Wow! They're all so big and fast!
But only the fastest car can win the race
and take home
the big, shiny Grand Prix trophy!

the Grand Prix trophy--
my good friend Carmine,

Here he comes.

All you have to do is play
your trombone horn.

And I'm going to help you.

[high-pitched moo]
Listen. When these little cows moo,
it sounds high.
[high-pitched mooing]
So let's help Carmine play a high note
on his trombone horn.
That will tell the little cows
to move out of the way.
Hold your trombone with one hand
and use your other hand
to slide the slide in and out
just a teeny, tiny bit,
not too far from your body.
[plays trombone]
That's it.
We're playing a high note.

It worked!
The little cows went back to their farm.
[plays instruments]
[Leo]
Uh-oh, look.
The big, bad race cars
are opening up another gate.
[June] They're letting bigger cows
get out into the road.
[lower-pitched moos]
[Annie]
Those bigger cows sound lower.
[tires screech]
We know how to tell bigger cows
to move out of the road.
We'll help Carmine play a lower note
on the trombone.
Hold your trombone up
and slide the slide out
a little further away from your body.
[plays trombone]

[June]
They're moving!
[Leo] The bigger cows
are going back to their farm.
-[Annie] Yay, Carmine!

The big, bad race cars are at it again.

They let out even more cows.
[Annie]
And they're the biggest cows of all.
[low-pitched moo]
Whoa! When those humongous cows moo,
it sounds really, really low.
We have to play our trombones
really, really low.
Slide your slide out as far as you can.

[Quincy]

[June] All the really big cows
went back to their farm.

over all those enormous bumps?
