all the shops are filled with pretty

decorations everything at the bakery

looks so good I want some of those they

taste so sweet I love

them all the food we eat on New Year has

special meaning fish means plenty like

plenty of good fortune in the new year

one after we shop we go home and

cook we wear new clothes for the new

year did you know that red means

happiness my sister and I put up the

decorations

and my brother helps

too everything should be clean and fresh

to start the new year

and ask for blessings for us

all finally it's time to

eat I really like eating with ChapSticks

in my family we speak both English and

Chinese mommy shrimp is my favorite food

the roast P beef I like the steak better

because the steak right cuz it

symbolizes that when you eat it right

you be stronger and you like you know I

don't know probably like be bigger or be

smarter or even study harder

this this is a cake and then in t New

Year we eat it when you study you get

promotion this for daddy that means when

he on the job and then he get a

promotion this is my favorite part

grandma gives us gifts little red anold

beautiful so so if someone writes you a

letter in Chinese that's full of bad

news at least it looks

beautiful is it hard to learn how to

ride in Chinese Julie well it takes a

lot of practice but my friends have this

really great teacher that shows them

how wow

very different than the numbers we used

to see that's because they're like

pictures today we're going to learn

about Chinese numbers now everybody take
