.

[announcement chiming]

Thirty minutes

until Zurich station.

Zurich is our next stop.

We had 12 hours before

we arrived back in England,

but only 30 minutes until

Giovanni's next opportunity

to steal Pepper away from us.

With unlimited resources

and a two-henchmen advantage,

we were drastically outnumbered.

There was only gonna be one way

to beat him to hit him hard--

And hit him often, and keep him

distracted, and on his heels.

And with the rest of Team Pepper

on an entirely different train,

we only had ourselves to rely on.

You got a plan?

Always. It's pretty risky.

You know I only got a "B"

in Risk Management class.

What?

What is it?

You're in on it, aren't you?

With Giovanni, Dietrich, all of them.

You helped steal Pepper.

Violet, are you going to let

these ludicrous allegations

go unchallenged?

[sighing]

Lady Puddington is many things.

An insufferable neighbor,

a terrible dresser,

- a bad tipper--

- Get to the point.

She was at the fashion show with Dietrich.

[all gasping]

It was a very exclusive event.

Only the elite of European

society were invited.

What was I to do? Not attend?

Violet, you believe me.

Georgina, are you involved in all this?

Did you have anything to do

with Pepper's disappearance?

Do you really want to know what happened?

Yes! If it will get you people

to be quiet afterwards.

[sighing]

[clearing throat] It may--

Malibu and Brooklyn asked that we record

any heist-related conversations

for the podcast.

Podcast?

It may be hard to believe,

but Lady Carson and I

used to be best of friends.

We had tea every single Sunday for years--

Come now, every Sunday?

Shh! I'm telling this.

But all that changed

when she started winning

those jumping competitions.

She became obsessed,

and suddenly had time for little else.

I found a passion for something.

The teas went away.

I felt I had lost a friend.

If Lady Carson could find a new passion,

so could I.

So I began to dabble

in those competitions myself.

Dabble? You dove right in

competing against me.

Your best friend.

I I was attempting

to take an interest

in my best friend's hobby.

I hoped it would allow us

to spend time together again.

So you weren't trying to steal my horses?

No.

[sniffing]

I just wanted to destroy you,

in a competitive sense.

[sniffling] I'm not crying.

You're crying!

So you didn't loosen Morgan's saddle?

Good heavens, no.

Why on earth would I do that?

Mother, I have something

that I need to confess.

- I--

- Me next, me next.

[train horn blasting]

- Sure Pepper's gonna be safe?

- [Pepper nickering]

- [goat kicking stall]

- Aah!

That's one feisty goat.

Much safer than in Giovanni's hands.

[Pepper nickering]

Ready for a little train walk, girl?

[goat kicking]

Uh next time, Signor Capra.

Mr. Goat?

Hey, my Italian's

really rubbing off on you.

- What else can you say?

- That's all I got.

[Pepper whinnying]

- [Pepper blowing]

- Hmm?

- Yay!

- [gasping] Oh!

[gasping, camera snapping]

Ah!

- Uh-uh!

- [camera snapping]

[passengers exclaiming]

[child] Yay!

Mommy, did you see that?

Um

Shoo! Shoo! Get out of here!

Uh [chuckling awkwardly]

- [neighing loudly]

- Shh!

Whew!

- [neighing loudly]

- Oh!

- Ooh!

- Oh!

Huh?

The boss ain't gonna like this.

[grunting with effort]

[stomping]

[whinnying]

[snorting]

[screaming] Aah!

Pepper!

[neighing playfully]

[snoring]

[shouting] Yes, Marco!

What are you doing?

I was dreaming of the most

beautiful Fabergé egg.

It was magnificent, and so very rare.

My apologies, Mr. Binatchi,

but Pepper is loose.

[announcement chiming]

Coming up

on Zurich station. Zurich.

Zurich?

[growling and roaring]

Gino! Why did you let me

sleep so long?

We need to find that horse

and get off the train!

[train brakes screeching]

[growling]

Aah!

No, no, no, no!

[groaning]

Hello!

No, it's a trick.

She wants us to follow her.

We want the horse.

[distant whinnying]

[yelping]

Where is my horse?

Do I know you?

And she's not your horse!

Follow the whinny!

You know, whinny.

[imitating] "Neigh!"

I know what a whinny is,

and that was more of a bray than a whinny.

Ba-ba, hey, quiet, the both of you!

- [whinnying]

- The whinny is that way.

- [distant whinnying]

- It's coming from there!

[announcement] Final boarding

call to Worcestershire station.

- [train horn blowing]

- [whinnying]

Go!

And that's when I discovered a meal

- between second lunch and first.

- [Renee] Look.

That's good, right?

One less henchman?

Do you guys want to hear

about lunner or not?

[train horn blaring]

I think we got him.

[Pepper crunching apple]

[goat bleating]

[goat bleating]

[laughing]

[door sliding open]

[clapping slowly]

Bravi--

Bravissime.

You tried to defeat me, and you failed,

but there are no more stops

between here and England,

so we are all stuck on this train together

with nowhere to go.

Chiaro?

We may have celebrated too soon.

You think?

Now, if you don't mind,

I would like to return to my seat.

There's a Fabergé egg

I need to get back to.

Gino here will ensure

that there's no more, um, funky business.

Don't you mean "funny business"?

No. I know what I said.

[phone notification chimes]

Ooh. Renee says they're getting

some really good content

for the podcast.

- Oh, good.

- [tapping into phone]

At least there's that.

[train horn blaring]

A lot of people only eat eggs

in the morning,

- but with lunner--

- Thanks, Marcus,

but maybe we can get back

to the horse heist?

If Georgina didn't sabotage

Morgan's saddle, who did?

I might know something about that.

Into the mic, dearie.

Morgan, what is it?

Mother was so focused

on winning championships,

I'd become an afterthought.

You never were.

It felt like it, Mother.

You were more concerned

with winning than anything else,

especially after acquiring

Pepper and Tornado.

So I decided

to loosen Pepper's saddle.

I knew that it would

make her uncomfortable

during the routine.

I had hoped that Pepper

would become erratic and unpredictable,

and Mother would give her up,

and then the constant

competing would be over.

So while we were practicing,

Pepper acted exactly as I expected

almost.

[Pepper neighing loudly]

[Morgan landing]

I did not expect for a moment

that I would actually break my leg.

[Lady Carson] There, there.

Oh, Morgan,

I never meant to put horses

before my own daughter.

There was one good thing

about the broken leg.

I finally had your attention.

I almost didn't want Pepper

or Tornado to be found.

You think less of me, don't you?

[passenger] I do!

And I was just regaining your affection

when she stole Tornado.

I did not steal Tornado!

What would you call

taking her from our stable

and driving her off to the train station?

I was protecting her.

From us? Her rightful owners?

Hey, hey, hey, hey,

that's all ancient history.

We're all on Team Pepper now.

Hmph!

Cassidy, I know Malibu

and Brooklyn vouch for you,

but you have been lying

from the beginning.

How can we trust

that you are not involved?

It's okay.

You can do this. I got you.

[clinking]

Malibu?

No, thanks.

I couldn't eat another chip butty.

Malibu!

What? Oh, sorry.

It's just

I'm worried if we don't stop Giovanni now,

we're gonna lose Pepper,

for good this time.

So

So we have to force Giovanni

into making a mistake,

and I think I know how.

Malibu, wait up!

You gotta let me in on these things.

Ugh, I have had just about

enough of you two

for one train ride.

You find Marco yet?

[laughing]

Very funny.

He's picking up some Swiss chocolate

and a one-of-a-kind fondue set.

You came all the way back here

to mock me, huh?

No, no, no--

Well, maybe just a bit.

Just a bit. We're actually

here to congratulate you.

You're about to be the toast

of the entire horse-owning world

now that you own

the only remaining descendant

of Queen Elizabeth's royal stables,

all you need now is to prove it.

Eh mi scusi.

Prove what, now?

How are you going to prove

how valuable Pepper is?

It seems like you need something like,

oh, I don't know, this?

Without this, you have

no proof of Pepper's worth.

It's like a rare comic or baseball card

without certification.

I think I know what a certification is.

Give me that.

[exciting music plays]

Uh

[straining]

[gasping]

[Giovanni panting]

- Mi scusi!

- Ahem!

Ah!

- Hmm.

- Uh

H'yah!

[gasping]

Ah!

[train horn blaring]

[laughing menacingly]

[grunting]

[gasping]

This is bonkers!

What were you thinking?

Me? This was your plan!

[train horn blaring]

- What's wrong?

- [Brooklyn] Tunnel!

- Uh-oh.

- [clanging]

[train horn blaring]

[groaning]

[growling] Barbies!

[roaring]

As you know, Lady Carson

bought Pepper and Tornado

from my family's farm.

It was all on the up and up.

It was.

Things haven't been so good lately,

and we needed the money,

but I had raised Pepper and Tornado

since they were foals.

[together] Aw

Denholm had been letting me sneak in

and check on them from time to time.

On the night of the gala,

I just wanted to check on them

and see if they were okay

but when I got there,

Pepper was already gone.

Somehow Giovanni's henchmen stole Pepper

and the diamond saddle.

I'm so sorry, Cassidy.

I didn't know,

but why did you tell us

you were with Scotland Yard?

I thought somehow I could secretly help.

I really did,

but then Brooklyn and Malibu

found me in the stables,

and I didn't know what to do,

so I pretended I was a detective.

But why did you take Tornado?

I thought the same people who took Pepper

would take Tornado too,

so I took her first.

So where is she?

She's going to tell us, Morgan.

- Aren't you, Cassidy?

- [signal bell clanging]

[sighing]

[announcement] Final stop,

Worcestershire station.

- We're here.

- Final stop.

Let's help out Malibu and Brooklyn.

We can finish this later.

[sighing]

[Giovanni]

Where are you, Barbie?

And other Barbie?

No more playing around!

I've got one henchman stuck in Zurich,

the other recovering from a concussion

in the medical car!

I know you're in here,

and I am not someone to be trifled with,

and I most certainly am not falling

for any more of your little tricks.

I've got you now.

A-ha!

- [screaming]

- [goat bleating]

No! Help me, Barbie!

- [goat bleating]

- [screaming] Help me!

It's a goat! I hate goats!

Hope you like your new roommate.

He has a bit of a temper.

Aw, that's not a very nice

thing to say about Mr. Goat.

Oh, I was talking to Mr. Goat.

- But where's Pepper?

- In the medical car.

I think she was eating Gino's lunch.

[Giovanni] Oh, not the shoes!

I hope it was a chip butty.

[giggling]

[train brakes screeching]

Malibu!

Ken!

- You made it.

- Brooklyn!

Hey, ciao!

We were so worried.

- I wasn't.

- Whoa! [chuckling]

Never doubted for a second you'd make it.

[laughing]

Oh, and you have Pepper!

- Oh

- [laughing]

This is so exciting.

[Pepper nickering]

Things are finally looking up--

And I'll be taking her from here.

[all gasping]

You can't do this!

We'll call the police!

[man] He already did, ma'am.

Just to make sure

nothing improper happens.

Mr. Binatchi, are you sure

you don't want to press charges?

International horse theft

is a pretty serious offense.

He's the one that's stealing the horse.

You've got everything upside-down.

Please, please,

I believe I have someone

who can clear this all up.

This is Dietrich Bluttbergman,

president of the Royal Equine Society.

Officers, I think you'll find

everything is in order,

and that Mr. Binatchi

is the legal owner of this fine horse.

Hmm. Looks like the horse is

legally and undisputedly yours.

[gasping]

You're free to go.

Grazie.

[Pepper whinnying]

[Pepper growling]

Hmm! Huh.

No horse, no rider, no championship!

We're doomed. Doomed!

I think I can help with one of those.

I know where Tornado is.

What?

[mysterious theme music plays]
