your hands far away from the can and let

down a sheet of newspaper and then put

some baby powder on it now merrily would

you put your shoe up here that's right

do you see that the sole of your foot

has lots of holes and indentations and

designs that go in and out look at my

shoe my shoe doesn't have that mine is

all smooth on the bottom so if you have

a shoe like meh release you can do this

funny thing okay

that dust okay that's baby powder dust

now keep your foot there put this on the

floor and would you step onto that solid

piece of paper roll your toe forward as

footprint that you get and you have to

just tap it to get rid of the extra and

you have a footprint design that merrily

is now going to go over with colors and

make into real footprint art and put it

right over here for you and here's lots

of felt-tip pens here's some stuff that

we did as I say I couldn't do it with my

shoes cuz mine are all smooth so I

borrowed shoes from everybody around

here's another one that's really good

isn't it this one is an interesting one

because we used a foot and made a

birthday card out of a footprint take a

look at what Marilee is doing see she's

going over all the zigs and the zags and

perhaps you have a shoe that goes in and

out and you can make yourself some

footprint art it's really fancy footwork

boy are you touchy this is the story of

the gingerbread man the gingerbread man

gets into a lot of trouble and because

he's made of gingerbread there are a lot

of mr. characters who want to what do

you think they want to do right wherever

you are I want you to help us warn the

gingerbread man when he is about to get

into luckily enough it's a well-known

fact that all wicked characters and

stories give a particularly nasty

chuckle especially when they're about to

eat a gingerbread man that's a chuckle

they go like this whenever you hear me

go I want you all to shout once upon a

time there was a little old woman who

lived with a little old man all alone in

a little old cottage and they had no

children to keep them company and so one

day the little old woman decided to make

a gingerbread man to keep some company

unfortunately she used a little too much

yeast

that's yeast yeast is what you used to

make bread puffs up you know when bread

Rises yeah and when the gingerbread man

popped out of the oven huh

it was very puffed up indeed and the

first thing he did was he ran away from

home and while he was running he chanted

when I run and I run as fast as I can

you can't catch me I'm a gingerbread man

yeah but you can't hide it the oven

singing yeah I don't think I eat a

singing cookie

yeah well the gingerbread man ran and

ran till he came to the woods and in the

woods he made a big black bear the bear

was scratching his back against a tree

and the bear said hello there

gingerbread man come sit with me

under this shady tree and the

gingerbread man sat down next to the bed

yes the cookie can sing but he can't

think yes

and so the bear said I have a secret to

tell you gingerbread man and the bear

leaned over and put his face right next

to the gingerbread man and he licked his

lips and he opened a big toothy smile

and he said they remembered did you

remember did you remember good and the

gingerbread man jumped up and ran away

through the forest and while he was

running he sang this song you can't

catch me I'm the gingerbread man came to

a big flat rock and on that rock was a

big fat boa constrictor and the snake

said hello there gingerbread man come

lie down with me on this rock and catch

a few rays

and so the gingerbread man stretched out

next to the snake and the snake said I

believe I have something stuck between

my fangs

would you mind taking a look at it for

me and the snake leaned over and he put

his face right next the gingerbread man

and he opened up his mouth wide and he

said I'm a gingerbread man jumped up and

ran away

and while he was running he sang this

song no snake can get me and no bear can

you can't catch me I'm the gingerbread

man ran until he came to a big wide

river and there a wily old Fox was

washing his paws can you wash your paws

me see you wash your paws yeah yes he

washed his paws and the Fox said hello

there gingerbread man why don't you let

me carry across the river in my mouth

since as everyone knows gingerbread

falls apart when it's wet but the

gingerbread man said oh no you can't

fool me I wasn't born yesterday you know

if I get into your mouth said the

gingerbread man you will eat me well in

that case said the Fox you can ride on

my tail so the gingerbread man hopped

onto the fox's tail no no say it isn't

so it's so it's so the fox jumped into

the water and started swimming

pretty soon the water began splashing up

behind the Fox I'm getting wet cried the

gingerbread man and if I get wet I'll

get soggy and if I'll get soggy I'm just

a cookie I'll fall apart in that case

said the Fox jumped up and so the

gingerbread man jumped up onto the fox's

back but pretty soon the water began to

slosh over the fox's back in fact I'm

getting

in that case said the Fox you better

jump up on to my and so the gingerbread

man who was getting so sake that he

couldn't think straight jumped right up

on top of the fox's head and the wily

old gave a horrible smile he

flashed his jacket yellow tee and he

went too late the Fox tossed his head

and the gingerbread man flew up into the

air and landed cook in the fox's mouth

oh yes but luckily as it turned out the

Fox was allergic to gingerbread huh yes

gingerbread made him sneeze excuse me

and so as soon as he caught the

gingerbread man in his mouth

the Fox gave a great and powerful sneeze

which sent the gingerbread man flying up

over the river and right through the

window of the little old cottage that

belonged to the little old man and the

little old woman where he landed with a

bump right onto the little old bed that

they had built for him I certainly hope

he learned his lesson yes well he

certainly did that of him and afterwards

he wasn't such a puffed up cookie

anymore and he and my friend
