01x22 - The Walking Air Purifier

Post by bunniefuu »

There are countless number

of video games in this world.

However, most of them

gets buried under many others.

Standing atop of those many titles

is this Full-Dive VR game that has

over thirty million players worldwide.

The game that earned

the reputation of being a god-tier game,

Shangri-La Frontier.

The boy who loves trash game,

Rakuro Hizutome

challenges the god-tier game,

Shangri-La Frontier!

What kind of adventure

awaits him in his path?

Putting an end to eternity

it's danger, danger

The dots and lines connect

I just wanna know what lies beyond

outta the concrete jungle

The dungeon I race through

is a sea of trees

let's get ready to rumble, we can go

A-I-Ya-I-Ya

All right, you know this isn't a game

Twisting strategies, covering up the bugs

You gotta know pain to break the limit

A-I-Ya-I-Ya

oklet's get it

it's time to fly

I'm gonna die in my hype

Nothing bothers me anymore

moving your body

Light shining through the ground

They're hysteric

Our faint dream

But who do you fight for?

A-I-Ya-I-Ya A-I-Ya-I-Ya

The scene passing by, it's danger, danger

Now you're,

A-I-Ya-I-Ya A-I-Ya-I-Ya

Facing the stopped clock

we are the game changer

Keep going, even if

there's nothing at the end

A-I-Ya-I-Ya

if it's danger, danger

Raise?

(The Walking Air Refreshener)

(The Walking Air Refreshener)

Train?

(The Walking Air Refreshener)

(The Walking Air Refreshener)

I know! I can just raise one!

If there's no Ancient Craftsman,

then you can just be one, Bilac!

Me? As an Ancient Craftsman?

All right, bird-man!

I'll play along with ya!

I'll be an Ancient Craftsman!

Woohoo! Bee-neechan is on fire!

All right!

Bilac's training arc now begins!

Begins!

Y-Yeah!

So

What do we do for

Bee-neechan's training, exactly?

Huh? Dunno.

Ya dumb ol' coot.

How am I supposed to know?

Listen.

Ya need two things

to become an Ancient Craftsman.

Which are?

First, a heritage from the Divinity era,

a Legacy Weapon.

This job's about handlin' weapons.

I can't learn nothin'

without one of 'em.

And lastly, according to my pops

I'll need this thing called

a "maajiik ahhplikation yuunit."

Maajiik ahhplikation yuunit?

Don't you mean a "Magic Application Unit"?

Hm, yeah. You could

also call it that.

No, that's the only way to call it.

So, anyway!

If I'm gonna be

an Ancient Craftsman,

I need an operating Legacy Weapon

and a Magic Application Unit!

Lemme tell ya! Neither of 'em

is gonna be easy to find!

A Legacy Weapon, huh

Basically we need a weapon

from the Divinity era, right?

Sunraku-san?

Excuse me for a minute.

Sunraku-san?

Where did he go?

Found it!

This is a Legacy Weapon, right?

Huh?

Wh Why do you have one?!

I got it from defeating Wethermon.

(Non-Standard Armament: Long Sword

Harbinger)

It is a Legacy Weapon

But you need an operating one, right?

And to make that one usable

we'd still need to repair

this Ether Reactor.

To be an Ancient Craftsman,

I need an operating Legacy Weapon

so I can learn techniques

from the Divinity era.

I just need a few working parts

to learn how they work.

But if it's in this good shape,

I couldn't ask for more!

Oh, really?

Now, without further ado

Let's tear this thing apart!

Aaah! Wait! Hang on!

Huh? What is it?

I was just rarin' to go.

Well

I'd need permission from the other guys

if you want to dismantle this

Huh?

That's right.

I got this Legacy Weapon

from the Inventoria.

According to Katzo and Pencilgon,

the weapons and equipment

in that storage

are all shared between the three of us.

That's why each one of us

has ownership right over them.

Guess we can start by finding that

Magic Application Unit first.

Let's see

Pops said it's in this

Road of Past Glories.

Ooh! This map's really detailed!

Lemme see it!

Sure.

Um

I'll be heading off from Thirdrema

So I'll first go through

the Prismatic Forest Grotto

to the fourth town, Fourfolkshire.

Then I go through the

Inner Canyon of Ancient Souls

and arrive at

the eighth town, Eighdold.

And finally, between that

and the eleventh town, Leventar

will be my destination,

the Road of Past Glories, huh.

Looks like the paths branch out

from Thirdrema.

I'll be going straight for the most part,

but it's pretty far away.

Hm?

Right after Leventar

there is the Barren Darkruin!

Let's see

Required items

Receiver Delta, Positioner Delta,

and Transmitter Delta

I get what you want,

but where do I find these?

You're not going to

leave me blind here, right?

Of course not.

Try hittin' the "Barren Darkruin."

That's the place for the items I need

for my Bonus Unique Scenario!

Dunno why, but looks like

I'm destined to run right into it!

Woohoo!

I'm getting extra motivated now!

Let's go there right away!

Hold yer horses.

I gotta get myself ready.

I see! So you'll be joining us, Bilac?!

But the question will be how'll

I smuggle two rabbits out of town

I can warp Emul around my neck

and that kinda works

Should I ask Bilac to consume MP

like crazy and turn into a human?

I can't transform into a human.

What? Really?!

Then what do we do?!

I can't be a human, but

Let's do it, Emul!

Yes, sister!

Hm?!

We'll show you

our disguise skills!

Skills!

A perfect fur coat

and a scarf!

Okay, whatever.

Right! First we stop by Fourfolkshire,

and to the Inner Canyon of Ancient Souls!

Now go, bird-man!

Can you please remember

my name by now?

Let's get moving!

But before that

I'll update my respawn point

inside the Rabituza Palace.

Respawn point has been updated.

Finally, off we go!

(Fourfolkshire)

The Inner Canyon of Ancient Souls.

It is the site of a battle

that erupted before

mankind has reached its

current level of civilization.

Ironically, the battle was forced to a halt

by the arrival of a horde of monsters.

However, the resulting deaths

later shrouded the land in a miasma.

It is now a nest of the undead,

resentful of all who live.

And even now, it's a

dangerous zone full of

rampant death and curses

that attack adventurers

they say.

Don't "They say" me.

I told you to avoid talking

while we're in town, remember?

(The Forth Town

Fourfolkshire)

(Item Shop)

It'd be hard to deal

with the miasma unless

you have a cleric or

an item with holy power.

Yeah, I know.

If you're exposed to the miasma

for too long, you'll get cursed, right?

That's why I snuck into this item shop.

Let's get our item

and leave the town ASAP.

The Holy Water's expensive as heck!

Though, I think we only need

to worry about you two for that.

(Fourfolkshire)

(Inner Canyon of Ancient Souls)

I see.

So this is the Inner Canyon

of Ancient Souls

Just like I heard

The air looks awful around here.

(Inner Canyon of Ancient Souls)

Whoa there, you.

How come the air's

all clean just around you?

You finally noticed?

This is the effect of the Mark

Lycagon put on me.

Be it sorcery, curses, or whatever,

it nullifies any force weaker

than that doggy's!

It dispels miasma too?!

But

But?

(Wyvern Zombie)

Sunraku-san! It's a Wyvern Zombie!

Wow, it looks stinky.

Was that also the effect

of your Mark?

Yup!

Lower-level monsters

will run away from me.

I wanna test out some

of my new skills, though

Say, Emul.

Thanks to defeating Wethermon,

my level went up like crazy,

but it seems I've gotten too strong.

So it seems!

So basically a warning not to lay a paw

on the Night Emperor's prey, huh.

The monsters here are such a wuss.

Even the Wyvern Zombies forgot

they could fly out of fright.

Looks like we'll have a nice walk up

to the Area Boss.

That's amazing, Sunraku-san!

But what a shame.

I was hopin' to warm up

a bit in here too.

Now you mention it,

I forgot to check your stats.

Can you even fight?

What did ya say?! Don't

ya dare look down on me!

Chill! I was just joking.

He didn't run even after seeing you!

He must be a strong foe!

I guess you're right,

but I don't think that guy can even see.

He's got no head.

(Rare Enemy

Dullahan General)

Sh-Should we attack him first?

Perhaps we can talk things

through with him!

Don't be stupid!

Dullahan's got no mouth!

Yeah, you're right.

He's ready to fight!

All right, time to fight a dullahan!

(Empire Bee Twinblades

equipped)

Well, perfect.

Lemme show you what I got!

Yo! We're countin' on ya, Bilac!

Yo! Bee-neechan!

We're counting on you!

Oh, you copy me!

N-No, that wasn't on purpose!

Don't be joking around!

He's coming!

Here he comes!

I know!

Ignition!

Okay, time to test out

the new skills I got!

Handle the miasma yourself, okay!

No worries!

Ah! Look out!

Keep your ears down, Emul!

Since he didn't run away

because of Lycagon's Mark

he must be a strong enemy

that's higher level than me.

And yet, I don't feel much

threat from it.

Perhaps because I've already fought

the ultimate swordsman and horse combo.

I'll dismount him first!

All right!

Now!

Vorpal Blade Tech!

Moon's Reflection Version 3!

Hey, you good, man?

If you turn around

when you're so unbalanced

If he's a dead body, he oughta be light.

Bet I can knock him real far!

Go fly for me!

Megaton Swing!

(Megaton Swing)

Whoa! She really sent him flying!

That's Bee-neechan for you!

We gotta do our part, Emul!

We'll follow it up!

Get your magic ready!

I'll cast Add Spell!

Moon Jumper

and then

Six-Boat Leap!

(Six-Boat Leap)

"Let me finish him," eh?

Gotta let an NPC take the spotlight.

Any trash game player

knows that score.

Fine by me!

It's almost 30 seconds.

Ignition's idling is finished.

Time to light it up!

Ignition!

And now my Luck finally

hitting the triple digits!

With my Luck turning into my power

Hand of Fortune!

(Hand of Fortune)

Furthermore!

I "equip" Emul on my arm!

I name this

Rabbit g*n!

Don't be so rough on me!

Now sh**t! Emul!

Magic Edge!

Hit!

Strange way to fight

but it's right where I want him!

Don't panic, boy!

I'll get you back to yer master!

Titan Blast!

Whoa

What a sound.

That was so cool, Bee-neechan!

Yes!

Heh!

That ought to do it.

(Dropped Item

Dullahan General's Decapitator)

Dullahan General's Decapitator, huh

Let's see

"Bonus to attack on the head."

"A longsword that once

possessed tremendous power.

It has now withered and could only

cleave through flesh with all one's might."

Aw, man. It's rusty and

doesn't seem all that sharp.

"The man had lost his memory, pride,

and even love, now even his own head."

"And so the remaining

body targets the heads

of not only the living,

but also the dead."

"I lost my head, so should

everyone else," kind of logic, huh?

What a way to vent.

Maybe I'll sell it.

Let me see that.

Hm? Sure.

I knew it. This sword ain't "dead" yet.

I'll bring it back into

its original state.

Oh!

Yeah, you are a blacksmith.

I forgot for a sec.

Huh?! The heck does that mean?!

(Emul

Bilac)

(Bilac

Job: Master Craftsman / Sub: Archaeologist

Vorpal Bunny / Master Smith

You're level 98?

No wonder you're so strong.

Right when I was glad

I finally out-level Emul

Still, I only got that far

from hammerin' iron all day.

You're still more experienced

than me in fights.

I bet you could easily

break my neck with one punch.

Hey! Who d'you think I am?!

Silence is golden, as they say.

As they say!

Emul

You're startin' to act a lot like him.

What?!

C'mon, let's get moving!

Straight to the boss!

We need to get that Magic Application Unit

to make Bilac an Ancient Craftsman.

Though, compared to

the other areas before

How should I say it,

this area is pretty simple.

Right. All things said,

it's a straight path to the boss.

Yeah! It'll be a breeze!

If I have a lingering regret

That would be

the "farewell" I couldn't say

This regret alone knows no end

Is it because I ran away,

from the eventual end?

The seed you planted

Has turned into a giant banyan tree

And now crying as it hangs its branches

"I love you"

Just that one thing

Just that simple phrase

I wish I could have said that

This eternal seperation,

melted by the rain

A fragrant Rain Tree

Memories are overflowing

I want to meet you

Heaven in the Rain

SLF Theater!

(#27 Reincarnated in a Trash Game?!)

Mini!

(#27 Reincarnated in a Trash Game?!)

(#27 Reincarnated in a Trash Game?!)

Sunraku.

Sunraku.

Open your eyes!

Sunraku, you have been

reincarnated in another world.

Huh?

You're now in the world

of a trash game.

Huh?

You must now defeat the dark lord.

Huh? Wait

Curses you, goddess who didn't

even get animated in cutscene!

And so, my harsh adventure

in another world

begins.

The enemy's level at

the beginning was too high.

The heck's happening?!

Huh?! What?!

I went through the wall's collision!

I got stuck after phasing

through an object.

Sunraku! I'll handle this!

Go on without me!

Go on go go gogogogo

Something's wrong with you!

Your head! Your head!

My ally not even behaving

like a human anymore

Wait, isn't this supposed

to be another world?

Is it really?

But after overcoming many trails,

I'm finally facing the dark lord!

Argh! I went through hell

just to get to you!

I'll make you pay for that!

Well done, coming this far, hero!

However, I, the dark lo

Lag is more of the player's connection

issue than the game itself!

And that's where I woke up.

You really do wake up from your dream

once you get reminded of the real world.

And what am I supposed to say

after hearing that?
