I woke up excited and ready

By far, one of my biggest challenges
in past relationships

We'd start off by Wiffle ball by,
like, 10:30. Wiffle ball in the backyard.

And then my mom
would bring out some pizzas and stuff.

We'd eat it outside

Then my friends would have to head home

because we'd have to be getting ready
for our Little League baseball games.

change, get into uniform,

then head to the baseball field.

Then we'd play a baseball game,
and then we'd go to Dairy Queen.

[Ben] Then I would
usually stay up later to watch the end

of the Twins game with my dad

before going to bed
and doing it all over again the next day.

Oh my God, that's so sweet.

My best memory was like…

Who are you guys? Where do you live?"

We told them,
"We're 13 and eight years old."

I would say my strongest connections

Naturally, in the real world,
that would have made me run away.

But instead,

I think it made me realize
my feelings for him.

I actually really do have a connection
with this person.

I did a little special thing
for one of my guys.

When I was a kid,

and I would save the coolest pictures

When I was a kid,

all over my ceiling.

The lights would go off,

- I went to school for business.

But I took a business class
and just absolutely loved it.

It just came so naturally to me,
which was really weird.

taken a business class before.

of how insane it is for an 18-year-old…

for the rest of their lives.

- I was, as you know, a skater punk.

- I just did not do well in high school.

I would have to go in every morning
at, like, 7:00 a.m.

just to go
to my algebra teacher's classroom.

I was so good at algebra.

Um, so, eventually,
he saw that I was trying,

and he passed me with a D-minus, baby.

I graduated high school,
which was honestly gonna be

my just best accomplishment in my life.

And then after high school,

I got a job at a factory,

a filter manufacturer in Yankton,
my hometown.

And I was gonna just kind of settle

and just work that job
for the majority of my life

because I knew that I got shitty grades,

a terrible score on the ACT.

I did not think
I was gonna really amount to much.

But my mom and dad told me,
"You should apply to USD."

And sure enough, they accepted me.

- I don't know who messed that one up.
- [laughs]

I'm sure you got accepted
for a good reason.

[Mason] I hope so.

But from there,

just really honed my skills

in video production and got a diploma,

and that led to

my video production teacher
hitting up my current boss,

and I was really lucky to just get

my dream job right out of college.
