sky I've never been in the greenhouse at

night before it's so beautiful isn't it

wonderful have an idea star light star

the feathers on the moon the what the

feathers on the moon yeah my grandfather

told me a great story from the Navajo

people about the feathers and the moon

you see a long long time ago

first man at first woman lived on this

earth it was a magical time then a

shadowy silvery time

in the earth and very little light first

man and first woman wanted more light so

a wonderful idea was born they needed a

Sun and a moon they made the Sun out of

a round piece of rock crystal take place

turquoise rays of red rain and bars of

lightning around the crystal then they

placed a circle of feathers around

beside first man and first woman chose a

strong young man to carry the Sun into

the sky he was given the name Johanna a

the one who takes care of the day you're

hunting it put the Sun into the sky

right wear it you are then first man and

first woman created the moon they use

rock star mica with bright shells around

it and on the moon's base they place

lightning and a holy mixture of spring

water rain water snow water and hail

water then they placed a circle of

feathers around the moon a wise old man

was chosen to carry the moon he was

given the name planet egg the one who

takes care of the night to hunt and try

to fly the rainy to the sky but he was

old and it was very hard for him so

first man asks the wind to help win

and left it the old man up into the sky

and he could move right where it belong

but wind blew so hard that the feathers

right into moon's base even today sky

okay I think I do see feathers on the

moon they wonder if Leon and Kiki are

still dancing downstairs probably

knowing yeah yeah

time for me to Kiki but you know a baby

calf is going to be born tomorrow on my

farm and my mom says she needs me to

help out oh so what have you guys been

doing oh you know the usual dancing in

our pajamas

oh okay grandma hey guys have fun I

couch

I like those kids sizzle I mean we sleep

up on that sofa every night and they

think they can just come along and kick

us out like a like a couple of pets or

comfy nuts of water I miss talking to my

dad my stuffed animals any of us is

going to get too slow

you all want something different well at

least you can get your own glass of

sky getting my water is a special thing

it's not like I can do it myself ready

okay so after I have my water there and

I go to sleep what

but that's unthinkable you mean you

don't say good night to your dad

where you stuffed animals no why why

couldn't go to sleep if I didn't have my

okay so what if it is bad luck to open

an umbrella in the house I say if the

roofs leaking and your heads getting wet

open the umbrella right right soft right

thank mister I bread bean burrito I get

ready to go to bed

first I have to have my shower with my

claws you need a little nightlight in

your room so you can see that everything

is all right and of course my that's too

much noise for me Kiki yeah when I go to

sleep all I want to hear are the sounds

from outside you know like the the

crickets and the coyotes

[Music]

well that's great sky except we don't

have any nighttime animals here the

puzzle place would you know if we don't

have our usual nighttime things we're

gonna have a hard time getting to sleep

no no each of us want something

different

hmm how can we make everybody happy

because if everybody's not happy then

nobody's happy but so we gotta sleep

somewhere hey maybe it would help us if

we thought about where other animals go

to sleep

whoa look at that ah see sizzle well

there's lots of places we could sleep

out here any look I like to sleep but I

wouldn't go out on a limb for it

now that's a bed only a bear what do you

mean

during the day tomorrow um you know what

says I'm too pooped to be completely

nocturnal I'll tell you what sizzle why

don't we take shifts yeah yeah okay you

can go to sleep for a few hours and I

will stand guard hmm and if someone

comes I'll wake you up and we can scram

out of here

okay sleep away my fuzzy little friend

thing that everybody likes before bed

and that's a story ah

so one of us should tell a nice bedtime

get to sleep yeah I just stay awake it -

I fall asleep I just read for a little

close your eyes and think of something

nice put a pillow over your head I would

look under my bed to check if there was

a monster there I count sheeps talk to

my stuffed animal I watched the TV I

would find I find something else to do

to like it tired they try again and keep

on trying and if it doesn't work just do

something else I never have trouble

falling asleep

those kids are wrong everybody is wrong

except me nobody around here knows how

to get to sleep okay everybody needs

something different okay so if we can

all just help each other get what we

need I think we'll be okay all right all

right Julie let's start with you what do

you need well I need a glass of water

and and someone to bring it to me

gee whiz that's nice hmm

stuffed animals I can't get to sleep

without my stuffed animals and I need my

happy music and my nightlight yeah this

guy needs quiet and he's nature sounds

so uh huh I have an idea

well first music for me nice and soft
